Have you tried unplugging the ISV to see if it still stalls? Same with the MAF, could have a fudged MAF? Also.... maybe a shot in the dark but could it be the lambda? -

Get the VAS out..... yr about to be...... Cant you just a cat from GSF / euro's (if needed) then buy an aftermarket system that will sound better and prob give a couple of horses ?? Max that will cost including cat would be £500 ?? As for fitting i would really advise doing it yourself :) -
Mate of mine has just finnished machining the first batch of the cam slot tools (hint 3) the L shape plate that fits both cams and levels on the head, can get pics and price etc if anyone interested? Also (hint 6) you might need to undo the rockers and put the cam in a vice :)

Agreed its a better noise, but for performance the de-cat is more effective. This is my experience as i have both, just my opinion :)

I have a Grant Motorsport big valve head, very good for the price. I think the heads are the same apart from oil returns etc.... Grant will supply you a head thats correct for your motor anyway. The gains are not massive for the costs involved. you would be better off buying a charger for power gains. Also Grant uses Piper cams in his heads so if you wanted shcrick you would have to arrange this and pay the extra....
