dan, The VR6 ECU apparently has a memory and can hold fault codes or something. its been talked about alot over the years. The according to VW the probe should be changed every so many thousand miles regardless of condition (feck that at £90) or what ever the price.

  12. Ztone, the clifford wizard need a cable from clifford. you need to change it from manual gear box to auto gearbox setting then go from there.
  13. but a wankel is a four stroke otto two, just the piston(s) are of a completely different configuration. isn't it????? i.e rotatry piston
  14. if the shed had power, string up a small 20 or 30 watt bulb and hang it inside the car, the heat off the bulb will stop the damp, stick it on a timer for over night use too. you can also stick one under the engine to do the same thing
  15. what you have done is basically re-program the auto start for a manual car, you need to reprogram it for an automatic car. that way the car can be auto started without the autostart running before you leave the car.
  16. Or you could just have anti car jack like the clifford black jaxx that allows them to drive the car to a safe distance then shuts the car down alarms blazing. It basically works on Revs and time, about 30 seconds and 1500 revs and it triggers the system. Only draw back is that if the car doesn't slow down it wont shutdown. (having tried the system out) it waits for the engine revs to drop before shutting it off so the car is not at speed when it happens
  17. is it a manual car? if so the engine needs to be running, then put into autostart mode by pressing shift twice then button 3(the big button being button one, then clock wise round the button 2 3 4 etc) (shift is the side button) the engine will then stay running while you turn the key to the off position. then get out of the car and arm it in the normal way. the engine will stop. on returning to the car press button 3 and it will start. You can get nearly all the clifford manualshere and you can they program the alarm as required. but the best way to do it is get the clifford wizard and a laptop and put the PC into the alarm G4 port if its compatable.
  18. Just installed a Eurosport intercooler to throttle body pipe and i can honestly say the throttle response seems to be better. Even though i have only Half the kit (second hand) i can honestly say im happy with the mod. not sure its worth spending all that money on the full kit (£160), but if your serious about mods then this is a must. anyone looking for them check here BUT having spoken to Darren at G-werks I think he is looking into something similar.
  19. Time to debadge your cars guys as the thieve's wont know what exact model the car is as most cars stolen to order are very specific model wise it might slow them down.
  20. Supercharged, that document is dated Dec 2001?????
  21. one thing i've learnt never asumer anything with garages, get down on your knees by the tank flap and check the filter is nice and new, you can see it just infront of the rear wheel.
