And get on the mazda 6 owners website and talk how boring them cars are and how much miles per gallon you can get!
-
yeah yeah enjoy your hatch then and ill enjoy the super coupe!
-
Nice 8) 8)
-
Surely the golf and corrado cant be the same item as ones got banjo fittings (golf) and the corrado hasnt! Best place to get them is GSF!
-
they are the same length as the corrado ones so dont see why they wouldnt fit! But if you do go goodridge make sure you do get the golf vr6 late ones as they are banjo fit from flexi to caliper!
-
wouldnt know if they would take 312's mate someone should though! Yeah from a late golf vr6 1996-98 i think as before that they were 280's!
-
If you want to run the standard 15" alloys then 288mm are your only choice as 312mm would be too big! Just done the 288mm on mine and so much better than standard!
-
yeah mate a long time till it gets to the standard of your storm tho yours is looking immense and the idea to put the storm badge on the schrik genius!
-
On my list mate after the chains etc! :D
-
Just thought id put up a picture with the 288mm installed went to pay for the car park ticket and walking back and thought how mint does she look ive done a good job lol!
-
this site helped me alot with the bumber removal etc! http://www.corrado-club.ca/
-
ive done it mate pretty self explanitry really whole front end is the best way to get it out! Only thing that is a pain is screws rounding off and im not the most mechanically minded!! give it a go i say!
-
All sorted now wheel is almost perfectly circular never going to be 100% but it aint far off!
-
nah thats the difference between mine and yours but its probably blowing fuses cos the motor is blocked up and overloading theres a thread sumwhere on how to clean it up do a search!
-
My does the same in stages then some times it works properly it probably needs taking apart and cleaning fella!
-
Looks in great condition for an F reg!
-
Heres me left holding the baby(Not mine i may add). one in serious mode after a stressfull day and under the car!
-
yeah and can only get better as i get past the wearing in stage! Instead of braking half a mile before a junction you can leave it a bit later lol! Yeah might drop it off at that place in stockport tomorrow they emailed me back with the opening times so might drop it off later on in the day and then hopefully get the storm back to what it was and from now on only drive fast on the motorways and drive slow on minor roads the potholes in this country are a mess when is someone going to sort them out stresses me out! What the hell do we pay road tax for so they can put up more cameras! Anyway rant over will let you know mate and when you do get round to the 288s be very careful not to round the bolt that connects the flexi hose to the solid brakeline under the arch!
-
Just sorted the 288mm conversion on my car and they are soooo much better than the 280s! Just gotta get the alloy sorted now! Gonna take it to this place in stockport and see what they say hopefully they can sort it otherwise im gonna have to either get the solitudes that are in dyer need of a refurb or get some new alloys! http://www.diamond-wheels.net/index.htm You need any pointers on your 288mm brakes give either me a shout or goldie whos posted on this topic!

Right its definately down to a pothole check the picture! Anyone ever used a wheel straightening service ??
-

-
Can a rim leak on an alloy wheel be fixed by a refurber? Its not the tyre its the actual alloy itself its like ive hit a kerb or something like that and has caused a nasty dent on the inside rim of the alloy causing kwickfit to say they cant fit a tyre to it ?? cheers Jon
-
cheers mate will just have to measure with a piece of string he said they add on a couple of inches anyway to make sure cant wait till these are on!
-
Right sorted a place to make my new solid brake lines up but are the ends (unions) that connect to the abs pump and the flexi hose both male connections or female ?? And with me being lazy does anyone know what lengh the solid brake lines are for the drivers side and the passenger side ?? Cheers
