Sorry to see you've only found the forum when you're thinking of selling :( I agree with the rest though... sell it and it sounds like you'll end up regretting it. You wouldn't be the first! If you did sell, what sort of thing would you buy? Yep, there are a few of us kicking around here :) Well... someone had to say it!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Sounds like another one is about to receive some attention - always good to read! Sorry I can't provide any help but just wanted to say welcome to the friendliest forum you'll find :) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I've found that valet pro bilberry and meguiars wheel brightener are pretty decent but I'm not sure if you can buy them in anything less than 5ltr bottles Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Silicon Hose kits for VR6 from Roose Motorsport

Yes, I keep reading this thread too and wondering whether now is the right moment to make a purchase... -
Coming along very nicely! Rear lights are smashing :) As Oz said, lovely to see a blackberry getting such tlc. Your thread is making me want to paint mine sooner than I can afford to though  I had to laugh at your comment about not being used to seeing it without the lacquer peel - that is exactly how I've been feeling about mine now that the bonnet has been replaced! Thanks for your nice comments on my thread as well.

I was just checking the oil and water on mine when my neighbour came back from a run. I know he's into cars anyway (he has an exceptionally rare Ginetta which he's completely restoring and rebuilding in time to race next season) but I'm so chuffed that not only has he noticed the bonnet replacement, but that he bothered to come over to congratulate me on it. He's looked around the exterior before but he said he'd never seen the interior of a Corrado and he commented on what good condititon it's in and how good the seats look. He then went on to praise the wheels and finished off by remarking 'isn't it great to have a car that you're so proud of?'... I couldn't agree more :D
-
yeah, I have a trade card too and it's a very useful thing to have. I saved over £30 on a battery the other day :)

Wow, no messing around! Always great reading posts about work like that. Welcome to Corrado ownership :) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Great thread - thoroughly enjoyed reading it :) Headlining work is incredible! I really must get mine cleaned properly at some point. Lovely car and looking fwd to reading about the paintwork progress. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Of course I don't mind, Laura - it would be great to have you there! :) I'll try to remember to drop you a pm a few days before the next meet. Thanks for the compliment too :) Progress is slow but I'm gradually getting there, and I'm over the moon with what has been done recently. Long may it continue! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I agree with Wendy - even more so given your last post. If the C is the positive, put all your energy into that. The progress that you make will give you something to feel good about, plus give you more excuses to go for a drive and make you smile :) Post your progress on here, and I'm sure you'll receive lots of encouragement too! I'm agreeing with Wendy again... definitely get yourself to some local meets. Show season is so so close now, so how about giving yourself some targets like getting something or other fixed or smartened up before a particular show to help you keep your focus? I know it's much easier said than done, but going to some meets and making new friends will be a fresh start and give you a break from it all. Good luck :)
-
Very sorry to read about all this. What a crap time :( As the others have said, keep fighting and hope you find a way through all this soon. Chin up, and focus on the C
-
in that case, Bill, could I leave the Hazet tool? I only wanted it for the OEM look really! I'll def still have the aerial and the plinth though please. PM on it's way...
-
Thanks Ollie :) Think the meets are going to be on Thursday nights again instead of Sundays, now that the days are getting longer and the show season is round the corner. It's usually on the last Thurs/Sun of each month, so I expect the next meet will be on 29th March and it's held at The Longbridge Mill on the A33. Kip, no that isn't what I mean, although I have a feeling that may be missing too, so thanks for the info! I thought there should be a piece which secures the base of the slam panel? I'm sure that Graham said there is a part missing which runs horizontally, parallel to the bumper and helps tighten the front end up? It's very likely that I misunderstood what Graham was telling me though, and what you have mentioned is exactly what I need!

Lovely pics from last summer! I recognise the calendar one... :) Boot chair is brilliant too - I def need one for this summer! -
interesting selection of part, Bill! Knowing you, these will all be in vgc so, please may I take... Rear number plate plinth all tabs intact £25 Hazet plug lead removal tool £15 (is this the part which attaches to the bonnet prop?) New genuine 2 wire ariel and base £40 (assuming this is what I need for my late VR?) Thanks, Fay
-
Yup, all sounds good Chris :) Drop me a pm with your address and we'll arrange a time for me to collect it. Thanks very much :) Fay Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Oh Kip, that looks so sore! I'm not good with blood anyway but just the photo made me feel a bit faint! Hope you're better soon and that physio goes well :) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Spot on Kip! It will take me ages cos I reckon that would be a good time to clean up round the front of the engine bay too :) Luckily, I've taken the headlights out a number of times so those screws won't be a problem. I do need to buy a part that is missing though. I have no idea what it's called, but it's the bar which holds the base of the slam panel and the bumper together... at least I think that's correct... I just know it's missing! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
