Hi guys this is a bit of a bad one i think. :( Got the gearbox off and put all the new clutch etc on and then put the gearbox back on (didn;t go on very smooth) all the bolts did up. Now i have no tension in the clutch arm that the cable goes onto. And the clutch pedal goes to the floor. I did remember to put the pressure plate in but i have just spent 7 hours doing it and it doesn;t work. ALso the car wont start, it did this morning, the only thing i did was move no1 spark to get TDC right. Can anyone come fit a gear box? Or offer any advice Thanks Beavisjem

Hmm Veedubbed point taken, still just trying to find out if its a viable option on the G60. Anyone else have any thoughts Beavisjem

Cheers for the input darren, Does anyone do a clutch system for superchargers. If you had a clutch to come in about 4000rpm and then let the turbo kick it, it would mean you could run mid 50mm pulleys without blowing the thing up, or am i missing somthing. Cheers Beavisjem

SOOOOO tempting to try and do this. Anyone know how you could link up a clutch system to the g lader to kick in a certian revs? Or does anyone know how to start finding out how to do this?

Just wondering if anyone here knows of anyone who has done it, it seems some of the supers cars use a turbo super setup. Just wondered how easy it would be to do? Beavisjem

Might be the bearing change, when i changed the front bearing in my rado i had to remove the hub, thus messing up the alignment. Might explain your vibrations

Looks like an HT lead, not suppose to be split. Is the car running ok?

coolant seems to be coming from the right hand side at the rear

Hi guys, wondered if anyone can give me a few pointers. Basically i changed my water pump after my car decided to dump coolant everywhere a couple of weeks ago. I then had to drive my car home and it got a bit warm, not overheating but the water temp went to about 120. Since changing the water pump its been loosing coolant very slowly. From the max line on the expantion tank till the water light comes on takes around a week of daily driving. Can't see any steam coming from the engine bay although i did notice that when i squeezed the top water pipe that water leaked out of the side of the expansion tank :( Is this normal. Might try changing the expansion cap. The onl other thing it might be is that i filled up the coolant from the expansion tank only. I was wondering if its just an airlock passing through the system. I have filled it up twice now so i'm worried that the airlock problem would ahve cleared itself by now. No mayo in the oil and i can;t smell exhaust fumes in the coolant. The car performs as it should. All on a G60 Grrrr Any help or ideas Cheers Beavisjem

All sorted now, one of the hose clips came off and water went all over the serpintine belt, scared me when the belt slipped and my charger didn;t work  All good now

where should i get the bots, anywhere open tomorrow? What type of bolts are they?
-
I did clean the front of the block, and i can;t see any water leaking out of the top of the water pump where it meets the head. Must be round that plastic bend. One bolt was a little corroded :S

Just changed my water pump today, not the most fun job in the world :( Still leaking around the thermostat area but can;t locate where. What areas can it leak out of around the pump? When i pull down on the pipe leading to the thermostat housing i hear alot of gurgling sounds. I think one of the bolts that holds the thermostat right angled bend bit of plastic might not be holding properly, i change the water pump, the o-ring on the thermostat and the plastic 90 degree bend. But none of the bolts. Just don;t know what i have done wrong? From toping up the coolant the low water level light comes on with in about 5 miles of driving. :( The coolant seems to be dripping off the PAS bracket so i know its leaking around that area. Any idea's A disheartend and fed up Raddo driver
