Agreed, it looks awful! If TVR think Corrado mirrors are good enough for some of their cars then they're good enough for the Corrado :)

Try the Scirocco Register (im sure you can google it yourself ;))

Thanks for all the comments and kind thoughts. I was pretty shaken up at the time and it's taken a few days for me to get over it, ie, aching, crying for no reason, lack of sleep, etc. and every time I look out of the window all I see is a beautiful car (the passenger side faces my house so I don't see the damage) until I have to go out :( The lorry was inches away from my head so it could've quite easily been a lot worse for me and the car so in that sense I'm quite lucky. I'd fully repair the car myself if I was intending to keep it but it was already sold to Jamie as I'd received a deposit. I've refunded the deposit but he still wants the car if everything is straight and just needs panels, all of which I will fit/provide. It could be win-win for me as I'll be getting more money than if the lorry hadn't crashed in to me... Thanks for the offers of parts. I'll wait til the engineer writes it off and I'll go from there - the main battle will be getting the insurance to pay me the full amount for the car as I won't settle for anything less so it could take a while

Wednesday morning on the way to work a lorry decided the whole offside of my G was a nice place to be. Funnily enough, I didn't feel the same way and was >this An engineer/damage assessor is coming to look at the damage next Tuesday and I have no doubts that he will write it off :( The car was sold for 3k+ so it's more than enough proof it's worth that much and Jamie has said he will write a statement to back my evidence up. The damage seems to be caused by the lorry's wheel bolts and if the car was higher the sill would've been churned up!! I've had a look over the car and the damage appears to be purely cosmetic; the hub, suspension, drive shaft, etc. is still in tact and doesn't appear to have moved and the inner shell on the rear 1/4 appears untouched. I've changed the alloy so I can move the G if I need to and it drives like normal (apart from the 2 different sized alloys on the front of course!) and hasn't affected the engine at all!! Now, for the pics :(

It's cammed and chipped therefore it will overfuel and a standard airbox will be provided in the sale. haha. what a vulture u are man. looking for a nice set of multi spoke bbs splits. find them i will sell you the abt's :D If you're thinking of putting BBS on it I won't sell it to you  Engine mods would be FMIC and oil cooler and then a remap/uprated chip. Oh, maybe also cogs 2 and 4 (?) from a VR gearbox so the gearing is a bit longer!

The pedal box is a common thing to go on the Mk4s.

I've seen two today- a purple one, probably a VR, going south on the A12 around Colchester at 1.30pm and a standard looking blue valver on Chelmer Valley Road in Chelmsford around 3pm

I managed to remove the cover with a bit of twisting and I found that it's the breather pipe which is leaking, not the gasket. Now, what I didn't expect was the whole thing to come off in my hands :? The end looks like its snapped and has been like that for a while and I'm guessing it's not meant to be like that!!? I've looked in the bay and on vagcat and I still can't find where it's meant to attach to. Helllllllp -
Not exactly the most comfortable drive as the steering wheel is between my knees, it doesn't adjust nor do the Recaros and my knees touch the dashboard BUT it's lots of fun to drive, tons of low down power, feels totally solid on the road and very easy to whip the rear end round which isn't always a good thing! Anyone who wants one and is taller than 5'10 would have issues driving it.

I really wasn't sure why they put the Range Rover and greenhouse thing in; it really wasn't funny and just seemed like a pointless gap filler. Oh and.... I get to drive a 300 TT SWB manual targa version whenever I want

Red M reg, think it was a valver, parked on a driveway along the main road running passed Lea Valley Country Park around the Chingford area.

I wasn't sure exactly what it was (til I looked at vagcat tonight) and didn't want to break anything so didn't try and force the cover off. It's not leaking in huge amounts, just leaves a slight oil residue on the rocker cover but I'd rather get it sorted. I'll give it another go tomorrow, thanks :) -

Jon. There are two "2a" bolts actually. And seriously. You are starting to wind me up now :? -
The number "2" part is the black cover which is apparently part of the ventilation on top of the rocker cover. I've got a teeny oil leak which I suspect is from the gasket underneath no "2" and I tried pulling the cover off lightly but it's not shifting. I didn't want to force it just in case I broke something so how on earth do I take it off?

I changed a water flange as it was leaking a teeny bit of water and also changed the header tank for a nice, new, clean one :D

Maybe it's just about worth getting married...

BTJ - best not to argue with someone (yeti) who works at Aston Martin ;) -
Rado vs Rice : a little test, which do you prefer?

A highly barried n/a Supra or a charged Corrado? Hmm, hard one... I've driven a JDM Mk3 Supra TT for a few days - nice looking but I thought it was a complete BOAT and really sluggish in the lower gears. I've never driven the Mk4 so can't comment but I'd assume it'd be a bit more refined yet similar to the Mk3. Out of all those three I'd have a Starion in 2.0 Turbo widebody form as I've driven one of those and it was fun, a relatively light car desite the size and stunning :D The only thing I don't like is when you forget the seatbelts are attached to the doors and you open the door whilst wearing the seatbelt :censored: :censored:  -
Whats the best MPG anyones had out of a Corrado?
LisaK replied to Pat_McCrotch's topic in General Car Chat
35.7mpg with an extremely light foot and mimimum traffic - not bad for a fairly heavily tuned G60! -
Good choice!!! In lime green and black I hope?

I went out last night and thought I'd drive through Southend seafront to see what barry cars were around as Sat night is "boy racer night". The traffic was stop start the whole way and every group of people I slowly drove by said something about the G and/or me; One bloke said "RAAAAAAR" at the car from a distance and then as I drove by he shouted "I LOVE YOUUUUUU" Another bloke in another group said "wow, thats a nice example.... bloody hell, a bird driving!" And the other one I could remember "sounds like there's something meaty under the bonnet" I had a grin on my face for ages but it also made me feel really guilty about wanting to sell up :(
