  1. I followed you the other day on my Motorbike & could'nt take my eyes off your VR (quite worryingly ha).....it looks absolutely mint in the flesh mate ! I've owned 4 Corrado's in the past including 3 VR's but not for a year or 2 now & quite honestly after seeing yours the other week (even with your chrome rears on ha) i've started looking around again....which the wife is well chuffed about !! Hope to see you out & about again & if you see a loon waving madly riding a silver Honda VFR.....that'll be me. Enjoy her.
  2. Well just to echo what everyone seems to be saying, i'm picking my 4th one up tomorrow (well the mrs is to be more precise) from the other end of the country. I've had various cars in between my corrado's including a couple of vectra sri's 1 petrol & my latest was diesel, Golf 4motion, Audi S3.....but nothing even comes close to the feeling i get during every journey i make in the corrado. I don't know what exactly it is about these cars thats gets under your skin so much...... other than maybe the stunning looks, great performance, driver feedback or the loads of admiring glances or even stares when people see something a bit different on the road. Anyway i'm back into corrado ownership as of tomorrow....so i better dust off my wallet again
  3. 2.8 24v V6 giving 204bhp standard if memory serves me right. 8)
  4. I've owned a 2.0ts & a 4motion & although the alfa is a winner looks wise (especially with the teledials) its got to be the 4 motion from a driving point of view particualy with the 4 wheel drive system ready to conquer the autumn/winter roads if you're going to use it most days. The 2.0 litre twin spark is a lovely engine when wound up but the pure low down grunt not to mention the V6 growl is gonna take it every time for me....just my 2p's worth, nice dilemma to have tho' !!
  5. It just bothers me when people don't even know the correct colour of the car....bit illogical maybe but it just gives me an impression of a person/owner straight away rightly or wrongly. Also when they can't even be bothered th advertise it properly, as i think someone already said i've described things in more depth that i'm wanting a fiver for !! Anyway i hope its everything you hope its gonna be, and it does look nice & that lovely 'purple' colour.
  6. Bought my first VR6 in june '06' had it about 18 months & spent as much on it as i paid for it !! Had a very brief interlude with a 4motion :cuckoo: , then had another brief interlude with a corrado valver & have currently owned my 2nd Vr6 for about a month now....hopefully this one will be staying with me a bit longer tho'

    Paint Codes

Chilli Red was a late Golf VR6 colour, went to look at one many moons ago.[/quote:i8ai6dbq] Yeah cheers, thats what i thought aswell....oh well i've got some nice non matching stonechip touch ups on the bonnet anyway courtesy of our ever helpful VW dealers & a previous owner who obviously knew no better
  8. Sorry mate, i hate critisizing anyones choices as thats the whole point, everyone is different but i always think the lines on the corrado are already fantastic so you only need simple additions to make it look even better & i reckon those wheels are just too fussy.....but hey at least it'll be unique to you. Andy
  9. Whats with the ' Ben Hur ' spikes sticking out ??? NO NO NO NO & more NO'S ....your old wheels suited that car perfectly imo.
  10. Looking awesome as usual..... :thumbleft:
  11. You ain't german are you ?? Got some on order aswell
  12. Just fitted my ne FK badgeless grille with brand new sparkly VR6 badge to go on it, opinions on either grille are welcome....not sure myself
  13. No mate, just leaving them for a bit while my speedies are getting refurbed, they've actually grown on me tbh aswell
  14. Thanks Jules, yeah i'm loving the colour aswell now we've had a few sunny days, thats definately where its at its best !! Bit of a strange one like today tho, i had a proper look at the sticker in the rear panel & according to the paint code on there its 'LP7Z' which is a 1991 grey colour  But i'm sure someone else on here found exactly the same as me but after a discussion with VW it was confirmed to be a sherry pearl !! All in all i definately think it was worth the full 14 hours it took me to get over to north Wales & then back over to Newcastle with it tho' :D
  15. Thanks Matt, i'll give him a ring in the morning.
  16. Indeed I'm not - 2 years in Wideopen, 29 years in Monkseaton, 3 years in Surrey. Was back there at Easter watching the Toon beat Fulham. The accent has mellowed a bit since I've moved down south, but I'm still a Geordie :) There all over the place these bloody geordies  You would have probably seen me at the match then, i was the one with the ' toon army ' top on  Hope you are getting regular trips back up then to recharge that fantastic accent of ours. By the way i've always loved white VR's which is strange because generally i think the darker colours suit the lines better.....but there's something about white ones :luvlove:
  17. Ah yes, good old Seaton Sluice. Wonderful on a sunny day. I hope you popped round to Crescent Cafe in Deleval to get the young 'un an ice cream. Spot on there, i guess you're not originally from Surrey then?
  18. Just been a lovely day today so any excuse for a couple of fresh shots.
  19. Can anyone recommend a good alloy wheel refurbishment company in the north east that does'nt rip your eyes out price wise? :help: Thanks Andy
  20. Cheers, yeah i'm definately changing the wheels back to standard as soon as i get them refurbed of course. I've managed to fit THE most important mod there is for the rado.... 'aero wipers', honestly don't know how anyone manages without then tbh, this is my 3rd rado & my 3rd set of aero's i've fitted !!I have just bought a 288 brake set up from ' Bigpants' on here, so hopefully it won't be too long until i can stop with a bit more confidence aswell once i get some braided hoses & get it all fitted on:lol:
  21. Looking mighty fine Michael !!! Sunroof open aswell......gotta be good sign
  22. Just ordered myself a 288 brake set up from 'Bigpants' inc carriers, callipers, discos & pads the other day so just wondered if anyone could point me in the right direction for which hoses i'll need to go with the set up & best place to get em ? Cheers Andy
  23. Did she have a peep in the window to see the Flux Capacitor ??? :norty:
