the Ebay ones are fine, if you look around there's some that are a bit more expensive that will work with newer versions of VAGCom. the issue people have with usb is they dont know how to configure the driver for the USB port which in some instances needs the baud rate slowing down. You may need this driver http://www.ftdichip.com/Support/Documents/InstallGuides.htm if you need any help give me a shout.

Easier to assume everything is obsolete now when it comes to Corrado's, just found out G60 power steering belts are now obsolete, as are bonnet cables , brake master cylinders , power steering pumps and many of the other items I've had to replace recently. Interested to know how you get on as looks like one of mine has failed too

Yes Chris still available :) -
So are A & C early and B late ? Either way C will fit :)
-
Sure it's a straight swap ? There's 3 all together A B & C, my car a 92 G60 is fitted with A I got one from a 2ltr 16v and that's a B . A has a block connector and B is like a relay with pins on it. I'd need to see a picture of C

I have 2 chips the SNS stage 5 chip (bought from SNS NOT GWerks) which is stage 4 charger, 68mm pulley and redtops and std fpr the other has G60 Powerchip on it from Jabba was in and engine with 65mm pulley, redtops, stage 4 charger, 3.5bar fpr and a cam. I also have a set of BBM redtops and cam for sale. The sns chip is still inside an ECU, the Jabba chip's not, I'll get some pics across to you after work -
yeah I read that too but it worked with the stereo in, stopped working after trips to the bodyshop, am hoping just a coincidence and its just a module failure - I have a spare

If I reach up under the dash to the right if the spoiler switch I can feel where the wires go from the switch, can unplug the loom but can't get the part out seems to be secured somehow
-
I've seen that thread. I've turned the handle and it moves up and down like it should do. ive checked the fuse thats ok , it just seems like thres no power. I have a spare spoiler control module so gonna try that next but really what I want to know is how is the control module secured to the underside of the dash so I can remove it and secondly where's the VSS located

Hi I'm hoping (but not yet definite)to be back up at JMR around the end of the month on a Saturday for some coilovers. Am happy to post likely to be around £10/15 or can bring up upto you. Pm'd payment details -
Hi my rear spoiler stopped working after a recent trip to the bodyshop. The car went there with a fully working rear spoiler and came back with it only working very occasionally, mostly during a bit of " spirited " driving. I also noticed the rear spoiler could be pulled up by hand which I'm sure it couldn't before. The car went back to the bodyshop to have a US spec tailgate painted & fitted, this time it doesn't work at all (from the manual switch or automatically with speed) and cannot be pulled up by hand. So far I have used the manual handle to make sure it will rise and return ok - it does. Next job it to run + & - direct to the motor to confirm the motor's ok. can anyone tell me how to remove the spoiler control module and where the VSS is on a '92 G60 and how I can test the switch and spoiler control module ? thanks in advance Simon

I use dynamat for sound deadeneing expensive but worth it, really tightens up the sound. The Audioscape door pods do make big difference to the sound quality also, well worth the £100 or so they fetch. I ran normal speakers originally in standard pods, after I upgraded I had someone willing to bet me I had a hidden sub in the front somewhere the sound was so good !! Ill get some pics across as soon as I can but am really busy right now. As far as I can recall the Audioscape sub enclosure is 1.1 cubic ft. If you check out Google images there pics of Corrado's with the sub enclosure, there's door pod pics and theres one pick of the amp rack but you can see a lot of it but you'll get the idea. AS far as the tweeter go, id mount on the doorcard at the top if I didn't have leathers, I was advised against running them in the front of the dash where the oem speaker are because the screen kinda curves up over them creating a bit of a barrier if that makes sense

i run an Alpine headunit, with Kenwood dualmag components in the front doors, my crossovers are in the door too. I'm currently investigating where I can fit my tweeters , am thinking in the triangular blank that covers the mirror fixings as I have leather doorcards and don't want to cut holes. I never run rear speakers, simply no need apart from "filling" the overall sound plus I've never have anyone in the back and wouldn't want to cut my parcel shelf. I have a Focal sub mounted in the nearside rear quarter and an Apline V12 amp in the offside rear quarter, nice neat install retaining full use of the boot and sound awesome. I have used Audioscape doorpods, sub enclosure and amp rack to fit which are pretty expensive but work very very well. They're not made anymore but often come up second hand , in fact i think there's a set of door pods in the classifieds at the moment ! The Sub enclosure and amp rack could very easily be copied if you're a bit handy with MDF and fibreglass
