I'm afraid not at the moment, they aren't mine to sell, don't think the missus would be too chuffed if the wheels she spent hours and hours polishing were sold for my corrado fund :D Beavisjem

Hi guys, anyone know any good clifford alarm peeps in Norfolk, still having problems with my alarm and the only shop in the city of Norwich who do clifford alarms are useless. Tried to charge me £70 just to look at the alarm they fitted (previous owner fitted it) 3 years ago. Cheers Beavisjem

Check the lead from the starter motor to the battery, mine was dodgy and wouldn't start the car. Otherwise check the usual suspect - Ignition switch (£12 from VW i think) and check all the earth leads are in good condition. Beavisjem

     Ok so i though this was all resolved, until this morning i get a letter from my broker telling me my no claims has been cut in half and i have to pay additional premiums of £123 in 7 days. WTF The letter said there is a claim against me that is outstanding and that i have to pay up. I phoned my broker and they said there was nothing they could do as it was an open claim and they wouldn't be able to refund me until it was resolved. What makes it so crazy is the incident happened on the 9th of July, reported on the 23rd of July and reported again on the 1st of August. I also phoned the insurance company and they said the same as my broker. What amazes me about all this is they couldn't tell me where the incident happened, what time of day, the other car involved, the damage anything. They only gave me the name of the person who made the claim and said that my car reversed into a parked car. For all i know it could of happened in anywhere in the UK How the hell can a company make you pay more money for something you didn't surely they have to wait till they can prove you guilty and then charge you. The more frustrating thing is they said it would more likely take months not weeks to sort out. Who can i speak to? What can i do? I'm bloody angry.......just watch out people if someone says that you're car hit theirs and gives a registration number they will cut you're no claims in half and demand more premiums even if you were never involved in an accident. Probably some stupid old bat who couldn't even read a damn number plate let along be allowed to drive on the road

Admin error.....policy number out by 1 digit. All sorted. Beavisjem

First thing i thought was a scam. The weirdest thing was i renewed my insurance on the 23rd of July and this incident happened on the 9th of July, there were no problems when i renewed and they gave me my extra years no claims. I have checked the number on the sheet and its the same as all the other correspondents from my insurance company. Very strange, I'll let everyone know tomorrow what happens. Beavisjem

Cheers for the replies, i came home at 7pm and opened the letter then, i tried to call but they were closed. Beavisjem

Just got a letter through from my insurance company saying my car has been involved in an accident on the 9th of July and i may receive a NIP for the police. They quote my name and address and the insurance company are correct. The ask me to ring to discuss the incident, and i may incur charges for everyday i don't call them. Weird as its taken them 3 weeks to send the letter. I can confirm my car hasn't been in an accident on this date as it was parked on my drive all day and i am the only one who has keys. Could this just be an admin mistake by the insurance company? Pity i can't find out whats going on till business hours tomorrow. Anyone have any idea's? Beavisjem

New Clio sport, was on a crappy single lane road for 15 miles with the clio trying to drive up my exhaust :fist: He had that silly glint in his eye when the dualled road appeared. His stupid grin turned into a frown when i was pulling away :D I was surprised that a corsa was keeping up with him, after proving my point at ludicrus speed i slowed down and he drove past still with foot on the gas. Just had to laugh as the corsa was trying to drive up his exhaust. That wasn;t a standard corsa. It had a dustbin exhaust and a paint job that looked like he done it in the dark with his girlfriend shouting directions. All a bit silly, but the Rado still won :)

Whats the best way to clean the sensors, just wipe them with a cloth? Don;t want to damage the things....... :( Beavisjem

Hi guys, after 3 years of fairly care free driving i am going to throw some money at my Corrado. After replacing the rear wheel bearings i noticed the rear discs and brakes are on their way out, the rear suspension is looking a bit sorry for its self, and the car gets twitchy above certian speeds, apparently the rear beam bushes. Also got an advisory for the fron't anti rollbar bushes on the MOT. What i'm asking is what i need to get to completly overhall the brakes, discs, suspension etc. Ok things i think i need Suspension - Probably going to go with Koni Collies with 30mm drop - Anyone know best place to buy Koni's Discs - No idea what brand Vented/solid/VAG/GSF Going to need all round. Going to get new ABS rotors. Pads - Always used padgid fast road - Any other to consider? Bushes - Lots of them i think - Can anyone tell me how many? OEM or Poly? Anti roll bar bushes - Replace the anti roll bars or just replace the bushes? Aftermarket Antiroll bars any better? Top mounts for the suspension - VAG or is there a better alternitive? Is there anything else i might need? Also thinking or refurbing my brake calipers, they are not seized and i have MK3 Golf ones on the back. Thank is advance for any help/suggestions. Cheers Beavisjem

Just wondering if there is anyone who has an IHI Turbo Corrado near Norfolk, I am looking into maybe doing this conversion for 300Bhp. Just wanted know what the drive was like and if anyone would take me out for a spin. :D Cheers Beavisjem

Well its still the same and as long as the MOT tester doesn;t thrash it up the road it should be ok. I'm going to be replacing the suspension and rear discs/brakes and ABS cadges in the next month so that should clear up the problem. Thanks for the replies Beavisjem

I am currently looking through the search function but haven't found anything that is similar to my problem. I had to change the wheel bearing for an MOT and when i tried to take the abs cage off i ben't one of the ridges. I bent it back so it looked the same as the rest. I gave the ABS sensor a clean with a cloth. Put the car back together and now when ever i accelerate hard or go above 55mph the abs light comes on. It happens everytime. Hopefully the MOT testing station won't go ragging my car up the road at more than 55mph. Could it be the distortion in the ABS cage that is giving it an error code above 55mph. Car is a 1992 G60 I think i am going to replace all the rear discs in the next month or so and i will put new ABS cadges. Any Idea's? Cheers Beavisjem

I'll try and put somthing together.....It only took a year after i ordered the parts to actually fix it. Only took couple of hours to fix the part lol

I replaced all three cables on my heater controls because they can get kinks in them and not engage the vents properly, about £25 ish for all the cables and clips, bit of a PITA job but now i have heater controls that work. Although the windscreen blows out of the drivers side harder than the passenger. Hope this helps
