This place sells the displacers too for 780 euro. http://www.rp-motorsport.de/en/index.htm

Sounds like your small bearings in the top of the charger are knackered. The old belt is more slack and when you fit the new belt it's pulling the cogged wheels closer together. Just a guess though! :?
-
I agree with the above in that you would be better off fitting a LSD as it's much more cost effective. By fitting a 4wd system your car will not only weigh more but there are also more driveline loses. It's worth it if you have 300+hp but with 200/250 it's not. Unless of course you are not doing it for performane issues but for just having something different. Like me :D . Jay

Thanks guys. I only just noticed this as i have not been around on here much. I think i will be the only one in oz for a while with a 16vg60. :) Watch out for the next project. A twin turbo 24v 2.8l 4 motion corrado. Watch this space!

It sounds to me like the compression ratio is to high. The knock sensor will be telling the ecu to back everything off which is why the a/f meter is going off the scale. I had a similar problem a few years ago when i was running a 2l tall block and g60 head on standard compression. I then stacked up 2 head gaskets and it solved it. See how it runs if you drop off the boost pipe and run without the supercharger.
-
Out of interest, what sort of compression ratio are you running on the engine?
-
The standard injectors with stock pulley and chip will run fine if you take it easy and set up the co ok.
-
Something else that might effect it is that your using the abs unit from a 4-motion but without a haldex connected to it. Might be telling the abs unit somethings up. Can you rig up a cable from the abs ecu to the haldex ecu temporarally.

Any hints and tips for fitting a Golf G60 intercooler?
G60JAY replied to Tattie's topic in Engine Bay
The part no of the bolt is N 044 721 1 it's a M8-125mm long.There's a washer too which is N 901 791 02. -
Should be fine. I,ve been towing trailers with my g60 without problems so the vr6 should be fine.
-
Awesome.I want one! :)
-
Sounds like your timing is out.Set you adj pulley to zero position first and then line up the marks on the pulley. Make sure the engine is at TDC.
-
I had the same problem a while back and it was the blue temp sensor which was causing it to over fuel on startup. I know you think it's ok but the only way to be sure is to either replace it or test it with a multimeter. Could also be a problem with a wire tracking down somewhere. Does it over fuel on start up still or when it's been running for a bit?
-
Oh dear. That does not sound good.I bought some apex seals from them a while back and so far they have been fine.Just have to wait and see. In general though by the time you add up the cost of a good quality kit you might as well just get it rebuilt by someone like g-man.

These guys are pretty good too, http://www.g-laderseite.de/eshop/index.php?cPath=30

Jay, this smells like a business opportunity mate. Whats the score with importing then? One car each? Can I scam one in with each of my kids do you think? Any other costs apart from registration and some kind of roadworthiness test? What would be a popular C to bring supposing one were to bring one? I'd have thought VR6 with aircon. Cheers Gavin Just noticed you post gavin. It would be great to bring a few more over as they would sell so quickly. The problem as carpoid mentioned is the rule of one per year and having owned and used it for the year. I have heard the import rules are changing in a few weeks but not to sure how they will effect personal imports though. The other way out is to perhaps buy a early corrado and fit it out with late model engine etc but perhaps do all the work over on that side as getting everything would be much easyier. There only worried about when the chassis was registered but the engine could be anything. Your right though. It could make a profitable business

You can leave most of it on there.Just remove the stuff from where your welding.
-
Last time i checked with vw the rallye intercooler was 450 pounds brand new.
-
Sorry to upset you all but i'm paying $0.89 or 36p :) for a litre of bp ultimate and $0.80 or 32p for regular unleaded.Driving is cheap here but you have to drive further to get anywhere.

Nakamichi make some awesome stuff.I still have one of there cr3 cassette decks.Cost me 600 pounds 10 years ago.Probably not worth much now.
