Might be a good idea, where do i need to look and how much £££ are we looking at?
-
Phoned up Exhausts unlimited for and exhaust part and they said that my car has a car and 2 silencers. Just looked under the car and i only have 1 silencer (the back box) Is this correct. Its blowin on the right angle bend and i ned to get it sorted but can;t find the right part. They say the proper part is £120, might as well go for a full stainless system, any suggestions. Beavisjem

My exhuast has just started to blow (On the pipe between mid and rear box, on the bend) there is a vertical crack, i ahve put some of that gun gum stuff on it but it wasn;t really manley enough to fix it untill i get it replaced. My problem is, the garages don;t seem to be able to get anything except the back box for the g60 :? I have a supersprint back box on mine but the rest is standard. How much would this section be from VW What other options do i have (sensible please) Beavisjem

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR   Just disconected all the electric window switches so no one could use them and its triped again, don;t know if it was the alarm engaging full closure or somthing else triped it, hmmmm i'm thinking i have a short. Do the door looms plug into the back of the fuse box, was going to test all wires going to the doors and sort out the wiring in the fuse box (previous owners bodging + monkey alarm installers) Any other places to look, and has anyone got a wiring diagram of any kind for the leccy windows. Cheers BEavisjem

Well i don't know, the car was running perfect untill i went to it in the morning and the doors hadn't locked  I tried locking the doors and nothing happened. Checked the forums and found that the electric windows and the central locking both didn;t work. Traced it back to the fuse above relay 90 on the fuse box. Changed it and all was well for a couple of days. Then it blew again, i realised it blew when i was winding the window up off the drivers door. Replaced fuse and opened and lock my car many times, - No Fuse Blown Opened Passenger window - Fuse Blew Opened Drivers window - fuse blew (after opening the window 6 inches Starting assume it the electric windows Then took me 4 more fuses to close the window :( Tried usinf full closure to close window (to bypass the switches) Fuse Blew Disconnected switches from passenger door, use drivers door - blew fuse. I don;t know what to do now, it all worked fine untill a couple of days ago. Could it be relay 90? Both motors seem ok. What should i test and has anyone got any ideas? Its costing me too much in fuses (local shop has sold out of 20 amp) lol Beavisjem

Well at least the auto cut off worked. Was at a shell garage last night filling my 87 polo :) After a while i felt my shoe was wet and i could smell petrol. Looked down and saw a couple of quids worth of fuel all over the floor. The auto cut off had broken. Shoes smell of petrol :(

Thing is my car is being sprayed and i took all the glass out, Windscreen was already cracked really bad so i kicked it out and i ruinind one of the rear quater seals when i took that out. Is it too cheeky to have 2 windows changed, 1 was broken by a stone the other was broken by me  Seems a bit cheeky that my £50 excess is paying for over £400 worth of glass Phoned up RAC windscreens and they were fine with the windscreen replacement, but i didn;lt dare ask about the extra window. Any one ahve any recomendations.
-
Do you think it would be possible to claim my windscreen cover for a windshield and a rear quater? With adrian flux. What would be the best way to find out. (and yes i should probably phone them) Beavisjem
