The wheels recieved a good reception on Sunday at a local VW meet. I had Kuhmo KU31's fitted in a 205/40, must say I've been really impressed with them. I like the wind deflectors, it means I can have the window open in the morning to stay awake without freezing! Started to assemble the parts for the brake upgrade, going for the 312mm TT brakes having seen Supercharged guide on here, although the horrific whinning noise my gearbox is now making means it might be a new 'box first. I still need to come up and raid your Aladdins cave! I'll have to compile a list of what I need and see what you have!

Sod that, mine always goes in the boot. Can get 2 full sussers (Stumpjumper and a Zesty) in there and all I do is fold the seats down and remove my sub. Would never put them on a rack as I always have to stop at a pub post ride for a massive dinner and ould be too paranoid!

Thats shite dude, good luck getting it fixed and finding the scum who did this

excellent, is there a noticable difference in stopping power?

So are the only 2 mods to shave 3/4mm off the carrier and drill a hole in the splash guard? What hoses are needed for these? custom or off the shelf?

Thought it time for an update as I've spent the last 3 months adjusting to parenthood. Borbets has made way for some new rims. Whilst i love the classic look of the A's they were just so heavy had no clearance for a decent sized brake. Luckily i knew a man who had the perfect set and the result was this: 031120103291.jpg[/attachment:xnh2k6gb] Compomotive CX-r's I'm amazed at how a lighter wheel has transormed the handling. During the cold spell before xmas I tried to use the Corrado as little as possible, as it's a bit of a handful in the dry, let alone ice! It then got parked up on the driveway before xmas and l left :( Was too busy to even wash her. Didnt move again til I Wednesday. I got back from the 'State and realised it was MOT time. Thought I'd just put it in for a fail sheet to see what needed doing. Was shocked when it came back not only having passed, but with no advisories!! Going to give it a good clean over the next couple of days, then get out for some more snaps and hopefully a video or 2.

looking good, any more clues on the final engine set up yet ;) As for the grill, its the black debadged for me, although the colour coded rieger does look pretty good against the in pro's. -
I had a look through mate but didnt see anything. Might be worth giving Jabbasport a call as they built it
-
how much lower do you need to go?

maybe he got it the wrong way round and it's got a d cat

may be a repost, if not what a horrible corrado
Slimg60 replied to KADVR6's topic in General Car Chat
O no, someones done something different to a Corrado. Burn Him  -
Not too bad, Good to see them ripping into Stig. Shooting him was a little harsh though

Hmmm a bit Thunderbirds for me. Have to be called parker to drive something like that.

:shocked!: how the flip did he miss that!

Mine felt shite compaired to my A4 Avant Quattro.

First off take it back to your garage. If that turns up nothing then send the charger off to g Werks who offer a free health check. It shouldnt break after 2000 miles, unless it was thrashed straight after a rebuild and not run in properly.

I have all of Junkies reciepts for his build so I'll have a look through them for any additional info.

I used the TD5 intercooler too. As 20vt said, it fits perfect between the chassis legs and I mounted it so I didnt need to cut the slam panel either. Another popular choice is the Merc Sprinter intercooler.

Unfortunately not. James gets 171 at bruntingthorpe with vr gears more power and less weight. Grumble, I guess this means I need more power and less weight
-
He'd probably taken it out for a good thrashing
-
hmmm thats pretty cool. 16vG60? I wonder if I got the gearing right on mine whether I could hit that?

Graphite's G60 - Project: 8vT - update in first post!
Slimg60 replied to Graphite's topic in Members Gallery
He's changed his hubs to 5x100's. Might want to advoid adapters for offset reasons? Aye, but if his hubs are 5x100, to run 5x112PCD wheels, he will still need to run adapters to fit wheels ? I have a couple of jap-fitment wheels too and they are all have offsets of between ET35 and ET40, so running 5x100 to 5x114.3PCD adapters would be no problem and would avoid any need to weld and redrill wheels at all :) Maybe he's fitted 5x112 hubs instead  -

Thats about right for a remap, remember your creating something fairly unique so it wont be an off the shelf product. I guess the DG guys could remap you too, but I'd budget for a good £4-500 for a map.
