Bloody Ferrari. Rob Smedley was smiling so much as he knew he had to be economical with the truth. He looked like a guilty schoolboy. Has anyone else noticed that Jake Humphrey has a lot of little digs at Eddie Jordan?

I'll eat my humble pie too, but I must admit it does look like there is a lump missing at the top.

On tonights show... Hammond drives a Toerag against some snowmobilers; May does another Bugatti high speed run, this time in the supersport; and Clarkson takes a look back at Ayrton Senna who would have turned 50 this year. I wonder how many inches of heel Tom Cruise will be wearing?

I got some anthracite TH Monos sitting around if you're interested. Make your car look like this....

watched Airplane last night. 10/10...arguably the best comedy ever written. If you don't like one of the jokes, don't worry, there'll be another one along in 5 seconds. Have got the clearance Clarence?
-
Thanks bro... I think im not going to bother as the system on the vr at the mo just purs along, realy nice and quiet!! I might look for a sports cat later on though. Guys, 6 branch mani's, any good or same as decat; ie pointless lol. Is it worth taking the stock manifold off and wrapping it to contain the heat? Pretty pointless unless you go supercharged imo. You thought about a BMC?

Easy chaps, his car is already at the garage, its not like he's booking it in to get the plastics taken off.... you're a bunch of funny guys tho  Abdul I think you should keep the spark leads plastic, it holds them in and they'll look messy otherwise as you'd probably have to ziptie them together or something equally cack! But get shot of that dohc cover sharpish.
-
Nice one Abdul, you won't regret the decision! I suppose its a good thing you have the problem straight away, now you can get on with enjoying the car. I'd also be up for a London mini-meet.

Will different power filters give different sounds in the VR
The_Dude replied to Mawrick's topic in Engine Bay
No, thank you for answering so quickly! Its actually been bugging me for quite a while. I can now go to sleep a happy man, I'm drunk and my head is writing cheques my body can't cash. mav4.jpg[/attachment:1pp4ynhp] sorry, but you must have realised you couldn't get away with that name. i'm sure you've heard the comparison a million times before but here's one more. -

Off topic but I've been wondering...is your user name pronounced as its written in English, or is the 'w' hard, making it Mavrick (maverick)? -
That post kicks arse. :salute:

no, but it comes with some cold air ducting pipe. i didn't bother using it, i figured that as soon as you start moving the colder outside air will be forced into the engine bay as normal. k&n will deffo change the sound for a cheap alternative, which is probably why your passat sounds better. you could always just swap the filter over from the passat. -

a BMC has a nice throaty induction sound. bit pricey though. -
give us a clue then  VR6's posts have been cracking me up recently.
-
Woah! Thats utterly mullered... Any sign of the missing bits or do you think it was put in like that by the PO?
-
If you listen closely its actually "c*ck fags" still, its an awesome film and fully deserving of the 10 points.

The A-Team 8/10 Good and enjoyable action film which is way better than the tv series. Don't expect anything special in the way of plot (framed for a crime they did not commit) but definitely worth a watch.

I really enjoyed it too, but also felt it was quite rehashed from a few other shows. You obviously can't help but draw a parallel with the caravan episode with the fire and the Alfa ep when he "rolled" his car at the track. It was convenient how they managed to get hold of a crane at such short notice to put the caravan back on its wheels. Of course, if he had been asleep in it at the time, that's a good 20 foot fall and he would have been injured in some way, duff old git that he is. Hammond's effort was awesome. 8) Tom Cruise standing next to Clarkson should be pretty hilarious.

I agree but I think there are several reasons why they do it.... -its not their car or tyres and so they don't care how many pieces it goes back in. in fact Clarkson says that they usually break when they do the 180 spin and burnout from a highish speed. -it makes for better viewing, imagine how boring it would be if they showed the car going round every corner perfectly just under its grip limit. speed is a hard thing to convey on film and if a corner is driven correctly it doesn't look much different at 40 mph or 80 mph. -you don't actually expect to learn anything or it to be done sensibly do you?

Cool, I've just downloaded it onto the ipod and will have a listen on the way to work tomorrow. For all you metal fans out there, Cowboys From Hell by Pantera has been remastered for the 20th anniversary and there's a multitude of extra goodies available. Sweet. RIP Dimebag Darrell. :salute:

I always thought Megasquirt sounded like some kind of porno lube.

I have heard of them before, got a great upbeat remix of Will Smith's Summertime that they did, but oddly enough never checked out their stuff. I liked it so much I even uploaded it to YouTube lol

I know who... Bullfinch, I'm not sure you'd need a pair of muffs, just a good pair of ear plugs (not the crummy conical foam ones). Its loud but not oppressive.
-
Because.... *DRUMS*... Im selling the Venoms  Do it, do it now!

As there's been a few spacey type posts, I've been caning this tune recently, imo the definitive goa psytrance tune. Its such a shame that Si Posford doesn't write under the Hallucinogen name anymore but he's still banging out awesome stuff with Shpongle. The song is Shamanix from the album Twisted and right from the off it builds, evolves and then blows you away at the end. Utter genius. :notworthy: [youtube:kbzo7145]Kn16TZ2H1Fw[/youtube:kbzo7145]
