Ive managed to pick up a 3 slat grill. What is the best way to fit it to the early cars as none of the clips line up?

Who ever it was (doubt he is on here) but that was one lovely looking car. I followed you till Forfar turn off. Silver, low and running what looked like 8"x15" BBS splitties. Kreg with german style plates. I didnt think Corrado would look good on wide 15" but this looked amazing. Plans are a foot for some coilovers and new wheels now. This got me thinking about Silver corrados. Were they only produced for a year or two because any that I have seen have all been Kreg? TBH its my favourite colour.

That might be it. Know anymore Flusted?

Thats the reason I was asking about the Loctite as that crossed my mind after looking at them.
-
Anybody know what the torque requirement for the fill/empty allen key plugs on the gearbox? Do they have to be loctited?

By RHS do you mean drivers side? Could you point it out roughly on the pic above.

At the recent RR day at Star I was speaking to a guy (Dave Mason with the uber Audi) and he mentioned something about shimming the metering head to gain a little power. I have done a search on this forum and managed to find a Kjet manual which has explained a lot. I realise that if you shim the flap to open further then more fuel will be added to the mixture but I am unsure of exactly where they go and what size shims you need. Can anybody help? This ,to me, effectively seems to have the same effect as the WUR mod which I have looked at and understand (reducing control pressure etc) or can both mods work in conjunction. I take it the WUR is only really beneficial at high rpm/loads to prevent leaning out. Do these mods drastically effect fuel consumption? Alos can somebody point out exactly where the WUR is.

As Henny said as we all know what winter is like up here. Taking the wheels of is a good idea unless you can get sacraficial tyres. Its a good theft deterrent as well as having no wheels. Remeber to leave the hanbrake off as well and try to drain most of the petrol out (apparently it goes off after only 4 weeks or so). Maybe worth taking the battery out and keeping it inside as well. Much the same as the bike.

Thanks, guess I'll be doing it this weekend. £33 all in from Demon Tweeks.

Apparently this is the stuff to have in your box but is it avilable at Halfords? Ive seen the online redline order site but would like to know I can get it for this weekend.

FK's are good quality.

There FK's are they not? Try search on some of the UK sites to see what ones and compare prices.

Do your tyres rub  Specs? Best time?

So you recken my pressure were too low the last time? The edges have had some wear as well and I am pretty sure the trianlge has gone. Roughly what pressure should they be for a 16v for a trackday. I am sure I was running about 30-32psi.

Last night I removed the trim from around the gearlever as I am replacing the shift mech. I found a simple on/off toggle switch which turned out to cut the electrical power like a sort of crude immobiliser. When removing from its mount I think it may have shorted. went to start the car this morning and there was nothing. I treid the switch but it didnt feel very positive. It would only allow power when it was half on/half off which means the car keeps cutting out. If this is a simple on off switch would it be possible to just connect the two leads, going into the switch, together thus missing out the switch? any help is appreciated as I am piss poor with anything electrical.

Its a bit of a wide subject but that does help. The last trackday I did the rubber was rolling quite badly on these tyres so obviously it looked worse than it was. Suppose I could just swap the fronts and backs around when they get low.

I put my airbox back to standard the other week after using the drilled etc and it is slightly better but in terms of noise its so much better. Never liked the induction note with the drilled box and at the end of the day thats all it is about, noise. Makes next to no difference.

Does anybody know what depth of tread new Toyo Proxes T1's come with. I am doing a trackday next month and know how much tread I have left so I am just wondering if they will last the day if it dry. 4.5mm & 4.8mm. Track will be open for 3 1/2hrs. I know how many miles I have done on them plus another trackday so it will give me a rough idea.

Use the "search" as this has definetly been discussed before.
