I will be going to Santa Pod on the 23rd Feb for another session on the draq strip to try and get my times down, I thought I would put a post up nice and early to see if anymore of you guys will turn up this time. The corrado turn out was a bit poor last time it was only me, Andi and 2CC last time!!! :( Come on put your names down it's a good day out even if you dont want to take your car down the strip it's £9 to get in and £13 for as many runs as you can fit in. If your going to take the heatshield off replace it with some exhaust insulation wrap you can buy it from demon tweeks and it will keep the heat away from any wiring looms or pipes around that area, without it you might find you will get unexpected problems occur!! Thats my two pennies worth anyway!!!

Andy are you sure they sent you the right air filter? cutting the end off is not to be recomended as it surely will not be sealing completely and that means it will let larger particles through which will mix will the oil residues in the charger, and form a paste which will act like an abrasive and will wear away the seals in your charger, and we all know what that means dont we!!!! :( I would get the right air filter if I were you it should measure 18.2 cm wide by 30.5 cm long!!

Hi Nigwell does it increase when you are stood still and rev the car or does it only do it when you are moving?

I agree withjong60 sounds to me like tappets open up the bonnet with the engine running and if the ticking is coming from the engine then it'll be the tappets if it is them check the oil level first just to make sure its got enough in it, if it isn't the tappets check the tyres for stones they make anoying tapping noises. Does the problem increase with speed or with revs that might shed some more light on the subject!

my beast has been lowered by 80mm I ve now taken the front spoiler off the bumper now as I have wrecked 3 of the bloomin things in the past 6 months. When the poiler is on the car you cant get your foot between the ground and the poiler it's that low it used to be even lower when I had the 15" wheels on it but the 17's have given a little more clearance. Speed bumps used to be non negotiable with the spoiler on but with it off I can quite happily get over most speed bumps now :D

Like I said I could be wrong but daves car is definately a factory colour and I'm sure he said to me it was helios blue but then again it might not be???

Andy is it the outer door handle thats broken? Youve got 2 options if it is you can pay up the £65 that euro car parts charge for a new corrado handle or get a passat rear handle and mechanism I went for the passat arrangement for mine as the cost of a new passat handle from the stealers is a third of the price of a genuine corrado handle and also the passat rear handles are delocked for extra security (Remote central locking needed) in total to change both handles and mechanisms it cost me the price of an original corrado handle and if in the future the handles do break again it's only going to cost £20 to replace them. The choice is yours You cant just replace the arm that breaks on the door handles unfortunately otherwise that would have been an option.

It looks like helios blue that they painted the mk2's in. take a lokk at daves car below I think it looks similar could be wrong though I'm sure his is helios blue!!! In my opinion it is a very nice colour really suits the cars lines!!

Wd40 is also a good product to use to break down the glue!!

I have Avon ZZ3's fitted to my beast and I am pleased with the wet and dry performance with them. I got them from a site calle http://www.topgear.co.uk they supllied me with 2 new Avon ZZ3's for £55 each and £4 delivery so all in it cost £114 and then one of my mates put the tyres on my wheels for a fiver job done!!! :D

when you say you can program our motors to spit flames is that just a case of richening the mixture as my C already throws out the odd flame here and there, I bought a flamer kit which is basically a spark plug fitted to the exhaust and a coil with a black box of tricks but the black box is a little unreliable I ve gone through 3 black boxes so far under waranty but the company I bought it from are refusing to replace it again and a new 1 is £50 so if you can get the same results for less then I would be interested!!

try the fuse for it does the radio lose it's preset radio stations as well I dad this and I found that the fuse had blown!!! pop a new one in and it shouldn't keep reseting itself!!!

The cause will be the compound of the pads themself the only pads I ve found that dont squeek are ferrodo unfortunately I replaced mine with motaquip pads and know I regret it as theyn squeek as well it's bloomin annoying isn't it!!!

They're all american models The yellow is a G60 the silver one is a vr6 the red one is a g60 and the black one is a vr6 If you thought they where bad take a look at this poor G60 below the owner says that he was doing 60-80 when he flipped hit a telephone pole and then a tree, he had to climb out the sunroof to get out and the only injury was a missing tooth and a broken heart poor lad!!!
