  1. okay here is a copy of an old email i got off gyln Williams over a year ago Nigel, Good idea if you are in a hotter climate. The best location for the oil cooler is just to the left of the radiator as you look from the front (however you probably have a bigger radiator than the standard G60, as I understand you have aircon) just below and in front of the G-lader. The best way to get access to this space is to remove the bumper - undo the 4 retaining bolts & slide forward, remembering to unplug the foglight & indicator loom. You need to have a thermostatic feed from the oil filter head to prevent over cooling - they usually open at about 70'C or so. Remove the old water fed oil-cooler and replace the coolant pipe with one from a Mk 2 Golf without this type of oil-cooler. You then have clearance problems with the exit box from the G-lader for the oil feed pipes from the thermostatic head - you will probably have to replace this with something like the Bahn Brenner exit pipe to give you more room. The best oil coolers are probably Mocal ones which come in a variety of shapes & sizes - try & use the biggest one you can fit - the are fairly widely available from most of the tuners/specialists - maybe talk to Jabbasport etc as I am sure they have fitted them before. I fitted my own, although it is a bit involved it certainly makes a difference to the oil temps. Hope this helps Glyn
  2. Someone look that part number up on the EPC 034 117 021 that will tell you what model there were fitted to.
  3. Dash lights on you need to do it quickly but not that quick on then off over 5 seconds max or something your alarm should chirp if this feature is fitted to your alarm
  4. I guess you leave the VW cooler in place cos you put another cooling ring in between the filer and the VW OEM one as far as i know. If not then you just join them together for a guess
  5. okay Clifford Alarms are easy to set off when washing the car however all you do is tunr the key all the way on and off quickly, this stops the car auto arming and you can then remove the key lock the car a wash it with the keys in your pocket, Better the valet mod imho
  6. the lock thing you can get the corrado to do that, but you need to cut a wire somewhere, someone mentioned it somewhere, should of noted it down ment to do it to my C
  7. okay thought about this ramdomly last night Raise the spoiler manually and the drive top over 70mph then slow down and see is the spoiler drops automatically. Another way to help find the problem may be?????

    Why?

The Corrado was finished bacause the Karmann Factory needed the production run time for the new golf Cab. They also had problems with the airbag systems and revamping the dash again for it all.

  10. if it works with the radio off then thats the answer, i'd unplug it just in case
  11. I dont know what make the flaps are but those one on Ebay are not the Same as the VW ones  i just bought
  12. The VW logos are passat mud flaps and Chris C is mine BTW saw it at the weekend. I'll have some pics of mine with the flaps on by the weekend.
  13. The Logos for a the Flaps are no longer stocked by any UK dealers guys range round the ones i was given as having them in stock. one there a few sets away last years what a muppet
  14. Okay I've sorted the mud flaps once and for all, well 90% anyway The Flaps are for various Models of Vw's and as BANANA MAN, says their are part number is 821-VAG-857 Now this is were the fun starts The Flaps have a space on them for the "corrado" badge to go, or other VW model. Now in the Case of the Corrado these badges were part number 821-VAG-844, but they are no longer made or available as they were made by quatium the same as the oil and are UK parts/Accessories only. As are ALL xxx-VAG-xxx parts. For the Corrado you also need a special fitting kit that requires a longer screw than the once that come with the flaps. Part Number 821-VAG-845 so to recap 821-VAG-857 Flaps in sets of two (1 Pair) 821-VAG-845 Fitting Kit For The Corrado 1 Kit per pair required (i think) 821-VAG-844 Corrado badge for flaps (discontinued) I have managed to get 2 set of flaps from the Local Dealers hear in the UK while on my visit, I've ordered the Fitting Kits and I found one set of the Flap badges this morning at the VW show at Stamford Hall. The ones with the VW logo are apparently a better shape and are for the Passat, they are from the 97 range for one set and another year for the other set. Someone else will need to fill in that 10% of info.
