Excellent, always up for new TG, this one's more in the north of America than last time. The boxing day one looks pretty epic too, driving in Iraq can't be all fun and games. :) I've also been enjoying Top Gear USA a lot, its much better than the Australian and Russian (!) versions. They have Tanner Foust as a presenter, so its already got one up on the others and the guys actually seem to vibe well.

SamG40, intelligence does not equal common sense, as aptly demonstrated here.

Bit of an urban myth that one mate...true, while the energy consumption of electric vehicles is about equivalent to a car doing an average mpg, no one takes into consideration the energy needed to actually get your petrol to the pump in the first place. One this is factored in an electric car is way more efficient. check this out for a decent explanation, at about 02:35 onwards http://fwd.five.tv/fifth-gear/videos/road-tests/nissan-leaf-with-robert-llewellyn

may be a repost, if not what a horrible corrado

It was up for sale a few months ago. I'm amazed no one bought it... -
Dark J-reg with debadged grill parking up in Chestnut Road, West Norwood at about 2.45pm. Would have said hi, but I was on the bus and it was raining! Nice looking motor.

I always enjoyed the Sprinter mag and have thought about submitting a piece. I've got about 1400 words of rambling about the rise and fall of my supercharged VR (no vitriol, I promise!) that I could tidy up into something coherent. What sort of length articles do you like?

PM'd nice one.

Well the guy 3 pages in who got six months in jail did have his kid on the back of a bike in the rain, so he deserves what he gets imo. No way I would ever endanger my (imaginary) son like that. Also it did seem that there were more than a fair share of coppers in that list! Good to see them getting bans too.

Got mine today too. Thanks very much, it arrived as a birthday present to me! Its gonna take pride of place at work on my desk partition. -
So the driver can poo out the back window when things get a bit hairy? Ah, an escape chute.
-
I wouldn't be surprised to find the interior is totally bare, except for the driver's seat, a roll cage and a rev counter. The door mirrors have gone and it looks like the boot is strapped down, rather than use a heavy lock. So lots of weight saving there. Anyone know what the holes in the back screen are for?

I've got EBC reds and they are ok at low speeds, but do have a tendency to squeak sometimes. I don't really cane them hard though, I'm quite a conservative braker as you can only brake as well as the person behind you.

How come? You don't give any of your details to him by bank transfer and don't pay through a third party site that charges commission (and is currently under attack from hacking idiots who think releasing confidential files is a good thing). Send a cheque and you have given your bank details and signature.... -
Human Traffic - really makes you wanna go do pills after seeing it! As for that table scene, they are off their tits in that!
-
Methinks mayhaps they had more of a response than expected and have run out! ;)

Ha! You've got it easy! I have an all day trip. 3 or 4 hours drive dependent on traffic and my right foot, then 4 1/2 hours of train, tube and bus to get home again. I don't even spend that long at work...

Problem is I think they are aiming for the generic mapped chips you see on ebay, but seem to want to apply it to all modded cars, whether it needs a remap or not. There are different ways to change the maps, but they seem to tarnish them all with the same brush. Wangers.

Also check your maf is plugged in properly.

(Pulp fiction & Resevoir Dogs) Yes I am, those films have good pace and action where a lot of things happen in a short space of time, there is a lot of dialogue that advances the plot or backstory. But his more recent offerings do nothing for me, it seems he is trying to add gravitas to the scenes, but I think he tries to hard and they just end up being drawn out for no particular benefit. His characters speak far too slowly and it really annoys me! The problem is that he has so much clout in Hollywood and can generate so much money that no-one wants to tell him he's being over indulgent and needs to cut out 45 mins of silence from his movies.

Inlgorious Basterds... 3/10. Booooooring. Tarantino should go back to fast paced, fast dialogue films like PF and RD. I really don't like his current style of drawn out, pause laden scenes.
