It is a noisy old thing! Squeeky belts, superchargers and broken power steering pumps. I do love it though. :D Here's a picture of the bay:

Here's my PG. :D "JOGS". Been on here for a while and never done a decent thread about my G60 so thought I'd start one. Deleted the otheres mods so please don't lock! :) It needs so much doing to it and I need to get it all done before I buy my first house or else mortgage is going to make it impossible. Gonna get it resprayed in original colour. I repaired my little argument with my girlfriend's wall I had earlier in the year. Colour match is really bad but what do you expect out of a spray can? Charger was last rebuilt 17k ago but I want to get it done for piece of mind. I'm like that. It needs a good service, oil, plugs, dizzy cap, leads - the usual bits and pieces. Gonna drop it closer to the road as well if budget allows. Also a new tailpipe would be nice. Gonna give the bay a good clean as it looks like there's been mud wrestling going on inside it. Think the power steering pump is in the process of imploding. Steering is starting to feel real heavy and it sounds a little strained. It's leaking coolant from somewhere. Looks like the good old thermo housing due to it being encrusted in whiteness. Interior wise it needs some new carpets due to some cigarette burns :(. Also the stereo and speakers are awful. Gonna get some Alpine kit to go in it. Anyway here's some pics.... Also I noticed a strange thing today. I let my girlfriend drive it (yeah I must be in love) and it's the first time I've ever been in the passenger seat. The funny thing was when I'm driving I can hear the charger but it ain't all that loud, but from the passenger side it sounds a lot louder and even more awesome. Does anyone else suffer from this strange phenomononon?

Mine's still standard everything apart from wheels and stereo. Unfortunately that includes things like those bl**dy fuel lines that I really should change for braided ones before they start leaking all over my exhaust manifold and my G60 burns.... :( Am seriously considering getting it lowered though. I mean, it's not going to do it any harm. :D The things with corrados is they are bound at some point in their lives now to have been owned by at least one person partial to a bit of tinkering.

I bet it's a lot more fun than my job! I'd love to work with cars. Got to get off my ass big time and get myself sorted. Working in insurance sucks. Big time. I've had the good fortune to have driven an Impreza WRX STI on a track.. it was absolutely spectacular! My mate has just gone on one of those Aston experience days and they took him round the track in a Scooby before hand. He reckons the Scooby was the best bit!

Do you ever have dreams involving your Corrado?
Sonicriot13 replied to joebloggsVR69's topic in General Car Chat
I get dreams about my guitar getting broken. I've never dreamt about the Rado though. Although I did have a dream the other night that I saw a Veyron on the A14, and when I woke up I actually thought to myself that I was going to post on here that I saw a Veyron, but then I realised that I was in bed and it was all a dream. My Mum thinks I'm cool.... -
Off topic: How do I get a job like yours?
-
You obviously haven't driven an Impreza turbo, or Evo 1 to 9, or Lexus is300, or Land Cruiser, or Lexus Soarer, or a Skyline..... then!
-
Well, have you bought one yet? There is no question. I couldn't talk you out of it even if I wanted to. It would be like going against my very nature. Once they get inside you that's it. So you may as well give in now.

Noooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!! How can somebody turn two of my dream cars into one hellish nightmare? :( :( :(
-
That's terrible news. :( It always is whenever anybody dies on the roads. Very sad indeed.

This'll teach me to look a little better....

Oh, sorry. I think you misunderstood. That was kind of meant as a joke. Wasn't actually asking if anyone had one.... My bad. Should have thought a little harder about how I worded that one! -
I know for a fact if we take one out for a spin my girlfriend will want one too. Thinking about it she's probably trying to persuade herself as much as me. Maybe we can hock the Celica.... As much as I love that car it ain't no E30 M3.

It Boils My Piss! Effing Thieving Scrotey Shitbags!
Sonicriot13 replied to rado-steve's topic in General Car Chat
I think it's good what you did mate. People like that need standing up too and shown that that sort of cr@p won't be put up with. And who knows, maybe you've scared him enough to save someone elses valve caps from being pinched. -
Er... anyone got a down pipe for an old ABD golf? Think a trip down to Steven's might be on the cards.    So much for my cheap runaround.
-
Yeah, but thanks to that my poor long suffering girlfriend is having to spend a lot of time persuading me it would be a bad idea to go and buy one. It does look very sexy. I don't think it would be a bad idea at all....
-
See, it's true!!! Categorically true. So we've learned that if you want to break the law on British roads drive a red car, or like me go one better and drive a white car. White cars look best as well. :D
-
I'm not sure how true this is but I once heard that traffic cops play snooker. So nicking someone with a nugget yellow would be worth two points. I'd be a foul cos my c is white. And one that's black would be worth seven points. They do get very bored.... I just asked my girlfriend if that's true (she's a police officer, still won't wear the uniform for me :() and she says I'm talking scrollox. She says that a lot mind....

I can't get the video to work. Should I be upset by this?...

Hello there, Are they very dependable? No guarantees either way I'm afraid. I've had my G60 since April and all it's needed is a new battery so far. Although problems have started to surface now. Such as leaks and things. I would consider myself lucky on the reliability front. Is insurance expensive? Dear god yes. Not sure how insurance works over in the US but the groups they are rated on for insurance purposes over here are obscene. Highest is VR6 Storm that is in group 19! (20 being the highest and is the realm of Astons and the like). Are they expensive to fix? Depends what breaks but generally yes. Anything else you should know? One of the best driving experiences ever in the world and certainly the best driving experience I've ever had. You will be sucked in.... Also check out the knowledge base. Loads of info there or search the forum for particular things. And last but not least welcome to the forum! :D Whereabouts you from? I used to live in Lakeland Florida many years ago.

Owwwwwwwwwwwwww!

Now I have a real problem with this kind of clothing. I know everyone finds beauty in a different face/ass/whatever, but you can't wear something the proclaims you are sexy. It is up to the person looking at you to decide whether or not you are sexy. You can not tell someone you are sexy. They won't believe you if they think you're a munter. They just won't.

Really good to see the engine going back in! :D I must say those pictures are going to be really useful to me. You have a library of what the inside of a PG engine looks like! -
  That car really is one of a kind!! Yeah, thank bl**dy goodness it is one of a kind....

Now remember everybody "more air + more fuel = more power". :D Considering the power gains achieved using a decent charger I think 8-18 horses is a bit pants really. Especially for a hundred notes.
