id have to say that i think that the induction kit provides better response than the air box. ive tried both.2 types of cone filter against the airbox both this time of year to try n keep the intake temps down and in winter. i do ise a v large heat shield with mine though. much bigger than the jabba one. it goes to bonnet edge at top and front n back n instead of a slot cut in it that allows air filter to fiut in mie has a hole about as big as the tube.

id get a bentley manual. this may be a long post looks likea similar path to mine. to cut a v long story short i fitted a exhaust first removing the cat. it was pig rich. my probe wasn't connected. first things. get a AF gauge. speak to bilal(dubcharged) cross his palm with a paypal for about 32 quid. fit the gauge. you need to see cycle on the guage on anything upto 80% throttle or above. it should take around 30 seconds to start cycle. when you lift off it should read no lights at full throttle after the digi lag you should see 1 bar rich right thru to changing gear. if you dont something is wrong. Id put a new O2 probe in. use a universal from GSF or ECP bout 40 quid. change the blue temp sensor(tis on the water pipe in centre of head.)for good measure and put new o-rings on them too. only cheap. make sure your throttle cable hits the WOT switch and idle switches on the Throttle body and none of them stick. if cables stretched then replace as the operation of both these switches is imperitive to proper operation of the car. put a new knock sensor in. check plugs on regular basis. clean them run hard and check within 5 mins. im told that most of the bits are around a 80k service interval so...tis always worth changing. O2 requires a v good earth. check it aint snapped or damaged. front engine mount is a pain for stretching that. check for movemet there too. when fitting the AF gauge. earth it to the same point as the probe(engine mount at rear.) power it from the ignition live wire(black n yellow i think) and tap into the signal(purple) up the harness away from the heat. remember to shield the wires properly after of the gauge/probe may not work properly.use solder not scotch locks. the beauty of our system is that if the probe or ascosiated bit cause a proble you can unplug the probe and the car will run fine, if a little rich in all areas other than the map. ive been down the long and winding road or at least most of it i think. im waiting for my injectors and then im ready to rock. feel free to commect on what i say above. these are my findings and the more imput to solving G60 gremlins the better. i must at this point plug Sam of SNS fame for his help. top chap.

should be ok. i will be anyway. always have agood butchers at CCGB. a C is a C. i remember years ago a guy said to me "every cossie has a story" think that rings true with the Corrado too. i like tatton show. gives a good spread of the full VW thing some audi n porker too. class brick-a-brack. Im gonna take the digi cam. cross the bridges from there. just need to photoshop a banner in there with us all too
-
right. CCGB is established at VWNW so gets a good spot usually. together would be great. but i cant see that. hope julieanne or whoever it is that sorts the clubs out puts us together.
-
no problem mate. i will. i ve meant to join for ages. not got round to it. kinda hoping people will give us a break. expect some on the forum know the CCGB history/conflict. not been a member but sounds like theres some political issues need ironing out. Whens this CCGB thingy. are non members welcome. are you going. im thinking bout joining the convoy down if i get the new water pump in in time. one of the things that my scooby friens say is how friendly and welcoming people in the VW scene are compared with their lot(please no comments only opinions of mates)

im saying we are a smaller less organised venture. ive seen the CCGB stand with banners before..about 5 times at tatton thats why i say it. I use words like usually-meaning not always and maybe meaning possibly. i also said i should join heres the quote you copied read it again GazzaG60 wrote: yeh CCGB are always there. only usually have about 4 or 5 cars with um so we'll maybe be a bigger, if less organised venture. We aren't even all corrados which may annoy them but we all enjoy n thats what counts. Im not even a CCGB member. bout time i joined really.

i sent passes to (i think) slotmachine (2) 16 valver jim corrado Joby im meeting CaiosG60 PWR Henny( if car is ok) Lee (my mate Golf 16v) i got one more ticket left to make us a group of 10 i usually use rosthene lane to get in as thats my side of things. the petrol station is near the top of mereside rd at the juction with the other rds. If you like i can meet where the arrow is on your map. not been in that way before. always thought the signs pointed back to rosthene lane

my mate has done a few. issues start if thers a problem during or after the job. sending it off to a rebuilder gives you that cushion. suppose it depends on what pulley you use as i dont think that rebuilders will warrant a 65mm. in which case a home rebuild is just as feasable.

yeh. if your coming from the m6. come off J19. take manchester turning and follow it round. tis a right turn at the round a bout coming from m6 south there a total station on your left, straight on thru lights past mere golf club on right petrol station is on right just before next set of lights. bout 4 miles from J19

setting the mix requires a tester like MOT stations have or a portable version. makes sure the filter in the tester is good too. you have to let the car warm up. unplug blue temp re 3 times set mix on Co-pot an rev 3 times and plug blue back in. i adjucted mine. tis a tad tricky as when you plug blue back in probe takes over and sets as it pleases. RR tune up i think for me. ive tried the stuff n no joy so im gonna take it ti the rollers.

oh yeah. the site says entry between 7 and 10. not sure what its like to get in after 10 as im there before 9 so... but i expect thats a rule of thumb with discression

hi guys. all passes are going out at lunch today. tis all sorted all eight (maybe 9 if my mate is coming in his golf) of us. there are two meeting points that have been raised. the lay-by and the perol station. Petrol station area is probly the best place to stop. so i say we meet at the petrol station at 8:30 if you guys prefer we can go straight into the place and meet on the pitches. im open to any suggestions really.

from what i can gather it all depends on what belt type you use. Mine squeaks when its wet. my mates when his is dry. the VW ones dont do. ON the G60 the two tensioner pulleys for the charger/alt/ belt can wear and stick. if its the cambelt tensioer id worry. pop off the top cover with the clips and look at the belt. a worn tensioner makes a groove in the middle of the belt

yeh sure cant see why a seat wouldn't be ok. we got a golf with us too. ill send the passes first thing tomorrow so should be with you for thurs/fri i will mail julieanne tomorrow and ask for extra space. they allow up to 10 i believe.

think we will be banner-less as i dont have the time to make one. Joby-PM me your address. you only pay when you get there-normal admission applies. the pass gets you in the main site instead of carpark. where we will be places is anybodies guess.

yeh CCGB are always there. only usually have about 4 or 5 cars with um so we'll maybe be a bigger, if less organised venture. We aren't even all corrados which may annoy them but we all enjoy n thats what counts. Im not even a CCGB member. bout time i joined really.

i got water pump problems too but dont think i can fit the new one before tatton. just have to top up the water after every run. my mobile is 07740930453 call or pm (before friday for PM) me if you need more info or need me to send passes or to find the meeting point on the day at half 8 ish. i think around mere golf club or in the layby or petrol station at the lights in between. http://www.streetmap.co.uk/newmap.srf?x ... search.srf heres the link to streetmap of tatton park(arrow) where it says A5034 is where the etrol station is.

buy a big adjustable spanner bout 32mm i think and get motivated. saves loads @ 4 oil changes per year oil + filter =£30 *4=120 spanner=£10 =130 versus 236 at the cheap place. and at least you know its been done properly too

if the cable sticks and doesn't make contact with the idle switch or WOT switch then replace it. a old cable loses its lubricant and starts to stcik when it has stretched. look at the cable on throttle body for stretch.
-
sorry guys. not payday yet so i cant afford to get stickers up front or i would have, yes room for slotmachine too. that makes seven of us so far. I have the passes. ill post to who needs um but it may be best to meet up on the day before hand. i plan to be in for 9 so i can look for a bargain so if you cant get there till later ill send the passes to you. ill check bacj tomorrow when im sober.

had the car around 2.5 yrs. I had a set of 5 spoke 17" before but kept cracking rims(2 in total) so went for BBS RC. had um around 6 months now they were expensive but worth it. run the std bbs rims in winter though. Still never posted a pic of car on here. may have a look at doing that later. keeps saying that but never do when i get home.
