werhay sucky sucky 5 dollar!!! :D
-
I will try and get a date sorted but there seems to be a lack of interest at the moment I think if a meet is going to happen then somewhere like Horsham would be better as it is only 5 minutes from the M23 what do ya reckon!!
-
I' ve actually set mine to 1.5% and it's running fine better than ever actually. I did have to set mine up as for the past few months since I ve had the chip fitted at Jabba it's been running at a ridiculous 5.6% thats why I guess my fuel economy has been cr*p only been able to get about 180miles to £35 of petrol pretty bad eh!!!
-
The gas tester costs around £50 I bought it a couple of years ago and has come in very handy for things like this. Well if your corrado hasn't got a cat on it and has a chip It should be running between 1% - 1.5%co, but the MOT station will pass it if it's below 3%. you know how to get an accurate reading to tune it, if you dont you have to run your car upto normal temperatures then switch off the ignition and disconnect the blue coolant sensor at the front of the engine bay and also disconnect the crankcase breather hose that comes out of the rocker cover and into the boost return pipe for the charger. You then have to rev 2 or 3 times to 3000rpm and let it settle for a minute and then you can accurately measure your CO and adjust if need be. Hope this helps!!!
-
Have you got a Jabba Sport chip installed as my car has been running very rich ever since they fitted their chip I ve got mine sorted now I ve got a gas tester from halfords and some time playing with O2 potentiometer and idle screw and it seems to be alot better now. I ve also got an MOT coming up and think it will probably fail on a couple of things but I'm trying to sort them out before I put it in. Good luck with it anyway!!!

Very nice Danilo how much did the rims set you back, Oh and welcome to the site!

My best mods to date have been removing the side strips fitting 17's, slamming it to the weeds, and fitting a rear diffuser oh and almost forgot the powerflow exhaust (meaty!!!) There is more but cant be bothered to put it in words

Sorry nology only do the hotwires and spark plugs for the vr6 they do, do a coil pack and ingnition module for cars with a distributer. For more info on nology goto http://www.msionline.co.uk/nology.htm
-
I ve been told that nology hot wires are the best bar none. I ve seen a couple of modded cars with them on and they do look very good I was talking to darren and john at pd motorport about them at the weekend and they highly recomend them so they cant be bad have a look at the attached picture with them installed on a VR6. Each lead has it's own earth cable to earth out any negative signals which can damage your ecu and things like that, nology also do the profire coil and when conjoined with the leads they give an unbeatable spark apparently. I haven't tried them yet myself but I will be buying a set for my G60 as soon as I get it sorted out with an MOT and other nigly bits like that to see if they are any good.
-
The plugs for the VR6 are NGK BKR5EKU or BKR5EKUP's hope this helps

The correct capacity of the gearbox is 2ltr's and you should be using ep80 transmission fluid which is synthetic based

Working in a motor factors I can get pretty much anything of the everyday parts for your motor the only things I cant get are body pannels as you usually have to by them direct from a dealer or a company like euro car parts. If you need anything just give me a shout and I'll see what I can do If I can get the parts for you then I will get them for trade prices and post you them personaly and all you will have to pay is the carriage and the price of the parts

The g60 is a very tuneable car. You can get 250bhp reliably from it without too much hassle the main point to modify is the cooling for it as this is a weak point on the g60 moter once you've got that sorted you can do things like porting and pollishing of the head and inlet then there's the charger if you get that flowed and ported with a chip and pulley you will already be seeing the beat part of 200bhp then theres things like the cam and induction. Your best bet if you want advice on tuning your g60 lump is to speak to darren or john our very own g60 specialists on this site darrens number is 07786235233 and they'll be able to set you up with a package that will top the 200bhp mark without a problem.

Dazzyvr6 I know a guy that does an exellent job of tinting windows I think he may be a bit far from you though he did my corrado a few months back and did a top job He is based in Crawley 5 minutes from Gatwick airport, he has also done alot of show cars and has also tinted alot of the Lax Power and Revs editors and writers cars he charged me £250 and that did my rear window in black chromium 5% and the side windows in 20% black classic and it has transformed the car. See attached photo and judge for yourself it's a long drive from wales but you would be very pleased with the results if you want his number let me know I'll give it to you and he might give you discount as I have thrown alot of work at him over the last few months so he might do cut you a deal

I have a pioneer cd headunit it's about 2 years old now, and I haven't had any problems with skipping discs even though the susspension is hard as f**k it, all the other head units I ve had in the past have skipped alot I used to have a kenwood mask and that was a real pain in the backside it always skipped over practically every bump it went over, and my mate had a sony in his mota for a while but his also skipped all the time so I'd recommend you get a pioneer. I dont know anyone who have troubles with jumping cd's with a pioneer.
-
Thanks mate !! what did you think of the show ? It was alright I spose it could have been better after an hour or so I got a bit bored though. Did you go to the evening cruise the meet up was at clacket lane and went off to dagenham somewhere we never actually got there because the convoy car (subaru imprezza wrx) decided to lose everyone in the tunnel we had to go one side and he went the other, we gave up looking for it in the end and went down southend for the evening which was alright to a degree it's never been as good down there since the police have tried to stop it. 3 years ago no other cruise could touch it but now it's c**p i dont bother anymore we dont even do the Guilford cruise anymore as the police always end up doing me for petty offenses like having spaces in between the numbers of my plate even though they're standard lettering or the other one is fog lights. What mods have you done to your engine anything out the ordinary!!
-
Yes alright maybe I ve used the wrong phrasing there, what I meant to say then is that they can offer advice on how to make our corrado's quicker with modifications that they can sell us at a reasonable price that wont break the bank. OK does this satisfy everyone!!
-
Come on people if you want to meet and have a general chat and get some good tips on how to modify your c either post a reply on this thread and I'll sort out somewhere where we can all meet thats not too far to get to. My initial thought is the pub on the way to Adversane on the B2133 I think it's either called the Grasshopper or Lime Burners can't remember it's been such a long time since I ve been there. If you want to call me and have a chat my number is 07740482464 and we can arrange a date that we can all make of an evening in the week or at the weekend. As you can see our resident G60 specialists Darren and John are up for helping and giving advice on our little pocket rockets so a big thank you goes out to them already.

Have a word with darren or john at PD MOTORSPORT if your going to get your charger done before you go running to jabba as they aren't that far from you either ( Rustingdon in worthing ) they have competetive prices as well. -
Your gonna wait till it stops raining you tart  a proper enthusiast gets out there in all weathers rain or shine. I ve just spent the last 2 hours refixing my rear diffuser on to the bottom of my bumper as I nearly ripped the whole thing off while I was reversing and didn't see the stray brick jump out of the bush and staright into my path. OHHHHHH BOOOGGER!!!!! still sorted now all I have to do is dry off now I'm drenched!!!
-
No poblem mate I have nothing but praise for you and john now and will be treating my car to a few of your performance bit's I can see that you are very genuine and love the work that you both do. I will give you a call later in the week to sort out the collar for the air filter intake on the charger and the blanking off plate for the isv conversion that sounded awesome. Looking at my bank account I think I'll be able to load it up with one of your charge cooler systems as well but I'll discuss that with you later in the week. I caught up with terry with his eaton charged corrado on the way home and had a little play with him, I didn't have any problems keeping up with him even though the hole in my intercooler pipe was restricting boost to 2psi still good fun though, can you also thank john for the freebie intercooler pipe that was much appreciated. I ve been sitting out in the rain for the last couple of hours trying to fix my rear diffuser that I caught on that bl**dy brick at the corner of you road, still it's fine now and the scratches will be taken out when the rear bumper goes back to the bodyshop on sunday so non harm done.

Impossible peformance do turbo kits for the corrado's give them a try they're on the net I cant remember the address off hand but they get supplied by an american company called ATP they're address is http://www.8vturbo.com they'll have everything on there to do your conversion. there's also stealth racing available at http://www.stealthracing.co.uk they have the kit available for the corrado 16v as well. I have been there and done that I ve been toying with the idea of turbo'ing my G60 for a while and have phoned alot of companies but the ones mentioned above are the only places that have been able to give me any advice or prices to do the conversion. Good luck the basic kit from impossible performance costs £1900 and that will give you a 180bhp at the wheels there are bigger gains for the other stages they do as well all the way upto 400bhp they claim. I dont know how true this is. I had a chat with darren and john today at PD MOTORSPORT and they have a corrado 16v project car that has got the G60 charger on it and when it's finnished it will be pushing 350bhp which will munch those supercars to bits have a word with them also if you dont want the lag that you will get with a turbo conversion they are very helpfull and easy to talk to. Hope this helps and good luck!!

Hello its me again right first of all you need to check your brake fluid if it's ok and your handbrake light is still on then check the connections to the brake fluid resevoir sensor which is on the top of the resevoir if they are corroded or broken then replace them. And if that isn't the cause then the last thing I can think of to check is the switch which is under the handbrake but to get to it you need to take off the cowling that surrounds the handbrake just a couple of screws and it's off if the switch looks a bit worse for wear replace it they aren't expensive at all a couple of quid at max and if that isn't the cause then I don't know what it could be!!! But hopefully one of these suggestions should cure your little problem let us know how it goes!!!!!

Alright Chap I ve dug out my reciepts for jabba sport and found my one for the rebuild I had on my charger and the serial number is JS 531- S4 now I'm guesing here but think I will be correct in saying that the last digit or 2 digits of the serial number are the type of rebuild you've had, for instance mine was a stage 4 rebuild so yours would have been the R1 conversion represented by the R at the end of the serial number. When you bought the car didn't it come with any service history surely the rebuild reciept would be in there and that would tell you the type of rebuild its had on it. Hope this helps you in your quest for knowledge!!!
