  1. I don't think the word "promise" was used. I think it was more of a "maybe" ...
  2. Jon, you know the G overfuels and the apparent 'metal' sound is a combination of the charger and RSR outlet, duh. The car is quite healthy unlike yours, my dear :)
  3. Rolling Road vid :D [youtube:3al24mgl]v1GjEFOeic8[/youtube:3al24mgl]
  4. *Sensible post alert* I drive a '54 Honda Accord 2.2CDTi estate for work and it's surprisingly nippy! It's the base model but its still fully loaded - half leather/half alcantara seats, climate control, dual heating controls, alloys, etc. It's a good looking car with a nice, comfortable drive and very spacious :thumbleft:
  5. Yep, in the next few months :) :ignore: Although if my engine turns out to be "goosed" I've been told, by the other half, to buy a new car! First Dibs Lisa? Er... :ignore: With a lumpy cam idle, a straight through stainless exhaust, deleted boost return, RSR outlet and more than a stage 5 charger rebuild I dont want or need the sound of a V6 as my C sounds plenty more individual and meatier than that :) As for the fly to wheel power loss, not a clue! Maybe just more accurate rollers I guess? 50hp is quite a bit of loss for FWD..
  6. I took my car on the rollers at AMD Tecknik, West Thurrock earlier today (along with a group of ricers). The only power-related mod Ive done since the first RR is swapping the SNS chip to an updated G-Werks version. I'll upload the dyno print later but the figures arent to be sniffed at... 210bhp and 213lb/ft at the fly and only 29bhp loss at the wheels compared to around 50bhp loss last time round :D happy, happy, happy!!! (AMD Technik specialise in German autos so they were happy they could test a VW, very impressed by how the G ran and one of their staff now wants to buy it :) Their customer service couldnt be faulted and we were brought round courtesy tea, coffee and a selection of biscuits. The rollers seem to be pretty accurate too as a standard Mondeo st200 ran and got near enough 200bhp).
  7. What's all this ridiculous talk about VRs and valvers? What you want is a nice G60 ;)
  8. Not what you said over text, Mr! Feel free to take the black ones off my hands then Nope, no stupidly low sump but the fuel tank is pretty close to the ground now  Haha, I get you, though the bodywork on yours is tidier and mine is a tad quicker ;) They are my second best buy for the C just behind the KW V2s. Well happy with them, thank you :)
  9. Off with the crap Team Dynamic Pro Race alloys with a silly offset. On go the ABT rims with a teeny bit of tyre stretch plus about 90mm lower on the coilies than standard :D
  10. Are they new VW parts or pattern?
  11. I have a leaky sender but apparently its a pattern part according to VW as it doesnt have a part number on it and they dont do a brown one! Can anyone tell me what colour it should be and/or the part number so I can make sure VW order me the right one please? Its the sender that's attached to the right side of the head with the oil return feed attached. Spank you!
  12. That's a slap next time i see you Leigh! Course you can't as you can't see Lisa's appaling "Bird parking" that caused him to swerve! Anyway he's agreed to pay, so a Trip to see Harj @ D-Natek is on the books as soon as the money's sorted! I cant believe he's still blaming me for hitting your car
  13. The new one has lots more American V8 muscle in it too *dribble* I did find the nitrous oxide catching fire and exploding scene quite amusing though - nitrous isnt flammable
  14. Im not spending money sorting offsets on wheels that I really dont like.
  15. @ Michael Knight!! Not a fan of Borbet Cs but thanks for the thought :)
  16. Did you not read what I wrote? I said I think they look gash so don't apologise
  17. He's meant to be a smelly air freshener one - he's lost his smell but I won't take him out :)
  18. A couple of non-drastic updates: I received the above spring bit from Junkie as well as a few other bits that I wanted and some I didn't at Spring Fest, so thanks Simon :) I found a decent condition standard airbox also at Spring Fest for £20 incl the air hose so I was happy about that :) I'm hoping to get some time off in June, maybe July, so I can rip the front off of the C and start replacing the standard coolant hoses for my Samcos (hopefully I'll have Samco boost hoses by then as well), replace the header tank for a brand new one and generally give the old girl a good clean up. Oh and maybe a sneaky fmic (but I'll definitely need man-help with that one!). Stuff actually done to the car: all red rears (sprayed, not the lamin-x things and no pics as i'm sure you know what they look like by now), new stereo and an "interesting" pin stripe around the rims... I'm getting bored with how my C looks, mainly because I HATE the alloys that are on there - I think they are too big (I prefer 16" to 17") and although they are narrow, they have an offset of et15 which makes them stick out and they are ripping my tyres and rear arches to shreds which is why I can't lower it anymore. I'm on the lookout for some new rims but thought I'd give the TDs a bit of a new look in the meantime. Personally, I think it looks gash but I've had mixed opinions from friends and family. It's only stick-on pin-stripe tape so it'll peel off in seconds. Feel free to air your opinions :)
  19. I fitted my new stereo today :) Its got ipod and usb memory stick attachments to save carrying hundreds of CDs around in my car.
  20. Ahh yes, forgot the 2001-early 06 tax is less than 06 onwards... doesn't say which year he's thinking of buying though... ;)
  21. Can't forget the £400 a year tax!
