  1. RS replicas never look quite right IMO. I had the 8x17 LM reps and I liked them, just dont pay over the odds for them.
  2. Good work, silver is the best colour for them.
  3. Probably just the flyby wire throttle pedal. Mine was the similar, wasnt a hesitation but very sensitive throttle so it was hard to drive smoothly at low rpms.
  4. Quick photo of the Rocco lowered and with winter wheels on. Managed to get the new Raddo wheels on to see what they are like. I acutally quite like them in the black now, might just run them for a while now like this. Centre caps ditched as they look cheap.
  5. Cool, mine felt off and i was a bit gutted. Weird as I dont normally mind but it did this time.
  6. If it was still in the original colour that would be a nice car. Sell the charger and you have a very good motor really cheap. ditch the engine cover though it looks rank. ---------- Post added at 08:49 AM ---------- Previous post was at 08:17 AM ---------- Oh and its not a real Rallye, its 2wd Mk2 shell with Rallye panels.
  7. I can agree on some points but I love the handling, grip and feel with mine, I have the Dunlops on my summer wheels. Older cars will always give you more feel and you and directly connected to the components that at doing the job of steering and suspension. Im comparing mine to modern equivalent cars i.e. the Mk5 Gti I had before. The Scirocco IMO is a far better handling car than that was. I love them both, saying that my £2k Corrado sits in the garage and my £16k Scirocco is parked on the street, I think that says it all.
  8. Thats it mine is coming off then and getting stored.
  9. Ive seen the Quattro concept at Goodwood and it didnt stand out as much as I thought it would but then I had just been looking at some of the greatest racing cars alll day. Having owned my Rocco for about 3-4 months now I will say it is every bit the modern Corrado. As standard they are very much the same as a standard VR6 i.e. sit too high and need more power. Now that I have springs fitted and the car mapped it is brilliant, it now feels and looks very much like the Corrado except everytime I go to start it I dont have any doubts. Dont get me wrong I obviously love the Corrado and they are brilliant but I just think we need to accept that there is a good chance there will never be another made.
  10. Hope it wasnt that one from ebay as it had a kinked pipe it. Might be ordering a Jetex 2 box for mine to keep the OE exhaust in good condition as Ive got a feeling they are going to become like hens teeth. Thats my reasoning anyway.
  11. Been driving the car a little bit and it does feel better. Getting some noises from the topmounts so I'll need to check them out. Will get the 288's stripped at some point and get some OE looking Hel hoses possibly. Few little things to do over the winter and picked up another set of wheel last night. Didnt really want to go 17's again but Ive run these before and they were closets 17's in terms or feel / steering to the 15's plus the guy needed a quick sale so I went for them. 7.5x17, ET38 with basically new half decent rubber as well. Dont like the black so might go matt light grey or maybe even white!!
  12. VW dont make cars purely to please people, their first goal is to make money. Therefore even considering dropping the Golf would be pure suicide. Remember 95% of people buying cars couldnt give two ****s about handling on the limit or acceleration so why invest billions of euros to develop another Coupe car when they have a perfectly good one at the moment (thats the Scirocco by the way, I have one and it is every bit a modern Corrado). I believe a Scirocco Mk4 is on the cards, maybe they will name that the Corrado but I doubt it. Get the Corrado blinkers off please.
  13. These straght fit or bracket required? Never really looked at these before but they were damn good on a LCR I had.
  14. Or for lazy folks - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/220817910172?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649
  15. 288's, baffles sump, gearbox build with different gears, TT wishbone bushes and change wheels about 432 times. Either that or buy an S2 and leave the Corrado sitting doing nowt.
  16. Having done the massively modified route as well I prefer the near standard route as well now. A few wee tweeks here and there and accepting that they are an old coupe that are fun to drive is probably best.
  17. There is an R32'd Turbo 4wd Corrado in the UK. Its blue and wears TT comps. It was at Inters and was very quick. If you have the skills and patience you could could do it yourself however I can seeing it taking a long time. You'd need to really love the Corrado to do this.
  18. Nope, funnily I have been looking at some 2000 Wagens as there cheap as hell at the moment.
  19. Where are you? Not seen a thing yet this year in Aberdeen? D90 really suit the car by the way.

    Alloys for VR.

    Sounds good, what ones?

    Alloys for VR.

Thinking about a set of 16's for the VR. Anybody got a set they would sell? Dont really want anything too wide or heavy and preferrably with tyres.
  22. Yep, Im with you on that. Im back looking at Audi uber estates again as well, this time with the 5 pot upfront. The problem from storage is if and when you do decide to sell as most folk wont touch anything that isnt MOT's at least which means having insurance and sorting out niggles to get it through the MOT. I always find that I regret selling every Corrado Ive owned but only till I buy the next one. Sell it, you will find another if you want.
  23. Ive pretty much taken mine off the road over the winter, Im enjoying driving the Rocco so much now Im not missing the Corrado at all.
  24. I hate the idea of storing a car if im honest and especially if its outside. It will suffer no matter what you do. Id try and sell it if I was you, I would be tempted if it was closer and I could get away with using it for work. Price wise you will be lucky to get £1500 I would have thought, they do make great everyday cars. Whats the full run down on the car?
