I've asked a mate who owns a T4 and frequents the T4 forums to keep an eye out.

- I used to be a majorette when I was 6-10 y/o. I still have the baton and I can still do a few of tricks despite 16 years of zero practice - I will have my left arm fully tattooed in traditional japanese style black and grey work by the end of the year, I'm 3/4 there already - caaaan't wait :D - I have an irrational fear of balloons and climbing ladders ( not necessarily at the same time because that would be FAR too scary!! ) You've pretty much summed up my ideal woman! And you drive a Corrado too. :salute: :D She's pretty much summed up my ideal best mate

Just spotted in Luton :)

Herbert is finally on his way up to Aberdeen to greet his new owner Jamie aka jimmyvwjunkie after nearly 8 months of insurance stress! The transport company came and collected him this morning and I am quite sad to see him go :( I even got one last drive down the road before I had to give up they keys and everything about him still felt right; the driving position, the whistle of the charger (hence why he's called Herbert all you Family Guy fans..), the rattles and creaking of the interior panels, the drone of the exhausts, the lumpy idle, the feel of the ride... I don't think I appreciated Herb much until I could no longer drive him after the accident :pale: I'll be going to the darkside with my next car but there is no doubt I'll get another Corrado in the future :luvlove:

Someone had already hit the post before I got there; my car was damaged on the road and was later pushed up on to the grass by the fuzz as it was right on a busy roundabout. I've requested a quote on his website, thanks :) If it wasn't a write-off then yes that would be possible :)

7.5T lorry decided he didn't want to stay in his lane coming up to a big roundabout despite him wanting to turn right and just veered over to my lane for no reason. There was nowhere I could go, not that I could avoid it seeing as he hit my rear 1/4 so didn't even see it coming! I've asked BTJ for details :) I'm not bothered about price as I won't be paying, it's whoever can do it the soonest which I guess also depends on Jamie's plans

You have a PM!
-
Driving it could be interesting ... Dukest may be able to help so fingers crossed I won't have to use a private firm!
-
Cool, thanks. Do you have a username for him as I'm not registered on there. Yeah, but then it is going from Southend in Essex to west of Aberdeen so I don't expect it to be particularly cheap
-
Does anyone know of any decent (but not ridiculously expensive) car transporting company website, email address, phone numbers, etc? I've got two quotes from people I've found on eBay and the cheapest is £480 and that's a part-load with another random car!!

Shaun Ryder (Happy Mondays/Black grape) owned a Corrado !
LisaK replied to James.'s topic in General Car Chat
"it doesn't make sense... all the other cars around his were dead posh" but the Corrado was the easiest to break in to, duhhhhh -
My adventure- Stranded rado in dogging hotspot!
LisaK replied to jaded2882's topic in General Car Chat
You aren't the only one! I happened upon a dogging hotspot near a country park in Brentwood when all I wanted to do was eat my chips somewhere picturesque!! Thought it strange loads of men were wandering around or driving up and down in their cars peering in to the C looking excited, seeing me and then looking disappointed  I googled the country park and it was a GAY dogging hotspot so no wonder why they were disappointed, bet they thought I was a nice, young, up-for-it lad in my "boyracer" car   -
As posted on edition...

£50 for mine ... but then the offside is totally buggered and I don't have a valid MOT due to the accident nor do I have the V5 in my possession  Salvage value is more than that!!

General question re waterproof Car Cover for the C
LisaK replied to sprinterVR6's topic in General Car Chat
Can I have it when you've finished? Actually is it any good? Seeing as the Rado will now be used less than it was.... Our new car, "Annie" arrived today! G has only been under it a couple of weeks, seems fine so far. As for "have it when I've finished" ... give me £55 and yes, you may! -
General question re waterproof Car Cover for the C
LisaK replied to sprinterVR6's topic in General Car Chat
I've got this one for the G to stop the accident damage getting worse and rusting out: http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_565257_langId_-1_categoryId_165611 -
I saw FOUR Corrados whilst I was out today!!! I can't remember the details of three of them as they weren't that important (VR6s lol) but I do remember the totally stunning, standard Brilliant Black Met. J reg G60 in Waltham Cross High Street - made me quite sad as mine was nearly as mint as that til the poxy lorry accident :(
-
Nope, I think I'll keep them. I don't have a working Corrado anymore so sucks to be you
-
The boot was locked out as well :( All sorted now thanks to Darren at G-Werks! Ended up having to snap the grill off to pull the bonnet release cable and disconnect the battery. Ive got dirty, cut hands now but, ahhhh silence!!
-
The battery appears to be dead on the C and my Laserline alarm is going off. The only problem is, the alarm has deadlocked the central locking and the buttons on either of the 2 fobs don't work. I'm a bit stuck :help: please!

Not trying to crap on your attempt at a sale mate, but if the OP is looking for a standby / spare car to use whilst he waits for another one to come up, what good is a car which has been stood for 9 years, needs to be trailered back, and is most definitely going to be a project? I assumed he was after something he could hop into and drive away! Looks like a cool car and I'm not slating it at all, but I doubt it's going to just need the oil changing before it flies through an MOT! And the fact that Jamie has already got a Rocco "runaround" and wants to get something else instead cos he hates it so much
-
Not desirable to you maybe but Id happily have a matt blacked C if it wasnt a total rustbox!
-
Ive just spoken to the transport manager of the haulage firm and they said they have to go through certain procedures so have to go through the insurance company :( He also said the excess only applies to damage on their vehicles and I dont think a damaged indicator will warrant a claim  *Mod edit - comment removed*
