You could cover it all up with your tax disc instead. Oh no wait, you haven't got a tax disc! Hence the reason why you're in court in the first place. Silly me. Why have you turned in to "Mr DVLA" all of a sudden? At least he's actually bothered to pay for vehicle license tax unlike a few hundred thousand irresponsible idiots that are on the roads who won't have insurance or MOT either.

The slider is a bit "sticky" towards the windscreen symbol but it has always been like that. The sliders and vent controls have no bearing on the noise it would seem as the noise is there at high speed whether the blowers are open/closed, on/off, feet/face/windscreen. As for local... a good 2.5hrs  Thanks for the offer anyways :)

I've tried all variations of above and it doesn't work :(

I've only had this problem for the past couple of weeks but it is SERIOUSLY annoying. The vents sound like they are rattling/squeaking at high speed (70mph+), never at low speed, and the noise is there whether the fans are on or not. I've also noticed the passenger side of the windscreen doesn't clear very well when the fans are on full blast compared to the driver side. Is it just a case of a blocked vent or am I looking at something more serious? (No, I haven't attempted to look at it yet - I'm trying to hold it off as long as possible ) Any sensible suggestions are appreciated as my head hurts from trying to drown the sound out by turning my music up :gag:

Today I changed the wipers and fitted the door handle repair kit to the passenger side whilst unintentionally stabbing myself multiple times with the small screwdriver used to lever the spring out of position!

Just thought of another - an ex mate's '68 beetle ... The headlights were crap, the wipers were sloooow, the windscreen was scratched to buggery, it had a short-shifter that barely moved so you didn't know if it was in gear, it was noisy, slow, full of holes that splashed water in your face when raining and the driving position was awful! I think I've just described most classic Beetles though...

I have two: - Fiat Stilo 1.6 16v handled like a boat, the seats offered no support at all (the foam was flat and apparently unmoulded), the steering was too light despite a button to make it even lighter (!!) and the road noise was ridiculously loud in the cabin! - booted Honda Civic 1.4 electric hybrid thing was creaky and noisy due to the amount of plastic tat covering the dash, it had no power AT ALL and the steering wasn't that responsive. The only plus point about the car were the heated seats ... the warm, burny sensation on your ass was actually quite pleasant!

I know which is why I joshed back, silly

more like fuel economy, it's quite a bit better than the previous car and this will be a relatively big seller so needs to do it's share for VW's product range average emissions as well as keeping it in as low a taxation band as possible. ...and a bigger powered engine would mean it'd be competing against the likes of the Cupra, which I'm guessing VW don't want to do! Sorry... [puts girly hat on]The white one is nice[/takes girly hat off]

Much better looking than the Scirocco!

N6 DUB? I think that's Mark on Edition38 with the silver Mk3 VR (that used to be a 1.4 cl) and e46 M3 beemer..

I find more and more drivers (usually men!) think that putting their indicator on means that they have a right to pull out in to the next lane, normally at 55mph! Um, I always thought indicating in this way was a warning to other drivers that you wish to pull out and will when it's safe to do so!? But no, that'd be common sense.. and law.

Audi S3 or SEAT Ibiza Cupra ? Discuss.....
LisaK replied to BigTartanJudge's topic in General Car Chat
Id only choose the S3 over the Ibiza purely because it has 4wd. If the Ibiza wasnt FWD, id be all over it! -
That tomato soup looks anaemic. Brown bread ham and cheese sandwiches FTW though!
