  1. Awesome, now you've had lots of practice on yours you can come and fix mine! :D
  2. I voted for the Rover 25... Like f*ck I did! That's another vote for you Adz. :D
  3. My girlfriend has a 140 gen 7. I actually really like it. And the 190 is bl**dy awesome! The only problem we've had with it was with the wheels. They buckled really easily (all four of them were gone) but some wolfies sorted that out! :D The VVTi engine apparently after about 60k starts using a bit of oil and we have noticed this with Lucy's car. If I recall this was down to the piston ring design. Not excessive but you have to keep an eye on it. I agree with Andy, the chassis is brilliant. Feels really sporty. The ride can be a bit harsh on certain roads and sometimes I get a bit uncomfortable in the passenger seat but whilst driving you don't notice either of those two things. The only thing about the handling is if anything it is a bit too clinical. It does make driving it very easy though and even in the wet it has muchos muchos grip. If was going to get one myself I'd go for the higher powered one obviously....
  4. I've not looked at this thread before. That is fantastic! I'm so showing that to the technicians at work tomorrow!
  5. I do know what you mean. But VW would never have the scrotal capacity to make something that looked like that. I just can't wait to see one in real life. You can't truly make your mind up until you do.
  6. Sheesh, get over that picture already. It looks good how it is anyhow. They said so on Top Gear. So there!
  7. There's a CD changer where my first aid kit used to be. :D
  8. Yeah, I must admit it does play on my mind when I'm driving it. Like "Sh!t that bolt could go at any moment!". But I'm a worrier about things like that. Which is silly really cos even if the worst did happen it wouldn't be the end of the world. I'd just rebuild it after all.
  9. Er, dude. You've got like six stars and stuff.... Thanks for the pic Prodigal. You're a gentleman and a scholar. :D I can't wait to get my bolt. I'm scared of driving in case it snaps at any moment! :(
  10. A picture of a crank bolt would be good. I've been waiting sooooo long for VW to supply a DX one for my G60 I've forgotten what they look like. And Dinkus, how have you managed to bring dogging into this thread? You're obsessed man!
  11. 'nien' chance! that's the sum total of german i know & i've probably spelt it wrong! Yes. Yes you have spelt it wrong. The German speakers on here will have to get together and put up a translation.
  12. Yeah, but they look nice.  Can't wait to go back next year. Think I'm gonna arrange a driving holiday and travel over as wide an area as possible. Still haven't been to Wolfsburg yet....
  13. I already work at one! You should see some of the retro Hyundai classics we've had traded in recently.... P reg Accent Coupe anybody?... Mate, I reeeaaaallllly didn't want to come back. All the stuff England thinks it is good at Germany is actually good at, and all the things England is good at Germany is better at. I would live there in a second given half a chance. There were some typical brits abroad at our hotel that were just really loud and idiotic. When the football was on I was next to them in the bar and I made sure when I was within earshot that I ordered all the drinks in German so they didn't realise I was English and try to talk to me. I was so embarassed I just didn't want to be associated with them. Sad really. If you ever get the chance to go just take it mate. It was brilliant. Those pics barely scratch the surface! The SLK55 AMG was just awesome. My girlfriend has a new favourite car!
  14. It's not the best show of the year tbh but it's a good place to catch up with a lot of people.
  15. Just got back from my latest holiday to Germany. Thought I'd share some of the more interesting exhibits from the Merc Museum in Stuttgart. The whole city is an amazing place and well worth the hour and ten minute flight. For those who haven't been to Germany before it's just like England really but the streets are clean, the trains run exactly on time, there are no such things as chavs, and it is inhabited by the friendliest most hospitable people you are ever gonna meet. Oh, and they put us to shame when it comes to cooking a steak! Anyhow, here are some pics: Ringo Starr's old Merc! :D Wish I could have brought this back as a souvenir!   Bit out of my price range though! All in all a wicked holiday. Got loads more pics but they are taking an age to upload and sort through! And my Corrado didn't take kindly to being left at home. Went to take it out this morning for the first time since getting back and made it no further than the end of my driveway! There was a little light on the dash blinking at me and upon a brief inspection of my garage floor I found a large puddle of water and coolant! How, how does that happen? It's sat there untouched for a week and just spontaneously dumped all of its coolant. It wasn't leaking before I left!
  16. Sweet. I'm so glad they included the Rado in this. Glad I paid attention in German class! :D
  17. Got back from Stuttgart yesterday and was browsing the motoring press whilst I was there. New Scirocco features quite heavily in all the mags at the moment obviously. They absolutely love it over there. And it looks wicked in the Viper Green. Interestingly they get around the fact that it's not a coupe by referring to the original Scirocco as a hatchback. :? As opposed to our press that just think if they call it a coupe everyone will start believing it. I'll try and get some scans up of one of the better articles I picked up.
  18. There was a black Mk1 on the bottom row towards the landing ramp, though. There were loads of dubs in that pile. I'm sure I saw a mk2 and a mk3 and there was at least one polo. Oh well, it's what they would have wanted I suppose. I too have been on the list for tickets for years and years. Reckon we should all just bundle the place. A bit like my idea to bundle Area 51 in America.... Um, I've said too much....
  19. Would love to mate, but Reading is a bit far for me to travel. Perhaps next time I'm going down to Swansea I can stop off on the way. :D How about Crystal Palace?  Hang on a minute. I'm not starting a valeting service or anything here. I'm flattered that you think I'm worthy to be let loose on your car with a sponge and bucket but you'll get more satisfaction from it if you do it yourself dude. You cheeky goit.
  20. That whole police car bit was just awesome. :D When Hammond was driving his Vitara and his "tongue" fell off! Did anyone else spot the continuity error in that bit though? The thing that bores me though is star in a reasonably priced car. I just fall asleep I'm so bored of it now. Or go and get something to eat. I just treat it as some kind of interlude.
  21. Would love to mate, but Reading is a bit far for me to travel. Perhaps next time I'm going down to Swansea I can stop off on the way. :D
  22. Cheers Andy. :D When I was at Motorspares this afternoon picking up some cleaning supplies I was looking at their alloys and they had a few sets that would look awesome on my car. But getting rid of the steelies would seem sacrilegious. They are just such a part of what makes my car what it is. It would look so wrong without them.
  23. Just something about getting Busy with people from Poland. :tumbleweed: I was the capitalisation that threw me. :) The old ones are the best.
  24. I think edition 38 is gonna be the first show I make it to with the Rado though. Can't wait for next summer when everything mechanical will be sorted out hopefully. Then I can start going to town on getting a few more horsies out of the engine....
