Chris Langdon's Moonlight Blue VR6 thread!!!
JJS replied to Chris Langdon's topic in Members Gallery
Ooo nice! Proper pirelli centercaps as well. My center caps got nicked with all the door side strips on a posh street in hamstead of all places. Anyway looks lovely Chris, how have you kept the body so neat, has it had a nip and tuck here and there? respray? My lhasa was dressed as a campaign on a private plate but clearly on an original Y 83 reg a campaign it was not. Usual rusty filler neck and bottom of the doors started to go before I part x'd for a mk4 gti turbo. The mk1 was for me a car I wanted in every colour, they all looked great, even mars red, but the rarest was the helios blue wasn't it? Do any turn up at the vw shows in blue? I'd be like a kid in a toy shop if I saw one now. Lovely pics thanks for posting. Jon -
Yeah that red steel thing does resemble a waterslide. - The ArcelorMittal Orbit £19.1m design incorporates the five Olympic rings and will offer visitors panoramic views of London, apparently.. Great! Waterslide would be more fun and a bit cheaper. Supercharged - It would be nice if my firm followed promoted home working. do you work in the big smoke as well? my role is client facing so they say working from home is not the done thing...i personally don't see a problem with it from time to time as i have all the technology to to do it and can talk to my clients in a nice posh voice from home just the same as i do in the office!
-
My work sent out an email suggesting we all allow an extra hour for travel the Olympic weeks. So it already takes me 1hr10m to get to work and I leave at 6am as it is. yeah right. How about I work from home more like instead of spending 4 hrs a day on a train... And I applied for 1.5k of the average events at the Olympics and got nout. Grrr, will boycott as well if I can but I fear I'll be stuck in the middle of it , on a train for 2 weeks.
-
Stuck again this morning. I'd drive but don't want to add to the mileage that much. Anyway if anyone is interested this is my current view of the Olympics site from the chuff chuff.

Sorry officer, I had know idea this was the runway! The sign said long stay parking.

Signal failure or something...I'm so bored, anyone got any good jokes to keep me amused? :|

I think its more important to find one (VR or Valve) that has clearly been looked after. Attention to detail from the previous owner, receipts that match up with the owners details given when you talk to them and personally I'd advise to only buy from someone on here that has clearly loved their car. It doesn't guarantee anything of course but it would be a massive step towards finding the right one. History of posts on here will show you if the owner has looked after their motor. Jon

We're probably all related to your cuz tentonhammer. Gets worse the nearer you get to Norwich!

Thanks. Not gone, just garaged for the winter. It was the previous owner who spent 3k on her at Stealth Racing not me squire! I'm still reaping the benefits of that i guess as only had minor corrado faults and standard servicing / MOT costs since then.
-
Hi Chris, purchased in 06 from a member on here who loved her to bits but moved on after spending a little too much on her at Stealth Racing!. Bought with 104k on clock and 6 years on its on 119k.

Thats the whole point of the saddle, to make it so uncomfortable that you don't sit down and you work harder;-) . I'm doing the same to shed some pounds as just purchased a mountain bike as well. Saddle looks great but boy does it make my nads ache. Good job I don't need them anymore!

Nice looking wheels, not surprised it nearly killed you, are you 6 ft 7? or have i got the perspective all wrong?
-
Thanks Rams. Think I'd have to go some to match yours though. Will be good to finally get out and meet up with fellow Corrado spotters!
-
She reminded me today why I still love the Corrado so much. Not driven her for 3 weeks and she fired up like she'd been out only the day before and on taking a look at my heater controls it turned out to only need the contacts to be cleaned up and straightened a bit. Now working on speeds 1-4 once more! She drove like a dream over to my parents house were she will garaged for the a for the remaining Winter months.
-
Fixing the Heater Control, now contacts are cleaned up and working again on 1-4. Wash, Vac and checked over before disconnecting the battery and garaged for a little while.

Welcome back bryn, Not your typical Essex boy name if you don't mind me saying. One of the main reasons I haven't let my corrado go yet as most people regret selling when they have a good one and soon return. Just having a fling with an R32 at mo. Anyway good to have another Essex boy on the forum. Like above the guys on this forum are fine tuned and well oiled, more friendly and helpful than other forums. Where in Essex are you based mate? Working around porsche's must be a pleasure? Jon

Oh yeah thats him. Cracks me up. Oh and my student days were in Bristol Baron. Spent most of my time playing football on the downs and then in the corry tap cider place. Is it still there? Strong stuff.. As for sit com Not going out with lee mack is so bad its quite funny.

Probably seen it too many times now but will anyone ever make a film as funny as The Life of Brian? Ok parts of the Inbetweeners movie cracked me up but it did just seem to be a lets make some money at xmas film. Not knocking it mind as it has been a refreshing addition to comedy on TV. Fresh Meat is amusing as well, probably because I reminds me of my student house too much. The posh guy is top class! Whats his name?

Might be showing my age now but just flicked on 353 MTV Dance. Much more entertaining, classic 90's clubbing. Better than the bbc!

Like carrot cake, used to like it but I just don't get it anymore. As for Lenny Henry, don't get me started! Whatever next?
