I got the Hicon GT's aswell......I will be fitting them in the next few weeks. I had heard they were a bit hard/crashy, oh well see how I go once there on I suppose. Leaking already isnt good, how long had you had them for when they started ?
-
I have yeah. It's not necessary, but imo it's best to prepare the car for more power so I renewed as much as possible. Coilovers aren't necessary unless you want a lower, better handling car which is what I wanted. ....not sure why but I cant PM you Herisites  !!! what do you think of the weitecs ? - sorry off topic but Big Ben said he was cool with it.
-
herisites.....dont want to hi jack post, gonna pm you about them as I've just bought some.
-
herisites you've got weitecs havent you ? ......seen in other posts......do you think putting a supercharger on requires suspension upgrades or will standard be ok ?
-
blimmey 4-5 hours, knew it wasnt difficult but didnt realise it was that quick......interesting !!
-
out of interest when you say 'wont take long', what sort of time scale are you talking about ?
-
I admire your attitude mate, hope your connection is good because your gonna be here alot in the future by the sounds of it :D
-
Its what I was going to ask you actually, will be an interesting thread if you post it......good luck :thumbleft:
-
.....couldnt agree more, I love the 993 awesome car, not keen on the 996 but hey its still a porsche !! Gonna buy a 997 next week when I win the lottery on Saturday :D
-
complete guess as I've never even noticed them but maybe fuel cut out  ......
-
.....overpriced VW coupe, ring any bells :ignore:
-
http://blog.cardomain.com/2009/05/21/vw-scirocco-r/ ........... sorry if this has been posted already but only just seen it........uuuummmmm :D Shame though that we might be seeing the end of the narrow V for fast VW's :(
-
you might as well go fully comp, it doesn't actually cost much more these days. well, less than you think it will anyway.[/quote:bdfyxb1d] .....looking at £750 fully comp with that deal :(
-
Got a requote today from my current insurers.....£515, TPTF, with my girlfriend on policy, unlimited mileage (was capped before at 5K) and able to drive any other insured vehicle......getting better I suppose
-
red tails rule, especially on red based C's.....go fo it mate.
-
I remember those days.....keep the faith mate, once you pass 25 insurance does drop although not as much as we would all like as this thread demonstrates :bad-words:
-
yeah i'm with adrian flux at the moment aswell.....£300 is tempting quote at the moment, it just feels like so many restrictions :(
-
Its not something I would do but to a certain extent I kinda think that seen as though they shaft us on a regular basis its one up on them.....but dont get me wrong as I said its not something I would recommend or do. I will give Lynbrook a call thanks. It seems after ringing around the garage thing is the most important aspect.....basically your not covered if it gets stolen from home address and is not in the garage.

...ouch [/quote:363tbcrk] you know living in south london doesn't help our cause either. before the incident i was paying about 400 i think.[/quote:363tbcrk] Yeah I know, a mate of mine use to register his car at his brothers place in Blackpool.....not the best idea I know but he use to think he saved about £800 on insurance premium each year :? £400 was pretty good.....just got another quote for classic car insurance and its down to £300 which is better......does mean I have capped mileage and can only drive at night with my mother in-law in the passenger seat :D
-
I need to move to Warwick :?
-
Jim what company is that with.....I do less than 5k a year and would like to get a classic policy. I have a moped to use for work and use the C very sparingly. I tried with one company and they said I needed to have a policy on another car to prove it was a second car....apparently a policy on a moped isnt enough :censored:
-
nice wheels, welcome. good to see beer crates holding other important objects !! :D

Hi guys, Was just wondering what everyone else is paying in car insurance on their C's. I know car insurance is like black magic and taxation - no rhyme nor reason :cuckoo: ......but still intrigued to compare. I live in London, 27 yrs young, have clean licence and 5 yrs NCB.....I just got quote £529 from Chris Knott. Thing that bugs me is that I've been paying between £500-£600 for the last three years, and never seems to go down. Any thoughts, comparisons or suggestions ? thanks Danny

 Cheers Fella,it was on a rough bumpy back road...My car has more power as it caught up quickly, but the AWD R32 on the twisty bumpy back roads had more grip at all time vs my open diff with to much hp to put it onto the tarmac. :cuckoo: More smoother roads and i would have had him no problem.......[/quote:19fhk8fk] parf who needs AWD anyway..... who's was cooler with more character I ask myself :D
