Did you get this sorted? If not a have the full manifold down pipes and cat if any of it helps all good condition from my storm Alex
-
Tom, Do you know if these are from an early or late sun roof?
-
So not a lot has been happening of late but i managed a few hours down the unit last week and have got all the rear lights working now, The welding is done on the manifold, last hose fitted and the coupling made off, coolant added and she is a runner!! To treat myself, I test fitted the new wheels before they go off to Lepsons: Next issue is the temp sensor didnt move and the fans didnt run!! And strip and refit the mechanism of the sunroof - Does anyone have a guide for this?
-
Well that solved that issue then!! thanks guys
-
Forge can also do this, i have just been through the process with them of proofing up from my stock hoses to make a full set up
-
Fronts went on with no issue, but the rears pushed the centres out on the dome top on the hub. Did the same both sides!
-
Hi Ross, Sorry to hijack your post, I have just put a set of comps on a VR and found it has pushed out the centres, did you run spacers on yours?
-
So got some carpet involved in the situation today so thought I would post some updates: This is the back side: This is the front that will be visible from behind the front seats: Once the glue has gone off, I will test fit then get it wired in and running
-
So I know its not a C but the other half has a TT and needed so stereo sorting so... First off, the rear seats had to go, in went some sound deadening Made up a base platform to build up from Test position for the amps, was hoping to get the sub to sit in its existing box but it is not going to clear Came to the conclusion to that needed to go total custom build so started cutting and joining I have also put a set of 6.5" Focal in the rear door cards, i didn't get any pics of that as it was a massive twat of a job and i just wanted it over and done with. Would have made more progress but had to spend some time at the other end doing this Box will be finished tomorrow so get carpet started

The plate lights are new and the cabling for that is also new so should not be that. I do think it is probably a broken cable, i was just rather hoping it would not be. I will also need to check all the fuses whilst im at it

Anyone know if Borbet A's at 16" will clear Audi TT 312 calipers on a VR? or will i need to go to 17"? -
Its been some time since I have spent any time with the C so I did a bit over xmas and had it on charge and went to do a bit this evening and have come up with the following issues with the rear lights and wondering if anyone has had similar or can advise: 1) I have crystal InPro rears that have different lamp holders that run different lamps does anyone have these and have any idea what type I need? They are the ones with the offset pins on the bayonet . 2) with the ignition on, but not running, the inner tail lights (on the boot lid) don't work but the fogs and the number plate lights do, I assume these are all connected within the tailgate and operate without the need for the outer sets to be functioning? 3) the plate lights go off and on when opening and closing the boot! I have checked the flex sections where the boot joins the body as well as all the connections i can get to inside the tailgate but cant find anything lose. 4) Does anyone have a pin out drawing for the connectors inside the boot that go to the light clusters? The InPro lights just use spade fittings that push into the factory connector so I need to know what is what if any one can advise that would be a huge help Thanks

First start up reconned VR6 that's beentored for a year

Mine was out for a bit more than a year. I hand cranked it a lot to ensure it was all smooth and free and nothing striking. I then put everything together removing the HT leads and cranked it over to circulate oil etc also squeezing the coolant pipes to ensure circulation. Once it all sounded good, I reconnected the HTs and fired it up. Also I have only put cheap oil and filter in and intend to run for a few hours then drop it and replace with good oil. Just my views but hope it helps -
LOL, Typical!! Thanks for letting me know though

If you still have it, i'm interested in the full tilt slide sun roof mech if its intact? Also the headliner backing if its intact and not snapped Thanks Alex -
Good offer fella but they are all packaged up now ready for the new ones being exchanged tomorrow. To be fair, I have built the car as a cruiser not a racer or a show pony and will be used for road trips so smaller wheels bight not be the worse idea of all time
-
Hmmmmm, just had a look at yours. Mine do look deeper, even the other half thinks so, so it must be true. The guy i got them from is going to replace the buckled 9s with another pair of 7.5s so I am going to run 7.5 all round for now and when i have the bloody car running then i will look at wheels again i think
-
Swiftkid they are 16x9 with an et of 15. They do look very deep, I dont know if this is because of the polish or if the Remotec are a slightly different fitment? I must have had 2" poke without the adapters fitted and no rubber and with the stretched arches.
-
Hi All, I asked a similar question some time back: http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?90697-9-quot-Rears&highlight=Grrrrallye But I now have a staggered set of Remotec/Borbet A with 9" for the rear: I have offered these up, as i need to return the buckled rear and the 9s appear to be massively wide before i even add the spacer. My arches have been pulled and extended a bit but these things stick out a long way. Is this because the VR has a wider track? I see others running 9s on the back and they look flush to arch but what I'm seeing here will need lots MORE work to the arches. Can anyone shed any light please as i have the chance to exchange the buckled rears for either 9s or 7.5s
