That bloke needs to be reported to the National Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Corrados. Why do people think that putting a load of fake aluminium crap in the interior makes a car look classier? And I just don't get the bad boy bonnet thing either. :(

Well at a wild guess I'd say your MAF is not working properly. iirc they will run with it unplugged, albeit roughly like you describe. You seem to have replaced everything except what seems to be giving you trouble so have you tried another maf? There's got to be a second hand one on here somewhere in a breaking thread to avoid you paying full whack for a new one. What would you solder a switch in for? VW designed it to work with all those components so bypassing the problem is like cutting your hand off to stop your finger bleeding. It may stop it, but you won't have full functionality.

That is a truly brilliant film and well deserving of full marks. Loaded Weapon 1 (spoof) 8/10. Love that movie, so damn funny. Tim Curry, Samuel Jackson and Emilio Estevez are all on top form. If you like films like Airplane, Hot Shots and the Naked Gun then you have to watch it.

afaik no-one produces one for the Corrado anymore. Audioscape used to and they sometimes pop up on here second hand but are always snapped up quickly. I guess the only solution is to either make one yourself or go to a decent ICE shop and get them to build you one. Or you could buy one of these without the flap and then cut a hole in it. Not sure how strong or deep they are though

Looking forward to the vids and more pics too. 8) I'd be up for another trip, I only did one lap last time, but as it was the 20th anniversary meet I spent most of my time looking at about 500 Corrados so that was cool by me. Just a shame my ibs was playing silly buggers with all that foreign food. :( Can't wait till the 25th meet in a few years (2013?) My ABS doesn't work and I locked up once but only for a split second as I crested a dip before a corner. I also almost went off in Adenauer forest too where you see everyone having trouble on YouTube. Waiting for the track to open....

Nice! But you guys should get some round euro lights on there, I can't stand those square headlights the US got.

I reckon if it is as minty fresh as you say, then £5-6k. This is all dependent on the service history and what you have had replaced, but maybe to the right person looking for a low mileage investment, then it would be worth a bit more.

For some inexplicable reason my right foot always gets really heavy once I've gotten into the C.

What have you spent your £1000's in bonuses on? There's bankers and theres Bankers. There's a difference between 1000's of workers getting £500 (for jumping through the hoops they have been told to jump through when they are also told they should look to the whole picture of renumeration and not just the annual salary) and 500 workers getting £1000's, £10,000's, £100,000's I blame the media. Who's going to admit to working in that??? I bought a Porsche with mine. Yeah right... No bonuses for us, not even a payrise. Pay frozen last year, this year, next year. It really gets my goat when you read in the media that bankers are back getting their bonuses and that other unions (such as the tram drivers in Croydon) strike because they didn't get their full 3% rise and turn around and say "well if the bankers can get it, why can't we?" Grrrrr. Like you say Judith, it is the tiniest of minorities who get those bonuses, yet thousands of normal office workers like you and me are still being shafted. But of course, the media doesn't care about that, they just care about Goldman Sachs who are setup to make shedloads of money anyway because that's the type of business they run.

Yup, unfortunately as soon as you say you work for a bank people assume you're an arrogant tosspot who gets paid millions and makes irresponsible decisions with other people's money. :brickwall: Yes, I am personally responsible for the banking crisis.

and just like that the thread is up and running again! I work for a bank. No, I do not get huge bonuses and a massive paycheck, I work in retail banking. I'm hoping for redundancy because the bank is fecked, and if that doesn't happen my pay is frozen till at least Dec 2011. Fekkin sh*tehawks. (that may give you a clue as to what country my bank is based in) :(

Fear of the Dark is a pretty good song and goes down a storm live, but its more a crowd participation tune. There are better tunes out there, Hallowed be thy name, Sanctuary, Powerslave, the Trooper, etc... to name but a few. I also listen to many genres of music, I mostly listen to black and death metal, but am not adverse to cranking on some psytrance, blues, old skool hip hop and even classical if I want. I even know all the words to Baby Got Back by Sir Mixalot! Its my karaoke special :) Loving this song at the moment too. [youtube:6y5h33j2]Zk0ROmJ4UY8[/youtube:6y5h33j2]

Now you're talking, Maiden rule! Fave song - Phantom of the Opera. No contest. Best album is a tossup between Seventh Son and Powerslave. My metal collection is a lot heavier but some excellent bands there. I've seen 4 of them in concert.
