check the rear ash tray, next to the hand/parking brake under the rubber mat/pen holder if fitted

no , if it was knackered the car will be faster with it unpluged it sounds like you have knocked a boost pipe off, check all the pipes from the turbo to the inlet manafold

cambelts are replaced with engine still in the car on all engines apart from the 5 pot 2.0 20valve turbo and thats an engine and box out job with 14 hrs of labour at every 6 years or 60k

my old S3 was runing 1.7 bar, 1.4 is standard

check the front wishbone bushes and check the rear arm bushes the ones on the chassis infront off the wheels, the rear springs aways snap at the bottom aswell e36 and 46

the 50mm front splitter is about £40 with vat from a vw parts dept

i'am not sure on this DTA , but standard the temp sender is a black or green four wire job and the blacks allways go wrong and are replaced with the greens. how many wires are on the one on the car?

do you use the same handbrake cables ? or longer ones?

check the last letter on the part number on the coil packs aswell, it must be 'H' or higher and fit platium plugs asap, the maf should be in the intake pipe next to the airfiter ,unplug it and see if it runs better and there only £75 exchange and don't like being cleaned, but do clean the throttle body, post some pic's of the engine bay

ordered the last of the small bits like the twin intake,springs and shoxs,gauge pod (no need for a radio i can't here it any more)small filter for isv so i can bin the boost return, in about two weeks its time for the big one,a full engine build cnc head, front mount cooler ,a few more bhp and a very low bank balance

yes the r32 sounds much better but on a track day give me an S3 anyday

you can get both 280mm and 288mm discs with 5 studs or if your running 17's you can fit 312mm off tt's or s3's with boxster or 996 calpiers with a bit of work

You will need a 6pk1640 belt for a 68mm ribbed pulley. Give us a call if you get stuck sourcing one. nice one m8 and did you get my pm about a few bits and bobs for my car? as my wife keeps spending my car fund

you needed the engine code not the number this is to help with emmison tests. but as posted most to the time we just guess.

with the side lamps on you should have a small bulb on plus the main headlamp bulb on but dimmer then with dip beam this is the dimdip so removing will only stop the main bulb lighting with the sidelamps and not stop the sidelamps working

i think you need to check the compression again as its looking like the headgasket or a cracked head or block i'am sorry to say. lets hope it somthing silly you overlooked like duff plugs or bad spray paton on the injectors
