  1. Interesting thread and agree with all comments about cost of ownership, plus there's the emotional cost of driving something dull! Keep the valver and buy a VR as well! :D Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Thanks, thought that might be the case but was hoping that my memory is worse than I think it is! I'd better sign up then - don't want a gap in my Sprinter collection ;-) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. It ends wherever that particular owner wants it to  A few quid here and there for brochures, posters, old magazines with reviews, original first aid kits (all of which I have bought) over the years we own these cars is negligible and for me is part of owning such a car and falls into the same category as displaying a CCGB tax disc holder and a club sticker in the rear window (except that I’ve inadvertently let my membership lapse!). Point taken though and perhaps it’s a little hypocritical of me given that I have non-std stuff, performance/handling as well as cosmetic, but I enjoyed hunting around for the original accessories. I don't think I'd ever have the patience to maintain a concours standard car but I'm glad that some people do (Corrado and otherwise) as they are always a pleasure to see :D edit: it probably just shows that I can't make my mind up which of the other 3 sections I want to fit in!!
  4. Yes, I'm hoping to get a copy too but I really can't remember paying last year so I wouldn't be surprised if I'm not a member at the mo. Will def be signing up for the coming subscription year :) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Brilliant idea! With us all being enthusiasts, items are much less likely to be damaged in transit too 8) If I travelled with work, I'd offer to join in, but sadly I'm just a desk monkey Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Excellent! At this rate, the Corrado will be the most common model there 8) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Good news and I know Graham will do a great job! Cams and remap are on my to do list too (hopefully I won't have to wait too long) so I'll be interested to hear your views once you've stopped driving long enough to post :) edit: why don't you start a thread in the Members' Gallery if you haven't done so already, so you can post all the progress you make :)
  8. Monthly BaD-VAG meet is back to Thursday evenings again, now that the show season and longer days are here! Next meet is Thurs 29th March, 7-10pm at The Longbridge Mill on A33 between Reading and Basingstoke. It's a very friendly meet and I really hope to see some more Corrados there - I'm usually the only one! :( edit: pub website added. Postcode is RG27 0DL
  9. Welcome to CF and (almost!) to Corrado ownership! Hope you're ready to find every possible excuse to go for a drive :)
  10. Good to hear you decided not to sell! Looking good and be interesting to see how the RHs look when you get them back... bet you can't wait! :)
  11. Yes please! :) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. ...and I'm most certainly not, hence why I'll never get further than being tempted! I couldn't bear to part with my VR anyway :) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Nice selection of cars 8) C looks very tidy indeed and the S2 is cool! I've been tempted to look into these more but my C puts paid to enough of my salary without thinking about buying anything else. Happy Corrado-ing! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Like Bill, I read this yesterday but was so cross that I decided not to post then. Lack of respect for other people's property is guaranteed to wind me up every time. That coupled with a lack of responsibility for their actions leaves me absolutely fuming. Really hope you get all this sorted and that you don't end up out of pocket. Good luck Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Despite DG being a 200+ mile round trip for me, I always take my C there. Great service and workmanship, and I've received lots of good advice over the last couple of years too. I've never thought about taking my C anywhere else since first going there. As Jim says you're ideally located for them or Stealth. That's my only complaint - they're not close enough to me!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. No wonder you're happy! C looks beautiful! :) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Spent too much of my bonus! I've bought quite a few bits and pieces over the last week and I can't wait for everything to arrive so I can make some improvements! :D Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Thanks for the heads up :) Haven't received an issue recently so guess I'll be getting mine soon Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Thanks Kip, I think they're awesome too! Really must stop spending my bonus now though - I don't even get it for another couple of weeks lol :D Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Argh... was trying to resist but I can't! Put me down for a set of the gauges too please Neil :) I've left a message on your voicemail to pay, so please call whenever is convenient. Thanks, Fay Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. I think they are volts and oil pressure but can't remember the 3rd... oil temp maybe? edit: just realised there isn't a 3rd... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Hi Neil, please may I have a rear number plate light cover and a rear VR6 badge. Perhaps a bit cheeky to ask, but if there's an advance list for the next batch of rear number plate light units, then I'd like my name added please :) I'll call later to pay. Thanks for organising :) Fay Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. No idea whether it was valid in the US but there was a limited number and they were all used within a few hours anyway Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Many thanks to A1 VR6 for the aerial and rear number plate plinth. Very well packaged and kept me informed every step of the way! Thanks again Bill. Very happy with the parts and can't wait to get them on the car :) Fay Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
