    Yeah they are TT pedels they are simple to fit, but their are LHD and RHD sets, This is becasue on the LHD models the Gas pedel Pad is shorter. Nigel B
  3. G5 is the Fifth gerneration alarm that clifford are starting to pump out next stage on from the G4 systems. Seems that clifford uk and US havn't updated the web sites yet. I have a new Pro version of the Clifford net Pro software with G5 system programming features along with all the older stuff

  6. according to etka the different rad are for different climate conditions and the extra you have All AC cars have the big rad all Autos have the big rad etc etc all hot climate cars have big rads Looked last night
  7. You SHOULD do this according to VW To Drain the system First Run the car to normal operating temperature untill the termostat opens, open heater control up to full heat. Now disconnect the Bottem Rad hose (you are ment to disconntect the short one between the bottem rad hose and the water pump neat the front right wheel but its a pig, so the bottem rad is the best option. (the water will be hot). Once drain replace the stat as scot said and the you need to flush the system. YOU MUST WAIT FOR THE BLOCK TO COOL DOWN BEFORE REFILLING THE SYSTEM Next close the system full the system with distilled water. make sure you get all airlocks out. Run engine to operating temperature to flush system. Now drain system again. Once cooled again Premix your new G12+ coolant/antifreeze to the correct ratio for your climate. I used 3 to 2 ratio as per instrutions and used nearly 3l of g12+. Now that the block is cool refill and seal the system, run engine, checking water level till it doesn't drop anymore. Replace Cap and leave running to force any air pockets through.

    HAVE A LOOK HERE :wink: Do a search for: - IP67 Flush Mount Metal Body and you should be able to find these that LOOK close to mine Need to double check on my C later tonight

    What ever it says on the inside of the fuel flap is a general guide. (you should have a sticker in there) Also the size of the fuel filler spout. Unleaded 95 etc has a smaller nossle than LRP, its ment to stop people putting LRP or 4* at the time into a unleaded running car with a cat. Also I think im correct in saying that unleaded cars all have a non return flap on the spout. One other thing some of you may not of worked out, is the two notches in the Fuel Cap enable you to put the cap on the flap when filling!! And if you didn't know that, you must be a new to the VAG world!!

  12. okay been out to look at my G60 it appears that i have a rather larger rad than i thought Doh maybe cos its cos i've got A/C and you need a bigger rad as the AC rad sits in front of it. so here is a pic of my rad mount on the left hand side just above the headlight, you can clearly see that there is now was you'd get the second rad fan in but you should be able to get the rad in, Now i dont know if it will fit to the earlier model, as im not sure if the mounts are the same

  14. but how you gonna mount a G60 fan housing to a Vr rad? the g60 housing is smaller. i think one fan does run off the other i'd need to check
  15. i have carpet mats with a stiched logo so where did they come from..... i want a new set :cry:
  16. What was the part number?? i've just been given a part number from the states for the oem carpets mats in black with red "corrado" lettering.

    The Red button is infact the LED for the Alarm as Andi said and the one the other side of the coin holder is one of the Blackjaxx keypads (i swap them from time to time!!

    the one on the dash is water and shouldn't get to high mine sits at about 80-90 in here on the sunny costa del sol, i've just changed to G12+ coolant and i runs cooler too!!
  19. the VR6 one wont fit as it has two fans as far as i know
  20. i did mine myself buy film cut to shape on outside of car then inside spray the window with water and washing up liquid, place film on window, trim to size, then add more water/washing up liquid, remove backing and apply using soft rubber of plastic remove bubbles. easy once you get the hand of it really. Pro's charge a lot to do it more or less the same way, but using better film i think

  23. I'd go for a VR6 now as my next C only cos they are newer, however if the G60 was made in till the end of the production i'd have a G60 anyday over a VR6
  24. Its a Special Kit that Hella Used to do, I have a spare unit but im not selling that, otherwise i can get one for £140 i think i'll have to check basically it rains wipers come on
  25. I would personally get the lot rebuilt because the rest could go a year or two down the line. Or find a Golf Turbo Diesel 6 speed cable box, apparently it fits!!! get down the breakers and see if you can get the box for a few hundred then you have a new ish tranny and 6 speeds!!
