Newly tinted rear lights. Bit of a rush job and not the greatest close up but look so much better than the old ones. -
Not too bad me thinks. Bit of a rushed job and Ive yet to us any cutting compound/polish on yet. 100% still orange on the indicators as well.

V.Nice.

A few of my friends do it and the car does get knackered prety quickly. There farm is littered with remnants of past used cars. He currently has an oak Green Mk2 16v sitting outside after the bottom end went pop.
-
for future ref acrylic is ok. Just dont use too much as the lights go a bit "misty" as I found out.
-
Too late. Just done them. Had a few mishaps so aint nothing special but at least there not the horrible orange anymore. I kept the Hella etc as I couldnt be arse sanding them down. Rough and ready just like my car. Pics up tomorrow when I refit.
-
Its not the tint spray I am on about it the clear lacquer that you apply afterwards.
-
so all those people out there with tinted lights cannot remember what lacquer they used :x Acrylic or Cellulose?
-
I am going to attempt the top tailight tinting this weekend and I will be using that Foliatec spray. I was just wondering what lacquer to use as I am sure I read somewhere that the wrong kind will just strip the tint spray off?
-
So its just not us that do this then  Only thing I can see out the window is a plain old car park with an industrial scrap yard behind. No Corrado today as the bike is getting a blast. Unfortunately there aint no honeys here  , just hairy blokes in boiler suits.
-
That is exactly the same as my car except its white. Even the mileage and rust patches are the same. I bought mine fairly cheap for £1500 about 6 months ago and I would say your is at least worth that.
-
Wun off? They do bikes but I am sure I saw a Scirroco in a mag with a manifold they made.

Good. Azev's A's all the way then I think. Or maybe the E's. I know there 17 and have the raised centre cap but here.
-
I like the Azev A's but they must have the flush centre cap. 7 1/2 x 16 would look good. What colour is the car? Do you like bling or normal wheels? I think to many people get hard ons about the Speedlines. There not that good in my opinoin. Keskin Classics. ATS 6 spoke (like Borbet C's). Rondell x-spoke. Detailed Design 90's Schidt Modern Line .........

I only really go on soemtimes for stuff like this as they certainly like tweaking thier motors. I get enough of Amercians at work.

Dont know if some you guys go on VW Vortex but there are some great cars over there. See link for nice metal. Twin turbo rear engined 24v by the looks of one of them and if that green one was an olive drab green it wouls be hard as nails. http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=1607353

I went out to look again after the car had cooled down and started the car. Again the same noise started but a mate whos a v.good mechanic told me to try and spray a little WD40 on the belt outer surface. I shit you not the noise instantly dissapeared  . I will go out at lunch for a run and see if it is still like that. It seems to be the same set up as my old Mk2 8v and I checked the pulleys quickly last night. Better not be expensive as front brakes are needing done as well as a service.
-
I have had this rattling intermitent noise from the cambelt end of my car for about 4 months but it only used to appear when it was wet. I sprayed some chain lub into the pulley's which appeared to get rid of the noise. It varies with engine speed but used to go away when the car was warm. It started to do it all the time now so I had a look lat night and the power steering belt appeared fairly loose. I tightened it (assuming the bolt direclty underneath is for adjustment) and this morning (whilst cold was compltely dry) the car made the same noise, if not worse all the way into work (40min journey). Does this sound like power steering or water pump bearings packing in?
-
Yep Ive got them.
-
I have to admit I miss mine as well.

Just failed my MOT and have 3 days to renew my road tax....

Pipes themselves are cheap but its mostly labour intensive work. Not sure but it should take at least a morning. -
Its the same one as the Mk2 Golf 16v. Most folk just use a K&N.
-
Feck paying £85 for that then. I just cut mine off as well and you dont even notice.
