Where abouts you based? I have a 2nd hand one in the loft that I don't need anymore, but due to size and weight would be unwilling to post it.

Followed by an N reg VR from Coulsdon on Saturday morning about 9.45, he went onto the M23 when I went to the M25.

Nice to meet you today, mate- your car is in very good hands! Many thanks to D & G for the fantastic service today :notworthy: I was extremely happy with the work done and especially the care and attention that went with it :salute: Nice to meet you too buddy. Yeah, I was also very impressed when I was there, they are both knowledgeable guys and Dave made me feel very much at ease and managed to diagnose my problem before I left. And the news is initially good! -
I thought it was only G60 or valver, I maybe wrong :brickwall: (most probably am) Think you're right, afaik VW never did a Nugget VR, this is only the second one I have seen and the other was a conversion posted on here. Pity really, yellow Cs look the nuts. :luvlove:

The_Dude replied to joebloggsVR69's topic in General Car Chat
Do you think that if you answered the phone and told them to stop calling you, they just might? :D Bet your insurance is due and they're trying to get you to sign up. -
That looks nice, but a little busy. I would have maybe not had the EU sign at the side and had either just the border or the words....but hey, its not my car!
-
FLUCK ME! I wonder how long it does between rebuilds  About a 1/4 mile i would think!
-

No, not as far as I am aware, just the loom plugs in.

took a minute to realise you meant me there!

Don't watch it for the sake of it, it only gives C4 the impression people still like it, so they'll run another series next year....vote with your controllers people! Channel 5 does american sports after 1am if you need something to fall asleep to.

Yeah, well despite the primer comment, I did actually think it looked really good. Like you said it really brings out the lines in a way the dark metallics don't. 8)

Hey fellas, just a quick Q...I've just a bought a Revotec boost gauge (got discount too by mentioning the Corrado forum) and was just wondering about the mechanical side of it. It comes with a little t-bar thingummy and I'm not sure where it goes...the only pipe I can think of whilst sat at my desk is the one coming off the end of the recirc valve, but that can't be right can it? (VF9'd VR6 in case you didn't know) Any help would be appreciated. Also, I have a tap hole in the pipe that runs from the charger to throttle body, what's the best way of sealing this up? It was for a water pump, but the feed hose has melted where it hung over the exhaust...nice going TuningWerkes...they didn't even get it running...muppets :( :salute:

I said that withing 5 seconds of meeting him at Stonor...not chuffed! :D

My VR rattles all over the place, but the one I can't stand is the door pin/connector inside the card. It drives me bloody mad! But not mad enough to take off the door card and sort it out... :D
-
Yeah, cause half the horsepower would be a really fair race! :brickwall: hence the wink... Just to put it out there, i do miss ragging around in my valver.
-
Or 3rd.... Race ya?
-
But what happens when you floor it at 70 in a valver? Sod all! :D At least the VR has some oomph.
-
Yeah, but the roads round your way don't really allow for big power, they're much more suited to a 16v. If the OP walks to work, then I say buy a VR.
-
Hmm, not sure anyone would swap but you never know. I went from a 1.8 to VR6 and while they are both Corrados, they are a different car. Body and interior differences aside, it really depends where you do most of your driving...if you're going to be around town a lot then stick with the valver or get a G60. But if you use B and A roads and motorways a lot then a VR is the only choice. Around town it feels a lot heavier and will wash out thru tight corners if you really push it...this may have something to do with the increased weight over the front wheels which the car wasn't initially designed for. I'm sure the gearing is longer as well so it doesn't feel as quick off the mark and despite being torquey, it does lack the really low down quick pickup you need for driving in traffic. Get it away from traffic lights and its a dream, whether pushing on along the twisties, overtaking caravans or giving it some welly down the motorway, it won't disappoint. The engine note is quality too, especially with a BMC and aftermarket exhaust. I love my VR :luvlove: Just my rambling 2p, hth.
