nice one! thats a hell of a lot of work to put in, but the shell looks very straight and clean, if it were mine i'd deffinitely try and hide the intercooler and fit a set of rusty steels, but you have a polo that's probably faster than alot of vr's on here so i'm sure your well chuffedn :D

there must be something wrong with me cos 1 i like the piss stained headlights, and 2 i actually though for a cheap run about just run that into the ground and if you crash it with shit brakes just buy another... cheaper than bothering to put any decent brakes or diesel lump in it! o and if you dont want to keep it and find a mk1 i'll take it off your hands for my lil bro when he passes his test (hard to tell sometimes but that part was serious!)

yeti replied to diamondblack's topic in General Car Chat

yep just scan as many forums as possible save the pages and send them the list, print outs if necessaryt with comments like, this has this, but mine had this and maye include the bills for the parts you have fitted, or adverts for parts, if you havent any receipts i'm sure people on here wouldnt mind scannign a few invoices and sending them through? -
Yeah i sent my details in  so not that special really  As for the charger! Well i got the charger, the brackets and pullies etc should be here either today or if not maybe monday. I have a diverter valve, i have ordered some red top injectors which are on their way from the states, so they might be here next week. I gotta get all the piping still as well so need to ring storm developments or NS racing which i keep bloody forgetting to do!! Then i just need to ring Vince at some point and see what dates he has free for the end of the month to get it mapped so i can work fitting it around that really. Im hoping to get it done for e38, technically i could do it, just depends on whether Vince has any days free to map it and depends on when Karl can come and help me fit it. mate if you need a hand to get it finished i'm only down the road, karl reckons it only takes 3 hours to fit, i'm sure we could do it with karl at the end of the phone if necessary?

the more C's the better dude, if you are coming out of north london pm vwdeviant as he wants to set up a convoy on the way up, as for rumbongo... it's mic's creation (mincy) and i think its best sampled than described... that means you have to come along now  As nikki said almost everyone will have things they want to do to their car, its not a show and shine just a gathering of the forum and a chance to see if we can get more corrado's than polo's  nah what matters is that you enjoy driving your car! we'll see you there then :D
-
rob if your still looking for the silky ask jon or mark if they'd be so kind as to pop to that shop in as its round the corner (maybe) and pick it up at the next mims meet or e38?
-
the weitec ones i have are the same spec on all corrado's, but kw could vary their spring rate, i'd imagine only the fronts as although the vr has a larger tank it wouldnt be any more than about 20kgs extra at the rear, have you tried their site?
-
the front sensors are still available from vw, they are the same part number as used on the mk4 gti's apparently, i just got some last week and apparently gsf are half the price so i'd try them if i were you, my bolts also sheared... an absolute bugger to get out, in the end with the discs off i had to use a chisel and hammer on them to remove the crusty old ones! the vw parts system still has them listed, just look up the year of the corrado, spec the chassis letter and its under braking elecronic components i think, the pic that comes up shows it clearly for a change!... as well as the bolts that you need which helpfully they didnt carry in stock! but it if yu order them they should be there 2 days later
-
Sorry slightly offf topic but i cant remember seeing a red corrado ever in mk, have you just got it? i used to work over there for 3.5 years, granted i havent been to the mk meet for 2 months though! o how did you find taking your corrado up there, i took mine up once when i was seeing a girl up there earlier this year, great roads around the campus (particularly if you leave the main uni campus turn left and go about 2 miles from the uni just efore you get to the posh houses your at a cross roads with the mile long straight  ) but the campus speed bumps are brutal! either way another corrado in mk 8)
-
this is the one, is it the right type??
-
have you got sexy looking brakes cos i saw these in halfords yesterday and liked them but thought unless you have big brakes 17's could look a little big?
-
I like the look of them... go for it! the mrs wont notice for a while and by the time she does it'll be to lae to try and return them  o and if your paints nice and shoney go gloss, if its kind of flat for with the satin if that makes sense
-
Wicked :D it'll be awesome to see the car on those wheels, they should be on for the 24th maybe?? personally mate it depends what look your going for, if yuor keeping ti subtle then no as i think it makes it look very modified but considddering the fact that its yellow with your super bling wheels, go for it and put ur plate down on the splitter :D will removing the door strips damage your paint as i'm tempted to take mine off this weekend and havent planned on getting it resprayed?
-
i payed vw prices last week and the standard rrp is about £40 a side! i should hahve called them
-
i'm with joeyz i always thought you should wash it at least once thoroughly to get hit of the dust grit and grime before you start rubbish the paint... must be a bad idea!
-
if the numbers are the same it'll fit dude :D

o well good for me  speedbumps? erm my C doesnt like them to much, i tend to plan my route around them as its reasonably low, luckily i live in a village so its not too much of an issue! If your only in luton are you gonna bring it up to e38 at the end of the month, its only at overstone near billing so its not far from luton or bedford 8) O and to get back on topic, if you can work out a way to do it, nice 1, i'd certainly feel happier knowing the b*stards would get punished if they tried to have a go :D -
erm i thought you werent taking it back to uni? is the insurance gonna run out before then... how rude! what sort of difference is the charger gonna make to the insurance? make sure you tell them you've uprated the brakes, when i spoke to adrian flux a little while back about turbos and engine transplants it was cheaper specing better brakes or at least the brakes from the car the engine came from :D. good luck though its not fun finding insurance! especially if your 20ish modded group 18 car and technically a student... all the points they're looking for :D

sorry to put a serious head on the dreaming... i'd love to be able to remotely drive my corrado but i live in bedford which to be honest isnt much different to luton, one of the first things i did to my car was to get a good cat 1 alarm fitted my professionals... i regularly park in town and my worry is now door dings and parking scrapes :( you can always get security film fitted to the glass, hey if you have a load to spend you could always flush the doors and boot and make sure they couldnt actually get in anywhere? -
why not post a wanted topic with a view to swop a pair of 7.5's for a pair of 9's... then you both get a good look out of the deal and no money need change hands.... if there is someone with the wheels that is?

its illegal here unfortunately but if you really wanna do it this sort of automotive protection is legal and common in south africa so get searching for inspiration from them, i seem to remember an article years ago talking about flamethrowers under the car... when the door is pulled with the alarm on their shiney nike air max spring bubble 5000 trainers get melted  -
maybe part of the centre tunel trim or under dash as suggested or from the inside of the boot, looks like an access panel cover or maybe a seatbelt cover from the rear door cards... a bit dark now to climb all over the car but have you gone over every panel inside?
-
any clue where in the car its from?
-
hmm that yellow one on ebay, i've been watching but the story doesnt seem too apealing, not run for a years ok but its had a 2k respray yet the front bumper looks to have runs and cracks in it and he took the pics in the wet? tbh i'm not sure with moving house in a month or so i'll have the space now i think i'm gonna get my gti back on the road as i can get 40mpg in that!) my standards? its stonechipped to hell at the front! luckily the metallic black shines well in the sun! is the wheel guy being cooporative or has he not contacted you? :(
