  1. Urban camo it, it would look sick.
  2. Watch Alfie she gets her tits out more  LOL had this debate last night and the only thing we could come up with apart from layer cake was that she was married to jude law. oh wow. :) was a reasonable episode i thought, i like the fact they always pick cars you wouldn't expect for the 1500 quid challenges. i like the specs on it, but not so sure about the styling, it looks a bit cumbersome and wide. there's a fearsomely bodykitted bright orange one i see on my way to work. its horrid. :gag:
  3. Wasn't it in the 2008 calendar as well? Its a nice shot. 8)
  4. if only my budget was a little bigger edit oops wrong car! fixed now
  5. nothing personal dude, i just hate astras with a passion! :D
  6. you should be flogged for suggesting that! where's tom when ya need him? :D i hate vauxhalls, and had two astras before my valver, one being a crummy mk3 gsi. it was super weak. plus that ^^^ is one ugly car. :pukeright: i may bring out the haters now but one of my major reasons is air-con. it does my nut how hot the C gets and the heaters are just poop. yes retro fit a/c, climatronic blah, but i do feel like a change is on the cards.

so what would you need the cash for? holidays? :D
  8. nah its not OT Karl, its good to get stats and opinions plus the 8 series is an amazing looking beast. i've always wanted one, but i'm sure they'd cost a bomb to service. its looking pretty glum tho, not much out there for my budget for the performance i want. You make a really good point about evos Mic, stressed isn't the word, timebomb is more appropriate!
  9. I know what you mean but I just love that V8 rumble they produce :luvlove: I'm used to high running costs so an M5 wouldn't come as too much of a surprise at the pumps and dealer parts desk! The M5 always seemed to be the more mature choice. M3s tend to attract footballers and city bankers, and other assorted gimps who can't drive properly and wouldn't know an M engine from a normal BMW one (present company excluded of course), they just want the image that goes with the badge - i.e. "I've got pots of cash"! AND.... I have to be shallow here and say I can't stand the bag of spanners noises that 3.2 M3 engine makes at low rpms. It sounds awful! For some reason, the V8 in the M5 with the same VANOS units sounds crisp and creamy smooth :D Kev I'm sure I remember you posting something about the VANOS unit needing some big bill replacement at some point in its life?
  10. hmm, may have to try this with mine, it just snaps back with no damping at all! or maybe replace the beggar, i like shiny new things!
  11. I know I'm going to struggle to get a decent replacement for that kind of wonga but I thought I'd pick your brains. I've been thinking about this for a while and keep flip-flopping as to whether I should or not, but the only car I could come up with was an Evo. Also the roads round my way are so bad, its more akin to driving down a rutted country trail than a road in south london. Seriously, its a series of holes and ruts occasionally joined by a small piece of flat tarmac. :mad2: and tbh, most high powered cars will have been ragged somewhat by now, who here can say that they have never raced off the line of gone way beyond the speed limit to test the limits of the car? i know i have. its more about how many bits have been replaced... Not sure I'd go for an M badge, just because I think 'twat' every time I see one! I also had a look at a 5 series before the vr and was soooo disappointed by the whole experience, but that's not to say I wouldn't enjoy an M. Rex7 sounds a goody, I've always liked them. Not so sure about my oversteer reactions tho, they were pretty poor on the track, which is a concern with a big power. anyway, keep em coming, all food for thought.
  12. Hey chaps and chapesses, as above really, I'm thinking of selling up for something a bit more modern or unusual and was wondering what you fellas would do if you had 5k-ish to spend on a car. Its got to be at least 300 horses or something near enough (240bhp per tonne), there's no way I'm taking a step back in power, but doesn't need to be practical as its not a daily however it will live outside. So what you got in mind? (rice is fine! :))

Who the frig is William Wallis?! aka Mel Gibson. :D Freeeeedoooommmmmm! Low down torque my arse, just change down a gear!
  14. you still got the rotrex rob? is it still grenaded? was thinking maybe of a change of charger for the better rotrex.
  15. Mike, also try taking off and putting back on the maf plug to see if it gets worse or better, mine occasionally comes loose (usually after going over speedbumps) and can cause hesitation. easy and only takes 10 seconds. tho the relay thing sounds like a likely culprit too. did the fans work out ok?
  16. I think it looks good, especially with the silver.
  17. I meant the amount of power is savage, but as you say its very smooth in delivery. Lovely car, its a pity turbos don't suit my needs.
  18. Aye. Words just don't do that thing justice... it's an absolute weapon. Yeah, I was seriously impressed with the power delivery, just savage from low revs. Its totally different delivery than my charger.
  19. Is everything all tightened up? I had a loose strut that was creaking.
  20. I've been noticing more Corsas and the like with black wheels around, but the C looks really good with them on so its OK in my book.
  21. Er dude, put The Grand Hotel Eastbourne into Google and have a look at their rates for a wedding reception! In fact have a look at their rates for doing anything! Doesn't matter, its still Eastbourne which is where old people go to die. :D I can think much nicer places to get wed.
  22. http://www.torquevw.com/how_to_guides/corrado_lupo_wipers/corrado_fitting_lupo_wipers.shtml its on there Wendy.
  23. One thing is bugging me. If you can afford his 'n hers Astons as wedding presents, why the hell are you getting married in Eastbourne? They've got to be hired.
