I had to change mine last year, I brought one for a mk4 golf exactly the same apart from the plug to the corrado's aerial wire, this needs to be swoped over from the old unit. Nothing anyone handy with a soldering iron can't do! I will dig out the paperwork later and get the part numbers.

I dont want to think what my total would be like  I've got more to spend when the engine comes out for a overhaull in the winter, and hopefully a respray at some point next year.

Spotted a green c on a J plate running a turbo, at about 4 down in Port Solent today. Looked and sounded pretty sweet!

Really enjoyed the the latest mag, made for some enjoyable reading. Keep up the good work!

Spotted a Green K plate valver at Broardbridge Heath Tescos petrol station last night about 9:10. Lowered, sitting on some black alloy's, looked smart.

Yes i do agree with you Jim, 25k can buy you alot in terms of second hand cars. 25K will easily get you a 911! forget about the Boxster

Very Nice! I was always in 2 minds about the Scirroco but i think my mind has just been made up, as i love love the look of that one. 25k i a bit pricey for my wallet though :( Maybe in a few years....

Well look like I've found a fault that I didn't even know about :( Another job to do this weekend

Looking very nice! Your going to feel nice and safe in there. Your going to make me feel guilty now I've got your leathers :D I would like to see this in the flesh once it's all done. Keep up the good work!

pulled my interior out today and gave the inside a good valet, All in preperation for my leathers that I'm picking up tomorrow :D Just hoping for good weather tomorrow!

Bottom hose is the return from the rad, if that's not warm even after your fans have cut in then it sounds like the stat is not opening. You can't really hear the fans inside the car with the engine running unless you are outside the car, they do over run once the engine is off if needed.
-
I think you will find that the top hose will always get hot regardles. Not a bad idea to change the stat as a cause for concern. Take into account that the rad fans don't kick in till 110deg anyway, it might be worth just running it up on the spot just to make sure they do kick in.

Such a shame that it has come down to this :( As said, I think standard is the way to go to get it shifted anytime soon. Well good luck with whatever you decide to do. Keep it you know you want to! :D

Mine looks bad, it goes down to the sill. It's all from the previous owner not being carefull with the seat belt. It will all be sorted when I get a respray done. It might be worth looking into getting the stone chip protection film, to stop it happening again.

Have you checked your relays? It could be a relay that is not switching on to the high power side, could answer why your solinoid is not working.

Yep I like it, very original!

I was quoted 85 quid plus discount from the stealers for my VR a couple of months ago, unfortunately they don't do the bushes seperatly anymore, it's the whole arm only. So that can wait till I do my coilies!
-
Well I've had mine up to that speed before (on a private road), it sailed up to there very quickly an was still pulling strong. I know that mine has got the 2.9 ABV lump, can't really rember what the revs it was. Has your engine ever been changed? Possibly got the 2.8 AAA lump?
-
Nice one, cheers mate. I will let everyone know how I get on at the stealers

Does anyone know the Vag part numbers for the late type Oil/Volt dials? My local stealers said that if I can get the part number, that they will try and get one from Germany for me. I have had a look on ETKA and could only find the early ones. If I can get hold of them via my stealers then we could have a potential group buy!

Had a play with the c over the weekend, done a full service, fitted new locking wheel nuts, changed my dash centre section (courtesy of shaung60) replaced a blown bulb in my dials, had 2 new tires fitted, fixed my noisy cat shield and started pulling out my interior as I'm picking up my leathers next weekend! :D Oh and gave it a well deserved polish
