Its fiddly but can be done in situ. Its tricky trying to get to the bolts but doable but putting the new one in requires forcing it in against the pressure of the plunger.
-
I know what you mean. 9 pages of them on pistonheads. Got to thinking thats a fair percent of corrados still in existance.
-
Mate, looks like a real mess but I saw you sort out the DDI gauges for dom so this should be easy peasy surely. Did you sort out your handbrake issue?
-
If you put them on the car would pull to one side surely  .

Good work but they look like c class wheels polished up and if so they have BIG balloon tires on smaller diameter rims. Still look good dont get me wrong.

If I had to travel any sort of distance regularly Id have a second car. Something I could have a significant crash in and live to tell the tale as we have to share the roads with some complete knoobs. Also something replaceable. That day has yet to turn up though.
-
PMd you new instructions.

Call it a fiver. Just about buys a pint these days.

Found it easy for once. I will send it down to bishops waltham with my folks tomorrow.

Urgent advice needed (petrol filled into a diesel car)
12 DEG BEN replied to DEL VR6's topic in General Car Chat
My old man did it in an audi A2. Audi themselves suggested the second option. -
Easiest way of working on it is removing the airbox and maf, rest one the block and stick your arms round the thing like your cuddling it. There is very little room under the rear of the engine.
-
The rear knock sensor bolts to this hole here and I think I have a spare one kicking around. I will have a look around for it.
-
It looks to be a vr golf. Whats amazing me is the corrado on the stand at the back has the engine and gearbox hanging out the front with no crossmember. It must be the engine Mounts and exhaust holding it in. Not sure thats possible having been cooked.
-
I only see 3 corrados on the plus side. The bent one on the lift is a mk3 golf. Looks like corrados are structurally stronger than golfs. The rados looked the fire dead in the eye and came out still straight!

This ad was great at first but really has started to bug me in a very short space of time. I think its impact will only be effective in the short term. The dog has got really nasty looking teeth though. Thats what hits me when I see it.

Religion, another issue all together. I believe what I see with my own eyes or what can be proven though science and technology. But then people can live there lives how they please, Apart from terrorists and such, who seek to change my views to a religion which they made up. -

I demand they stop using the wheel! :D Everyone should be allowed to live life however they want. The problem comes when people question how others live using there own values. You made noise, His horse poos all over the road causing potential hazards. If he starts questioning your way of life, he should expect the same in return. -

I would have told him calmly that im not phoning the cops on my phone as you dont believe in using modern technology to assist you in your life. Nothing against the horse though.I love them and always slow down. -
Took a while to sort these out but this is how mine are fixed. Backs are done similarly to the wiki guide and the fronts use a T shaped bar construction on the existing mount which is then bolted to the TT subframe rails each side. I want to do the fronts Again using bigger caliber metals for safety reasons. It is very difficult to get the height right as they always seem to sit to high. Then again my are nearly new so the seat bottoms have not sagged like most of the origional seats have.

Sat in a face lifted focus Yesterday. Was mucho impressed. Much better nose. Its big selling point is how it drives of you can look past the badge.

I asked the same question about a year ago. No replies either. Seems that no-one has had it done. Its not going to cost alot in leather. My brother had a clio sport 172 that had a suede like steering wheel. It felt great to use. better grip than leather thats for sure.

It has a gasket there because you cannot use firegum before the cat apparently but as your decat you could use gasket gew. The gew damages the cat. Probably cheeper to just get a gasket.

Lost my keys - whoops, found them in a bad place

Those bar steering locks are no use what so ever. Saw an ex car thief on TV in new zealand take one of them of in about 10 seconds. He didnt attack the lock at all. The big lad went at the steering wheel with a hacksaw and because its designed to give a little in a crash, its not made of tough metal. Bent the wheel rim, slid the lock off, straighted it to drive it. Job done. If your wheel was rubbish, thats what I would suggest.
