  1. speaking of farmers and leaving mud on the road. A local farmer here had been doing the usual dumping mud on the road as he went from his field to his farm (about 200 yards doen the road). Last week driving home i felt the mud under my tyres and slowed down, where the mud was there was a slight peak and turn in the road and my car twitched as i went over the peak and round the slight bend, next morning a car had crash on that strip of road... sad thing is the car had gone straight into the farmers fence and into his front garden. needless to say that night the road had been cleaned by contractors.

  6. bewarned a stiff pedel will make the gromet on the pedel stretch and the cable will pop out leavingyou with no throttle at all. happen to me twice over a weekend before i could get to the stealer and get a new cable and gromet

    i bet its the jabba chip too. mine was over fueling like mad on the jabba chip, but the sns chip was far better on fueling
  8. Probably a wet fart like the rest or the Corrado type replacement reports, still 2008.. my leon with be up for replacement by then so who knows :lol:
  9. i can see JCBs going down the road with the bucket down!! LOL, they were tested in spain for the british cops some time ago iirc

  11. RobyD Check the ariel Connector on the alarm brain, over the cause of such problems. If you get stuck I've got the cable and a lap top.

  17. if its running lean then it will run hot. replace the expansion tank top then the tank and the the temp senders. is the fan operational?
  18. look at orange sticker near the air box that will tell ya, looks bery dark violet pearl effect to me, but hard to tell.

  20. dcuk, sorry i know know but it was to easy, The heater controls come out easy enough. i think its one of those puch fit bulbs that are the same as sidelight bulbs, you know the pure glass ones that just have a couple of wires bent around the glass for contacts.

  24. all cars are easy to clock, the easy way to stop the milage running up is disconnect the speedo!! digital ones can be "corrected" easy as pie
  25. Well had to happen, ASDA was selling Diesel(95.9) and Petrol 1p cheaper than any other gas station at fosse park in liecester, They've sold out of fuel, and so had a local BP station. I filled up and a 20l fuel can today, should keep me going for a week and half at least should the worst happen over the coming weeks.
