  2. hi i have just finished fitting my coilovers and am not 100% sure if i have set it up right as i basically measured from the bottom of the strut to the first turning ring on the front (120mm on each one) this equalled in a ground to centre of arch ride height of 592mm on the o/s/f and 598mm on the n/s/f. On the rear i did the same 155mm on each strut giving me a 595mm on the o/s/r and 598mm on the n/s/r!!! is there a more better or more accurate way of doing it, also does the suspension need time to bed in if so how many miles time period etc, should i keep measuring it over the next couple of weeks??? cheers chris p.s joinerboy here are the part numbers: 1911512333 ring 1H0412365A Threaded bush 357412331A Strut mounting S1J0412249 Bearing N10209009 Nut N10174002 Bolt 191512339 Washer 191512335 ring N90517302 Hex Screw HD N90323704 Nut Hope this helps cheers chris

  11. i agree with G charged, parts are not going to be at their best..especialy perishable rubber, and it does make sence to just do it all in one go and experience proper handling 1st time round. i have a started to get all the parts together from VW as i was to replace the perishable with OE stuff, i plan on starting this next week so may post step by step guide on here of what i did (unless theres one on here already) yep go point 'vwdeviant' my spoilers the 90mm elder one, so might look and going for the later 50mm for extra clearance!! my only real worry is about the brake compo valve, i dont want my car facing the wrong way the first time i test the new suspension!!!lol
  12. hi what other things must you consider when lowering your corrado ie renewing top mounts both front and back do you need to do any thing to the rear brake compensator valve?? and also what is a sensible drop on coilovers? been lookin on here but cant find a thread/guide on this info help many thanks chris

  21. ive brought some new under bonnet sound proofing for my vr, i started taking the old stuff of,which end up falling off as i touched it, however the glue that originally stuck it there, IS STILL THERE and will not shifting, the missus even came out to help, which was great to start off with, but i nearly went down for murder :) when i caught her wanting to use jiff and a skrower :bad-words: :cuckoo: so whats the best way without damaging the paint work and gettin the glue off so i can put the new ones on! cheers Chris
