i have RCs on my car 7.5x17. 5mm spacers on back (cheers for advise on that darren) ill post a picture tonight if i can get one when i get home. i always find that i take pictures of other peeps cars but not of my own
-
i get this but not when going to third. Check yer engine mount. I get knocking noises when i slow down n go for clutch. can feel it right under my feet. Think my uprated mount has put stresses all back on bushes n now they are shafted
-
looks like scrap to me. can get rid of it for you for a fee
-
i did a 4motion the other day-quite a suprise. std scoobie more or less even. (not many std ones round here) punto 85 16v-smoked him
-
id be interested in WHY a piston cracked too. bad injector timing. boost too much
-
i get bout 57 squid in a tank. says 15 gallons. reck bout 70 litres full. got to inters and back on a tank, 588miles round trip :D
-
would expect same as G60 4 wire connector is for o2 black-signal brown-earth on top of mount 2 others-heater.

laguna must be the obvious one that every car type has tried. maybe not deep enough for the C though. Volvo S40

the calibra is fast n thats about it. My mate had a GSI2000 cavalier n that is a great car. i reckopn itll outhandle a Corrado-touring car underpinnings. nissan 200 is a close one but with no where near the C's class levels-tis a tab bland. old M3 (old, old M3) is another class again. tis better than a C i would have to say.

Funny knocking noise when slowing and lifting off clutch.
GazzaG60 replied to GazzaG60's topic in Engine Bay
yeah i agree the clutch bearing is goosed. clutch seems ok doesn't slip. also picked up a sheild type rattling noise from somewhere. lasts for around 300 revs then goes. pain in the aris sometimes these cars. about a month ago i replaced the front mount with a volks-speed one. proper uprated-i like it. before then there was lots of movement. i think i have two things wrong doing this. 1 bushes 2. clutch bearing. even not in gear i get the feel but i think the clutch feel is another noise/knock mixed in. tis more direct than the bush type noise. think the stiff mount puts all the work back where tis supposed to be-in the bushes n suspension. I run coilovers so stresses are even more on the bushes. was gonna pick some up too at inters. I have a look-make sure its safe, then ill replace the bushes n may even be brave n do a clutch. this box looks harder to get out than the scirocco. -

i know im gonna end up splitting the box to put a clutch in at some. time. just seem sslightly different to a bush. thrust bearing is knackered has been for a bit. get a broken whistle type nois until i toucvh on pedal and take up slack n it goes away. gonna get it on the ramp later or at weekend if another car aint on n have a look -
since inters i think one of the bushes is shafted. think its the front arm bush. i can feel a knock under my feet which is about that area. n when i slow to stop n depress clutch in can feel it through the pedals. What do peeps think. ever had this anyone. my mate has rebuilt subaru gearboxes when the user has reported an almost identical problem. in their case being a bearing in the box. hope it aint that

car is full 2.25/2.5 system no cat. stage 4 charger, induction kit. coilovers, heavy dute front engine mount. ebc turbo groove std pads. nothing special unless there are some PO mods i dont know about. Jabba said it was on a std pulley though i expected a lot from the 4 motion. but as i said it was like a std scooby. sat even until 85ish then i pulled about 3 more cars to 100. lost him thru the bends like you wouldn't believe. a vr pulls about 1 car on me to 100mph from what ive seen. my cars done 113kmiles n feels good. dont know what it boosts at as no gauge yet. im more than happy at the moment. what will it be like with 50 or so more hp.

sorry boys. dint think of the ash. we were up wind too. what can you do what a irish man brings soo much wood and even more beer. the corsa was a easyhire job. not sure if it returned.
-
im sure we must all be aware by now that PD and BBM both offer good products of a similar nature.BBM may be more established but thats not to say that PD dont know what they are doing. is it not better to just state our opinions and take what info we want from that. Im sure we are all interested in optimum flow and what can be gained from others experiences on both sides of the water. Darren has always been helpful and not a sales pitcher n i saw his car at weekend-looks alright to me. Darren- is that a straight samco off the rsr bent of a special tube.

my stdish G60 sees off a 1.8t no probs. raced a 4motion last night n got rid of him too. didn't go over 100 but even so. id say a 4motion would be a really equal race with a std impreza in a straight line
-
pressure is around 60-80psi on startup(cold) will drop to around 15 on tickover and rise to around 60 when foot down. seems to rise fairly proportionate to revs i got a cooler off a mk1. not sure if itll fit yet. needs the thermostat changing for a 80 one too as the std on that is 100 i think. would deffo fit with rsr. not with resonator box though i dot think
-
got EBC turbo groove discs. currently running ate pads. was running green stuff but they kill discs in no time. they retain far too much heat. im gonna try ferodo DS2000 next or brembo 4-pots cash depending

Banana man. you were on the camp werent you next to 2cc. i was the blue G60 behind the fire n blue wood wagon..i mean corsa. gonna have to buy new tent pegs for next camping venture. on sunday morning i locked my keys in my car. stupid alarm!! had to use my northern "emergency entry" skills to get back in. For those who saw n thought it was being stolen. it wasn't.
-
was a good doo. was my first inters n i liked it. met Chris (2CC) on the friday. that was about it. never knew a corsa could carry so much wood either
-
the reading from the gauge is not from the charger its the inlet manifold vacum. the gauge will sit in vac on tickover n until booooooost is introduced

id have boost if you are going for thew sport comp. running a summit AF n quite happy with that. Not only that the vortex uses um mostly so can help with running problems too. The autometer cycle is a bit distracting too.
