its not a c vr6 badge actually, its bigger and smoother im guessing its off a golf? anthow i prefered the look of it and it is bigger than standard!! problem is wont fit on the bottom slat!!

like the 911 wing mirrors but the bumper..............

i just went with the laquered red effect, i think it looks more oem and gets rid of the nasty orange, the vortex look ok but could look a bit max power - rspecially wen they start to deteriorate

the front eyebrow as far as i remeber came in black unlike the rear spoiler which i actually painted black - its a tough balance, i find too much colour coding combined with the smoothing can turn them into a bit of a blob (a beautiful blob though) I was thinking of painting the eyebrow the other day...... once its back from stealth on the 21st of this month and i get the coilovers on with the new wheels and its scraping the floor i will make a decision on the final body mods - then thats it - im putting her and the check book away for the winter!

thanks for the comments.............i'm in bury st edmunds so just down the road from ipswich. The spoiler is a Rieger one, bought it a few years ago and only fitted it recently, had it sprayed black to break up all that red. The car is now on 15" porsche teledials in gloss black with polished lips. i have coilovers and am gonna slam it next week once its been on the rollers at stealth, its going to be agonisingly low with flared arches - watch this space.

i hope you appreciate the artistic temprement in these pics as i nearly got stuck in the mud and grounded countless times, was supposed to be a calender attempt but it doesent look very seasonal!

just a possibility as i dont know what filter you have but after i fitted my carbonio cold air inlet i now get a lovely whistle followed by a sweet roar!

yep over the years ive tried all of the above, ive even lost the replacement ones a few times, i find anything that is as long as the head unit is deep, 6 inches? - and that fits the slots will release the head unit, theses just abent bit of metal inside that needs pushing in, you did need to release both sides at the same time idealy - files seem to work best!

it doesent get much redder than this - had the lights lacquered in a red too, smoothed badge, seems, towing eye, wiper and number plate blank - more pics to follow when i wash it! mod away red suits smoothing!

please help Ive got 3 wheels in the running 15 x 6 storm spec BBs solitudes in anthracite, 7x16 and 8x16 d90s or 7x15 teledials. my aim is to get the car as low as possible, which shocks - im guessing coilovers - combined with the above wheels will give me the max drop?? I appreciate i need tyres for the teledials, any suggestions of sizes as well as a change for the bbs's?

tell me about it! You may be picky but you have a keen eye, the car had one owner from new fvwsh when i bought it but its a late m plate with an early light switch. I have no idea why, any how its been sticking lately so i have bought a later correct switch from a scrappy for £5, i just havent got round to fitting it yet, i presume its a 10 second job? pop the old switch out, disconnect it, connect the new one and click it in place? why are the easiest and quickest jobs always the last ones to get done?

i put these on a while ago to accomadate a larger install, they sound amazing but wondering if they obviously look non VAG?

wow, thanks guys, been away for the weekend and overwelmed by all the positive replies, i have done tons to the car - im sure ill have the chance to boar you with all the details over the comming months. Any particular requests? i have pics of every stage of all the smoothing bodywork from inside the shop, ice install, engine detailing and the countless changes of wheels. I guess ill have to get myself in gear and take some shiney pics of the state its in currently. In answer to some of the questions the car is based near cambridge and it hasnt been to any shows yet, i have a small arsenal of VAGS (no kids - YET!) and always end up taking something different to the shows as ive had her a while and my new toys get an airing.
