I have a hot start problem, as its ok when cold but when hot takes ages to start especially if i dont give it any throttle and it has been getting worse. Tonight tryed firing it up and will not start (cranks over but dont fire up) and ive just recently replaced the fuel filter, any idea what it could be i would be most grateful!!!!

hi can any body help, my corrado is leaking. At first i thought it was an oil or power steering fluid leak as its very close to the power steering pump, put a small dish under and found that it was anti freeze so i guess its the water pump. which has peed me off as ive just replaced my electric pump for leaking :( ( the small electric one on the right side of the head!!!) Is it a hard job as there is not alot of room down there to move how the hell do u get it out. Has any one done it them self and how long does it take. I would like to do the job my self but it looks very diffcult!!! does any one have a manual or step by step instructions,something to aid me many thanks Chris L

The definite answer is yes you can drive your car to and from a test station as long as its booked in (appointment leaving name contact details and vehicle make model reg) and yes i could drive my car from devon to scotland if i booked a test there!!!! Crazy i know. There is a BUT though you can not stop I.E to refuel etc the wording is " To and from a test station" and the test certificate is valid until it runs out so if i had a day to go or that day in fact then technically it is still valid (always runs out @ midnight) and they should not refuse to tax your vehicle as you still have time left on it making it a VALID test certificate!!! to tax you car with hope this helps i should write a book you know :wink: best regards Chris L

Got my VDO Gauges today from VAG Parts i was wondering is there a easy way to tell if the loom is in my car for these centre gauges to be fitting some people say they have it and others dont and are making their own up! which i cant understand if this is true why did VW do this my car it a 1994 ABV VR6. Phoned VW and were very unhelpful as usual!!! will look over the weekend to see if i can see an unused connector regards Chris L

Thats alright mate, yeah im the better looking one!!! He's my dad by the way!! I brought mine two months ago there some pics in general chat i posted them @ the start of this week (its under hello from new member). I made the mistake of letting him drive it and then he wanted one. But in the end he has settled for a Audi A3 1.8T!!!! Hi is there a thread on here telling or showing you how to fit the centre console gauges (the later type) a bit like a step by step thing and the parts you need to do the job properly!! I have brought the gauges from VAG parts.com so it comes with the sender. i have looked in the knowledge base and done loads of searches on the forum and cant find it. is there one and who wrote it? Also im looking for old video footage of tiff needel driving a storm back to german has anybody got this they would send me please any help i would be most gratful cheers Chris L

Ive been reading on some old threads about tiff needel driving a corrado, and generally old footage of the C beast but how do i get hold of the footage :? Before any body says you tube, i havent got a scooby do how you tube really works?? (computers and me dont go :mad: ) If some one could send me a copy of this i would be most gratful. is there a DVD of the above footage that some one could lend me or do me a copy (i pay 4 the DVD postage etc... ) any help i would be most gratful regards Chris L

Cheers shawshankkid shes only done 66,000 miles. she is good for her age though, a few stone chip here and there, that i would like to sort out, to be honest at the time i wasnt looking out for a corrado, after two 16v golfs i fancied an edition one g60 but to try and get a mint one is becoming harder and harder. I just missed out on one in bristol just before GTi Inters 06, but buying the corrado VR6 was a good move, it had only just been advertised on the auto trader website that evening. phoned up and saw it the next day fell in love with it (even the missus liked it :D especially the heated leather seats) and brought it. The drive home was amazing, the best 100 mile trip ive done in a long time. Got out the car looking like the joker out of Batman, just couldnt stop smiling, the sound, the handling, the spoiler going up in the rear view mirror!!! 8) even the little things like the Corrado logo under the rev counter, I just love about the car. I well and truely hooked Chris L

Hello my names Chris and i have just brought myself a Rado VR in moonlight blue in fact it was the previous owner Neil that put me on to the site! Yes Tony is my Dad before any body asks and really is the man behind my obsession with VDubs. Im new to rado's this being my first but ive had lots of vdubs in fact, vdubs are the only cars ive owned. Ive got a mk1 golf gti campaign in Lhasa green which ive had for about 7 years now!!! My fav Vw at the mo is the Satin Silver Corrado Vr6 in PVW April 07 (OSV466 Gareth's) as this is the line of which i would like mine to end up like!!! The OEM+ look ive always been in to as ive sort of did this to my MK1 years ago, as i used to get peed off going to GTi Inters one year buying something that was in then going back next year to buy the next crazy!!!! :roll: The main plans i have for the VR6 is to get those centre console dials, (which i have just ordered from VAG PARTS.COM) ive got black leather interior but i would love to get a pair of electric Recaro's!! :-P a set of 301 splits and the icing on the vdub cake a VSR inlet manifold :wink: AnyWay just thought i would say hello, best regards Chris L
