 *ahem* ... says you who was told by a girl that your charger noises were normal...
-
Mine is the same when accelerating quickly and notice in my reply where I mentioned accelerating slowly that mine does it ;) Give it a go, I'm sure you'll hear it - mine normally starts to "weeeeeeeeee" around 3600rpm :)
-
Accelerating slowly up to boost, mine kinda goes "weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee-woooooooooooooooh-ttssssssssshhhhhhhh" - absolutely love it :D
-
I think it's to do with the boost return removed and the RSR outlet.. :)
-
    That's exactly what your charger should sound like with those mods! You should've bought a VR6 instead if you don't like the sexual noises ;)

Door handle repair kit..........THEY ARE NOW AVAILABLE
LisaK replied to daves16v's topic in Suppliers Forum
Could I have a passenger side kit please? The handle died last night :( -
My dad was fitting a radiator in a neighbours house and the bloke pipes up, 'Your daughter has a really nice car!' (hes currently got a Touareg and has had all sorts of Jags, BMWs, motorbikes, etc. in the past). 'Which daughter?' The bloke replies, 'Not the one with that blacked out Mercedes thing, the other one with the Scirocco! (close enough!) Stunning car and it sounds lovely when I hear it drive passed!' 'I think it sounds like a bloody WW2 Bomber!' 'Yeah, exactly! Its brilliant!' That brings the count up to 9 people who thinks my G sounds like a WW2 bomber and still only 1 who thinks it sounds like a helicopter

Whoop, a friend of a friend of a friend has engines lined up in his garage, one being a G60 so he kindly removed the hose for me yesterday and I'll be fitting it this morning :D g60karmann - no oil cooler fitted and the oil doesnt really get that hot anyways. Alexander - Well, Happy Birthday for the same day as mine then :)

Thank you :) The Corrado is now on the back of a recovery truck heading the way I was intending to go in the first place so I WILL be at Edition and Action this weekend - woohoo! Whilst Im here... does anyone have a spare hose that runs from the left side of the temp senders down as thats the one thats gone pop!
-
... stuck on the M25 hardshoulder with a burst water hose *sigh* :(
-
Looks a bit like a squished TVR Tuscan from the side view!
-
I cant take credit for the pics - I just acquired them from one of the parts blokes at the Epsom branch who posted them on another forum :)
-
A stealership in Epsom have just got a Scirocco in... I'm loving the colour! I've seen pictures of it in white and I really didn't like it but seeing it in darker colours may have just twisted my opinion of it somewhat...
-
I do have uprated wipers/arms and rain tyres so it's not all bad ;)
-
A main flaw which is a safety thing - the fastest wiper speed isn't fast enough in a downpour, even when driving slowly!
-
Smoking in any car, let alone a Corrado is a big :nono: in my book! One of the worst smells in the world is stale cigarette smoke in a car :pukeright:
-
And how true it is :luvlove:
-
I want a GTi-R .... but it ain't the VW!
-
 Get Real! How is a Mk2 Golf gooder than a Mk1?
-
It just looks like a more upright Scirocco.... BOOOORRRRIIIINNNGGGG!
-
Just sold G60? dont know what to get? GOT A NEW MOTOR!!!!
LisaK replied to iow_corrado_g60's topic in General Car Chat
Slow... but it looks really tidy :) -
Getting the car running properly/tuned up G-lader service Front end respray Investigate why ABS light keeps flickering on and off when it feels like it (probably loose connection somewhere) Rear arches rolled Get other alloys refurbed New sunroof mech (yep. no slidey!) Or... I could just get the first 4 done and then sell up *scratches chin*

I'd call it more annoying than funny, though others thought it was highly amusing - the driver's door handle decided to break whilst I was at a No-Rice meet. Doesn't sound too bad, does it? The only problem was that I'd parked the passenger side mega close to a bollard so there was no way I was opening the passenger door to get through to the driver's side - I HAD TO GO THROUGH THE SODDING BOOT!! :censored:

Is this the one you're all talking about? http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stor ... &langId=-1 Still seems to be on offer online!
