use aqua gleam for the final rinse to a spot free finish these are around £50 from the ultimate finish. I use these on hot days and a leaf blower to remove most water before using a drying towel. You can also use dodo juice time to dry The Quick Detailer Designed To Quick Dry ! Why rely on a generic quick detailer as a drying aid, when you can use one made specifically for the task? Time to Dry is made to make drying your car easier and safer, in three ways: * Lubricates wet panels to minimise scratching from any dirt particles still on the surface * Designed to break down remaining water beads and increase 'sheeting' to help water slide off the car * Contains lime-scale inhibitors to reduce water marks You can even use it as a general purpose quick detail spray, and also dilute it if required. Time To Dry detailer will not remove wax or affect wax's protective properties, although the beading effect will be reduced. A final spray of Red Mist can be applied to reintroduce the beading effect, if required.

Ok started getting the front suspension off today and the wishbones ball joint etc, it was preety dirty ans most the parts i changed about 2 years ago the garage fitted all febi bits and there shot. I also tried the new twinpot calipers to just to see if they fit, they are much bigger than standard and the pads are huge Dave at DG said the pad area are bigger than 288mm. standard g60 pad area = 83.3 sqmm twinpot pad area =97.15 sqmm -

ok a few little updates as ive been to busy thrashing it, all the rear end is on and it it works which is a bonus feels nice and tight. I was asked take one of my customers to newport pagnall to pick his DB9 up as there was a few rattles, i think he had a shock when he got in the bone shaker. I parked outside and i was asked to move round the corner as AstonMartin parking only i told the guy 'this is a classic' he didint look impressed. Had a good look round there were cars from all over the world getting serviced there, including a orange Morgan Aero max. In the restoration section there were a few very nice old classics a db4 in white on a ramp it was pure perfection, you might as well take all the oil out the engine because it will prob never get used. If anyone is interested there after a trainee in the leather upholstery shop. I also attended supercar sunday with a few of my customers cars a black DB9 and the M5. Got a colour sand on a z4 alpina, the guy wants it to look as good as the M5. -
sounds like the body shop not refined the finish :( dependent on what colour and how good the finish you could end up compounding and polishng. i use the 3m range and se polish is very good for hologram removal, but expensive.

Hi Im a stockist of piolti driving shoes i have a pair of black suede protitipos which i have been using for around 6 weeks, they are very comfortable and can wear these all day. The insole can be taken out for a better feel if on a track day and have a roll control heel so you dont get aching heels. Since 1999, Piloti has been dedicated to motorsport and the car culture surrounding racing. Originating from California USA, Piloti’s shoes have become renowned within the racing community for their superb performance in fierce racing conditions and their comfortable, stylish looks on the street. Motorsport is now one of the world’s most popular spectator sports. Coincidentally, it is also one of the fastest growing sports on the planet. Blend this with the increasing desire for performance cars for use on the road and on the track - and you get an entirely new athletic footwear market and category. prices for the protitipos £70 Ingles boot £80 POA for the rest of the range

The rear spoiler and lights don't work either. :( I agree i wanted him just to go for a set of bbx RX2 split rims, but he got the schnitzer alloys at a good price with pzero nero tyres. They had a custom black colour with extra fleck to catch the sun. Ive attached some pics of his Ferrari 360 spider with a 9k custom stereo install to. Depending on the car and the paint finish, superlative Detail starts from £500 any paintwork that needs doing at a extra cost, but all can be done in one go.

 that made me laugh there was a lot of buttons etc but the only one i was interested in was the M button. if you hand block it with 2000 grit paper you may just get away with it other wise 3000 then compound, you will see when you wipe down a panal if there are any high spots still to flat. Use plenty of compound in the mop head to prime it and it keeps the holograms to a minimun. I didnt bother with the gauge there not that good unless you buy one that tells you all 3 sub layers posi tester 200 £1200, i use jaytek racing as my insurance policy. I did burn through a few times on the sill but it was having paint anyway so just lacquered it over. I wanted to do the G60 next, 1500 the whole car then lacquer the lot then 2000,3000 and finish with 4000 grit.

ive managed to fit the tank straps and the rear suspension is attached now to. I also managed to fit the rear beam on my own in the garage, i would not recommened this to anyone get some help its much easier. i had a little struggle getting the bushes lined up due to the powdercoat, i had a mare with the rear brake lines i had to get underneath and undo both of them to attach the fixing bolts the right way round. I attached the rear brake shields and hand brake cables, and also i placed the disc on to see what they looked like. Black and Gold looking good, just ordered new mk4 rears calipers due the comp brake ones fouling on the rear beam. Its got to be ready for brisol VW fest, i cant wait to drive it it been 6 months since it went into the garage, just stay clear of big road side elecrtical boxes. -
Hi Everyone i wanted to share my first superlative detail with you all a 1 owner 15k v10 m5 in black. First off i had to drive it 15miles to the body shop in birmingham so got comfortable placed it in auto mode and slowley drove off. i didnt really like the look of the car to start or the gear box but my god the engine is awesome redline is around 8k and the noise is addictive like a old F1 car. I got onto a dul carrage way and thought i would see what it goes like not stupid it scared me, i put pushed the M button and the HUD came up with the rev counter at eye view going from green to red at 8k. I also changed a settings i put the gear shift to max. i rolled it on 2nd gear from a island and decked it, all i saw was the rev counter on the HUD go red so quick and the noise was ace, i used the stick like a sequensial box tapped it into 3rd then 4th only travelled 1/2 mile and it was shifting as quick in 3rd as the g60 goes in 4th. The car has had the limiter off so with 7 gears could do around 200mph i was never going to do that i was just having fun with 2nd 3rd and 4th gear. Play time over check the slide show and pics to see the results. http://www.slide.com/r/pZsjoa3e4D-2X5unWhhYg81vB1bT4reT?previous_view=mscd_embedded_url&view=original

hi mate i have the reciepts but i just went down and ordered them of etka at the dealers there and then it was a bit eaisier, i had a early rear beam as well different to late cars. -
over 90% of the bolts ive took the g60 were zinc coated and good quality but all new ones from the dealers are cheap and any colour, and look rubbish. i should be going to all types and bristiol volks fest and ill book for BVF. Good to hear about the win in the super class.
