Corradokid135, thanks for the reply. I changed the remote aswell because it occasionally gave me a strange low note when i unlocked. Which i think is the car telling you the remoe battery is low, anywyas i brought a new remote. Didn;t solve the problem :cry: Thanks for the suggestion.

Hi guys the alarm is still playing silly buggers. None of the fuses were blown but when i pulled one out (the 5amp one) and put it back in the alarm came back to life and started acting normal with all the bleeps and noises it should. Then after about 4-5 days it goes back to its usual tricks of not opening or making any noises when i arm or disarm. TIMMYVR, i've just pm'ed you about some supersprint stuff :) Anyone got any ideas about my alarm. Got stuck outside my G/F house at 4am and couldn;t disarm my car, got in it and the alarm went off for a couple of mins. Neighbours were not impressed. I think that its loosing charge or somthing but when i reconnect it it works. I'm confused Please help

Got a bit of a problem, would like to ask on behalf of my brother. He owns a Mazda 626 nothing fancy and had 4 years no claims and he is 29. His previous year’s insurance with Tesco's was £295. Anyway about 2 months ago a cyclist hit his car and fell onto the floor knocking him self unconscious. He wasn’t wearing a helmet. He came round and went to the hospital for a check up. My brother was questioned about the incident and was told that everything was ok and it wasn't his fault as the cyclist cut across him in heavy traffice and got his pedal caught under the wheel arch. Anyways my brother was told to tell the insurance company that there was an accident but it wasn’t his fault and there is no claim. All was fine until he got his renewal quote. £500 With no letter, contact or anything they removed 2 years of his no claims and thus put his premium up. My brother contacted Tesco and they said because this might result in a personal injury claim they have deducted 2 years no claim just in case and would refund any extra money after the 3 year period for personal claims. This seems wrong. First they took the no claims with out any warning, letter or telephone call. There is no police report from the cyclist for a claim, and now my brother would be tied in with the insurance company for 3 years just to get his money bad. Can they do this?

Recently i have been ahving problems with my clifford concept 550 alarm. When ever i locked it the chimes didn;t sound. Then sometimes the car wont unlock, like the battery in the fob was dead. So i brought a new fob and all was fine for about a week. Now i disconnected the earth on my battery to change the earth strap and when i re attached it the alarm work perfectly. Hmmmmm So thought all was good untill about a week later the chimes dissapeard followed by not being able to unlock it. I decided to disconnect the earth again and reconnect and bingo it worked. I clean up all the earth leads and did them up nice and tight. Again after a week the chimes stopped and couldn;t unlock. OK....it seems like the alarm isn;t getting a good current to keep the brain and the siren charged, therfore it runs out of power after about a week and then i can't unlock the doors Anyone have a clue whats going on with my alarm. Boot light, ICE amps. Is your central locking wirring when its off. Hope you find the problem

Check the main earth to the battery (the thick one) mine was corroded through and sometime the car would start and others it would sond like the battery had died. Beavisjem

Drivers side rear arch i think. Elec window relays are behind the driver rear door card.

Got to take my hands off to Adrian Flux Forgot to do the usual surfing for a cheaper quote when Adrain Flux contacted me and said i had 14 Days to contact them otherwise they will contiune my policy and Debit my account £500 for my renewal. Previous year was £607, so not bad. Anyways realised £500 went out of my account on monday and thought oh crap. I decided to check a few places just to anger myself more and when i punched my detatils into Direct line it came up £392 Blimey over £100 cheaper. At this point i was annoyed for being lazy. Need all the money i can get. Anyways i phone Adrian Flux and faxed a printout of the quote and within 24 hours they phoned me and told me they can actually beat the price and did my insurance for £370 Fully comp 24yrs 5 years no claims :D Refunded my card and i went out for a :drinking: (got a taxi home)

But if you put them in the rado you wont be able to get people in the back of the car because the seat belt will be in the way when you move the seat forward. They look very nice I'm probably being really STUPID "i'll get my coat"

Well..i think it was the MOT test centre. Car Passed with flying colours :multi: But i got in the car afterwards and when i pulled the handbrake on it ended up pointing to the sky :oops: Had a search but couldn;t find much on it. I know its a common problem, but can anyone shead any light on what needs doing? The handbrake Mech is all wobberly Cheers

Basically Darren asked me why i brought a G60. I brought a G60 because it was good fun, racey and you got that great kick when the supercharger is pushing boost. Problem after driving for a while in the hot weather my car has felt sluggish and slow. Got beaten by my G/F brother in his Mercedes Cosworth 190. The ambient temps are about 30 degrees here in Norwich some days and that just kills the G60 if you don;t have a FMIC. Can lose up to 25bhp. So Darren suggested a FMIC. Agreed I asked Darren if my car can give me that Kick sensation back, like when i first brought one and hadn;t felt it before. Darren says "YES" So i'm going to have some engine stuff done :D Apparenly my car will push me in the back, will feel like a new beast with the added mods. Another thing that made me keep it was i completly respray the car, i know every detail about it. Took 3 months to completly strip down get it sprayed and put back together. Keep the G60, just see if you can release a bit more grunt from it. What spec do you have? Cheers Beavisjem

Hi guys, my dad is looking for a new car and has showed some interest in mine. He would be willing to give me a good price for it. Only problem is..... Can i find a VR that will Be as good as my G60? I had my car completly resprayed 18 months ago and i took the whole car apart and put it back together. Soent 3 months just sorting it out and getting it sprayed. Its all going well, all work and there is nothing wrong with my car, BUT....i could go and buy a VR6 wih the money i can get from my dad. Only thing is i now have a higher expectation. I never want to do a complete respray. Took ages to get the glass out. One of the reasons that i am even selling is because i want some more power. I could just go to Darren at G-werks and have a CNC head fitted with FMIC and 65mm Pulley. But i like the idea of supercharged VR6 (how much £) What power are people getting with their supercharged VR's? I would like to also sort the interior out, its mint but grey isn;t my fav. Need to put new suspention on. Its stock at the mo and there are no problems. I am completly stuck, i can afford to get a VR, i love my G60 to bits and its in stunning condition. I can get a good price for it. Basically can i find a VR in as good condition? Probably Any help would be great, and this is not trying to be a comparison thread. How does everyone else let go of a car they have spent so much time and money on? Cheers

Hi guys, got a little problem. Was taking my G60 out for a bit of a thrashing and when i parked up i could see some smoke. Had a look under the car and it looked like it was coming from the front of the cat (engine side) Its hard to describe. I don;t think it was a hold in the exhaust because it was a lingering smoke, like when you have blown a candle out. It was kind of grey, not really white or blue. It was like somthing was burning, or smouldering getting worried incase sets alight while i'm shopping. Any idea's

Trying to cheer mine up after getting embarresed by a Merc 190 Cosworth. :( Might treat her to a wash.
