  1. Im not to fussed in saving a £20-30 if Im honest, just dont want to order then never get the stuff. If Im doing it I want to get it done quickly.
  2. Cant help but if it doesnt work I may take it of your hands.
  3. Thats just trait of the conversion, you soon get used to it. So much easier to drive quickly isnt it, not having to wind the thing up all the time.
  4. Anybody ordered from these folks recently? I may be doing this over the winter.
  5. I reckon the guys seen the interest and now looking for more. Still a billy bargin as they are close to £850 for rims alone now. Dont think Im going to play the game though. Whats the crack with yours, got those CH's on yet? Might be interested in the Rota's if your selling.
  6. Im sure I could take it of your hands along with the block......lol.
  7. I looked at this and its not worth it. The gap between 4th and 5th would be huge and you wont sacrifice to much mpg keeping stock 5th. I never had a problem in my old car and managed about 28mpg on the run down to Inters at 80-90mph.
  8. Good to hear, it does sound just like my old green one with a little bit extra. Ive heard that might be up for sale.... Anyway good to hear its going well and the R engine is suiting you. All I can say is do not go in a car with one of these engines with a turbo fitted. Was out in a turbo'd R Mk2 on Sat and the power is relentess. Compared to my old car where it would pull but tail off slightly this thing was like it shifted another gear. That was with a GT3582 as well, utterly mental.
  9. Going to do this myself over the winter. Just wanted to double check that the carrier to hub bolts froml the Corrado will be okay with the 288 carriers?
  10. Read the description first, I wouldnt touch it.
  11. It would have been Performance Trim.

  13. A link to show you some of the cars I was up against, some serious machinery. http://www.flatoutphotography.com/gallery3/TS12/page/1 One good pic for now.
  14. Good day today. I was on the reserve list for the trackday and was round the girlfriends on Thr night so didnt check my mails. Turned up at work Fri morning to find an email saying I had a place for today. Bit last minute and I basically did no prep on the car at all. Havent even fitted my baffled sump so headed to Knockhill today for a 4hr open pit session. The car is basically standard apart from the coilovers, brembo max slotted discs and road brembo pads. The car was perfect all day and appears to have used very little oil. Plugs are all in good condition and brakes coped better than a thought. Had some good battles with turbo'd MX5s, Clios 182's etc but really missed the red one as it was dry. Missed it even more when I went for a spin in the Mk2 on p3. It is RAPID and gets the power down very well. Kev if you read this you need a turbine on the 32, it is amazing. Currently running around 490bhp. Had a wee battle with a 24v'd stripepd out Mk2 and there was very little in it. I reckon a little more power, some proper track tyres, 3.68FD, 288's and an oil cooler will make a nice little track car. Best thing is the car feels like it running better than ever, looks like it was needing a damn good roasting all along. Hopefully find some photos to add to the post.
  15. Haha not a fan then. A lot nicer than a 1 series coupe anyway.
  16. I hate the 1 series coupe, it just looks utterly sutpid IMO and I think a 5cyl is the best sounding engine however it is would be the 1M for me as well. Watch the recent 5th Gear comparison, says it all really. Only issue with the 1M as with a lot of the M cars is apparently the brakes are not up to the job on track, thats a shame for a perf car costing that much. Now of they fitted the RS engine to a Rocco then I would be camping at the dealers door.
  17. That is stunning. I think I sold my old exhaust to the previous owner, is it fitted or did I spy it sitting on the garage floor?
  18. Im going to look into this at the weekend and get some measurements with an aim to ordering bits. Im game to give it a go. I'll take some photos as I go.
  19. Who, merlin or Jetex? Edit, just looked at the Merlin website. I think the verniers and suitcase silencer will be coming out soon.
  20. I was going to say Jetex supply custom parts but they dont do 2.25in, only 0.5in steps.
  21. My old lights on both my old cars. Looked fine and was easy to apply. Might do it for the new one as well.
