G60 CS

Ha Ha surely other C's have broken since my last post !! So since the above I couldnt seal up the coolant outlet & ended up having to change the complete engine !! Here's whats happened since : Brake master as well as clutch master cylinder Sunroof repaired CO Pot failed ABS fault microswitch on throttle body repaired rear spoiler failed Windscreen and bonnet replaced to to bonnet catch failure 3 toothed drive belts snapped due to incompetent RAC technician stage 4 charger failed due to incompetent RAC technician solid tensioner replaced due to incompetent RAC technician cambelt tensioner (used in toothed pulley setup) replaced due to incompetent RAC technician aux belt failed and replaced due to incompetent RAC technician water pump and thermostat replaced Powersteering pump failed due to incorrect fluid being used by previous mechanic Bonnet release cable failed due to incompetent bodyshop However cars now in very very good hands and am looking forward to collecting it Friday coming and enjoying the drive home !

If that falls thro I'd be up for the fronts

the one on fleabay is the lower cover i need the top, cheers anyway

no prob the roof strips with the hinge covers are still available by the way although hideously expensive, ill get my car back and fitted up and ill let you know

Hi looking for an upper cambelt cover for a G60 PG engine

I may have a surplus brand new pair, just had my car painted and i think he painted my old hinge covers but i have a brand new set of roof trims with covers Ive yet to fit

Yep get the Goodrich conversion hose C&R, Awesome, Badger etc I used the mk4 carriers and std handbrake cables

Yeah all other dash switches illuminate & sunroof works, forgot to mention electric mirrors don't work either !

Early type headlight switch and early type heated seat switch wanted

The electric window and headlight issue started 3 months after the repaint so fairly sure not related to the bake, I have re seated the headlamp fuses no joy tho

So finally having got my G60 mechanically sound & booked in the body shop in a fortnight to get my US spec tailgate fitted and painted it decides to throw a tantrum with the electrics.................. 1. Electric windows don't work, switches not illuminated. Started to only work when drivers door was open now nothing 2. Spoiler only works automatically rarely and manual switch won't work & is not illuminated. This started after car came back from repaint 3. Headlights only have sidelights and full beam ( have an updated headlight loom with 2 relays) Anything common to these earths, relays etc ? Have checked fuse box for headlight fuses but are ok

Im up for a set , if the relays are Bosch ones, I can get v v good prices on bosch stuff......... now whos got some heat mats .........

Im looking to retro fit heated seats to my G60 corrado anyone got any parts, looms switches, heat mats etc ?

provided everything is removed , sensors , lights etc etc no problem with either MOT or insurance you'll want Mk2 Golf 16v stuff

why not strip the ABS off as most of the Rallye lads do . I went through 18months of ABS woes on my Corrado swapped out just about everything and in teh end turned out teh be teh master cylinder which is obsolete so went to a company called past parts and had both my brake and clutch masters remanufactured

Id be interested in retro fitting heating to my seats pricey tho, head pads, loom switches etc might be better off looking for a set of cloth seats out of a late valver i spose

As they have paint flake and have done approx 6000 miles and New theyre £683, £615 seems a little to high , hows £500 delivered ? Are they just height adjustable ? What other G60 performance parts do you have ? cheers Simon
