apparently the water circulates in the matrix regardless of the lever being on hot or cold. so this flap controls the heat to the car. how does it do it? A picture will be a great help.

Hi Anyone got a picture of the flap in the heater that moves when you slide the hot and cold lever. Cheers. :)

Hi According to the passat diagram, it should go via the headlamp looms to pin 1 of A2 yellow connector on the fuse box.

Hi Thanks for the reply. So 465 included labour as well. It is always a difficult decision spending money on cars. Change the oil regularly and you will enjoy your corrado for years. -

Hi Happy that you have got your car back. It is a lot of money for parts. How much did they charge you for the "air meter". By the way, what is the mileage on your car and do you have good service history. -
Hi I think it was an airlock. Also, have you removed the bypass valve or put a new one on. Apparently they dont last long.

Hi The sensor has a spade connector. It is on the left front end of the rocker cover.

Hi Look at the top of the starter motor. Do you see a sort of cuboid connector sitting on top of it. On mine there is a wire from there to the alternator.

Hi Do not panic. It is easy to fix. Remove the bottom shroud. Move the locking lever and hold in that position. A shiny pin will be sticking out on the right of the column. Just push the pin back into place. Let me know how you get on.

Hi Disconnect the electrical connector to the MAF and spray Maplins switch cleaner to both ends. Allow to dry. Reconnect. Worth a try.

Hi It could be many things. Can you put up a picture of the top of the starter. Make sure the picture shows the wires going up to it.

Hi The run-on circuit bypasses the rad switch.

Hi Sometimes a new battery can be faulty. Secondly, check that the boot light is definitely going off.

Thanx. It is a flat washer with the inner circle having a rubbery feel. My local autobits shop had one. Cheers.

Hi The bolt on the fuel filter had one of these. GSF had a real value MANN filter but no such washer. Any one come across these? Do places like Halfords sell them? Ta very much.
