I have a red Rallye here in Dublin but not the reg you are looking for. I have mine around 6/7 years now and as Fender mentioned it did run under the reg of G60 HOT for a while when in UK. It’s a rare SE model (1 of approx 63) sold new off UK forecourt as opposed to European import.

Couple of questions: 1) was it 1992 when VW changed the side protection strips on the Corrado? 2) was it a change in dimensions or texture or both? 3) has anyone close up pics to show the early v late versions? 4) has anyone got a perfect complete set of either for sale? Even a perfect "side" sonthat I can try once more to make up a set? Thanks

Just a small update. Most importantly, I still have the G60 :) Well in fact last year I added another "60" in the form of a VW Rallye (SE UK original) so I guess chargers are firmly embedded in the garage now :) I'm now considering upgrading the head of the engine. Nothing too wild but a nice polish and ported version. Open to any advice on same. I'm also considering a wheel change or rather to go back to its OE BBS wheels or swap onto BBS RSs (16). I guess my only concern is I always think the 15s originally fitted look a little lost under the arches. Lastly, I'm also considering replacing the side bump strips. Struggling to find a really clean set but I think the Red Corrados can look better with the contrasting black strip.

Don't forget there is one other "VR" variant and that was the one fitted to the US VR6 aka SLC.

Anyone got an original one from center console for sale or free lol :)

Hi, can someone tell me what were the correct colour/paint codes and corresponding names for the various "Red" Corrados please? Mine is a 91 G60 so I just want to be 100% correct before I get some bumper work done.
